Cottage on Gocio Road

We spent an entire month at Nigel and Simone‘s cottage. it was simply wonderful, an experience we will treasure for the rest of our lives. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, clean, and completely welcoming. The term “premier host” is sometimes used a bit too casually. Nigel and Simone are simply the best hosts we have encountered in our extensive travels. There were a few very minor issues that needed attention, mostly because we’re not so great at handling new equipment. But Nigel was always responsive very quickly to our requests and took care of everything immediately. One of the best aspects of this rental is the extensive amount of equipment that is available; beach, chairs, camping chairs, blankets, umbrella, everything you need for the beach and enough for at least four people. We had some family come down, and we never had to worry about having enough equipment; one camping chair, broke, and within a day Nigel presented us with two brand new chairs. Where do you get that kind of service? The location is convenient to downtown Sarasota, the beach, Selby gardens, the airport, and every kind of shopping imaginable.

Cozy Sarasota Cottage

The cottage was a nice home away from home. We really enjoyed our stay and all the amenities. The kitchen area was perfect and stocked with all the necessary utensils and cookware. The bed was super comfy and the back porch was great to enjoy morning coffee. Nigel was super fast to respond to any inquiries we had. It is a little slice of heaven. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

Cute cottage

This is an older cottage and does show its age in some areas. The bathroom is newer and the shower is very nice. The private outdoor area was nice. It only has a 1 room wall air conditioner and runs all the time to keep the place cool. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which does help. The queen bed in the bedroom is actually a futon, but has a nice mattress on it. The surface is clean, but could use a deep, steam clean and caulk and paint. Overall, it was an okay place.

Hello! We're Nigel & Simone and we'd like to welcome you to Sunny Sarasota!
We live just outside of Downtown in a charming little Old Florida cottage dating from 1916 on 1/3 of an acre, covered by the greenest of greenery, guarded by giant oaks and flowering shrubbery.

We're on our next chapter in life after seeing our grown children off into life and we're looking forward to sharing a small bit of this adventure with you!

We work locally in design and own a local cafe in Payne Park, Downtown Sarasota. Come visit!

We love to travel, read, work around our little cottage and explore the established and new sights & adventures of the Sarasota / Tampa area.
