Located in the quaint town if Alachua that was recently featured in Southern Living Magazine, you will find our well appointed guest house on 4 beautiful woodsy acres with large oak trees in Alachua horse country. Just a short drive to High Springs, Ginnie Springs and the conveniences of Gainesville, the University of Florida, Florida Gator games GO GATORS and 50 minutes to HITS Ocala.

The cottage is free standing and separated from the main home by a lovely porch/breezeway area. Tastefully furnished with large bedroom suite + super comfortable queen size bed. Open floor plan Living/dining/kitchen combo. High ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, gas fireplace; nice cabinetry and trim work and wood floors throughout. Pullout full size sofa bed. Kitchen is fully equipped with cooktop, microwave oven, full size refrigerator and all cooking utensils. Lux bedding and linens. Large walk in closet. Please note there is no washer and dryer in the guesthouse.

The home is located at the end of a private dirt road off of the canopied 78 Street corridor in horse country. Close to Ginny Springs, Poe Springs or Blue Springs if you’re coming to canoe, kayak, tube, cave dive or just explore. Amazing trails at near by San Felasco park. Lovely antique shops in High Springs and plenty of great restaurants in both Alachua and High Springs.

Great place to stay

Great location and the Country Cottage was very clean and the perfect size. Nice local spots to explore and close enough to Gainesville to stay for a football game. Sally and Andres are great hosts!

Relaxing and friendly

Lovely Cottage in the Country

The cottage was a perfect getaway for us. It is very private with lovely grounds. Very convenient to shopping and the outdoor parks that we love! We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay!

Comfy Cottage for Football Weekend

This well appointed cottage great for long weekend stay near Gainesville. Beautiful setting, very comfortable accommodations and delightful owners. About 25 minutes from the University of Florida campus.

Great country cottage!

Lovely property that was conveniently located just a short drive away from Gainesville. We went to a Gator game and hiked the nearby trails. Sally was wonderful. We will definitely stay again!

Country Cottage

The cottage was beautifully decorated, quiet, and clean. We arrived to a tray of fancy cupcakes and a comfortable bed after a long day of driving. Great place to stay away from the traffic of Gainsville. Beautiful old oaks.

Can't be any better

This was my second stay here. It is still cozy, spotless, peaceful, and beautifully situated. The bed is really comfortable and the owners are on site and extremely helpful. As good as a rental gets!!!

Second time staying was just as amazing

Our return visit to Sally’s cottage was just as we remembered. It was clean, adorable, and so comfortable. The bed is fantastic. Our 8yo loved checking out the chickens and we ate some fresh eggs for breakfast. Sally’s hospitality is thoughtful and experienced. We will return again for sure.

Pretty & Peaceful

Spotless and charming. Out of the fray, but still close to whatever you need. A family of deer met us coming and going. We needed to be at UF, and got there in minutes. Highly recommend, would absolutely stay again.

Country Cottage Didn't Disappoint

Enjoyed our stay at the lovely Cottage. Very clean with everything you need. Hosts were super nice and great with communication. Hiked the trails nearby and UF was close for the football game and volleyball games. Saw a huge buck on the dirt road coming in. Would most definitely stay here again!

Perfect Home Away From Home

We needed to spend 4 nights in Gainesville for multiple spring graduation ceremonies. A cramped hotel room was not a desirable option. I couldn't have found a better place to spend our downtime between all of the festivities. Sally & Andres were the perfect hosts and their cute guest house was everything we needed and more. From a comfortable bed, space to spread out to work on our laptops and having small special requests met - we wanted for nothing! The location is away from campus (about 20-25 minutes), but the drive is very easy and worth being out in the quiet countryside. Loved hearing the birds and animals on the property. Thank you, Sally & Andres, for sharing your home with us on such an important weekend for our family. Please give the kitty head scratches as we didn't get to see him when we departed :)

Immaculate guest house, lovely owners

This cottage was perfect for our weekend trip to Gainesville for a mountain bike race. We were minutes away from both San Felasco and Hailes Trails. My husband, 5-year-old daughter and I loved the property. It’s down a well maintained dirt road in what looks like a great neighborhood. We saw a deer on our way in the first night! Lots of beautiful old trees. The home is very cute and well lit at night. It’s furnished tastefully and was sparkling clean. Our bed was comfy and my little one slept without complaints on the pullout couch. There were plenty of towels available, shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. Everything we could ask for was available. Sally and her husband were exemplary hosts and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She even let my little one help her feed the chickens!! We plan on staying again for the next race.
