Luxury Yurt bordering Flathead Lake

This 2 bedroom yurt is located on our farm down a private road on the northern end of Flathead Lake. The views are spectacular as it sits on a 7 foot platform for you to enjoy 360 degree views of the valley, Flathead Lake, Glacier Park, The Swan Mountains, Blacktail Mountain and the big skies and stars of Montana. Enjoy 855 interior sq. ft. which includes 2 bedrooms, bathroom, washer and dryer, full kitchen with Miele appliances with a nice sized living area which includes a dining room table and seats six. The bedrooms are mirror images with a good sized bathroom in between featuring double sinks. The new deck has a fire pit and Big Green Egg BBQ and spectacular views.

The yurt has 4 glass windows which can open and close to add to the ventilation, four large plastic windows as well as a dome for additional light. The french doors can also be opened for comfort if needed. In the summer we have air conditioners in the bedrooms and Dyson fans for the living area which work really well. The yurt is heated with cadet heaters and we also put an extra heater near the plastic windows for added comfort on really chilly days. This spot is ideal for those who want to try out the concept of glamping as well as the ability to work remotely!

We have a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee that we rent as well as two 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicons and a 2021 Jeep Wrangler electric/hybrid soft-top Jeep Wrangler XE. Please contact us for details if you are interested. We offer our guests discounted rates and also have car seats, ski racks and coolers. Note: we do sell these out in the summer.

Yurt Love

The yurt in Somers, MT exceeded our expectations. Everything we needed to make our stay wonderful was available to us. We loved the well appointed kitchen that allowed us to make our own meals. The views of the mountains and lake were breathtaking, especially at sunrise. Everything was spotless and the bed was super comfy. I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in experiencing Montana!

Amazing!

The perfect spot to disconnect from reality and enjoy your surroundings! The yurt is absolutely beautifully made, surprisingly very spacious and hold in heat/ac amazing. I went with just my spouse, but would also be a great getaway for a few friends. You are in close proximity to Glacier, Flathead and anything you might want to do. The couple that owns the property will be sure to make it as easy as possible for you! Definitely Recommend.

Glamping in MT

The Somers Yurt is gorgeous inside and out. Lots of very nice amenities from high end appliances and super comfy beds to the little things like spices/ sandwich bags/ cooler which makes packing a lunch for GNP easy peasy. Dinner /games on the deck watching the moonrise is a must. You are close enough to the park yet also far enough away to avoid some of the crowds. Flathead Lake is a beautiful spot - so take a day just to chill there. Linda and Dave have truly thought of everything to make your MT visit most enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and rent one of their jeeps - they went above and beyond for us when we had flight delays.

Fabulous Exoerience

The Somers Yurt was everything as described and more. The yurt is in the middle of a beautiful, well maintained farm, and we enjoyed the view of the fields of crops surrounding the yurt. You could see Flathead lake, and even an eagles nest in the distance. The inside was spacious enough for four adults, and the kitchen had all the appliances you need. Lots of extra things provided inside like shampoo, laundry detergent, spices, etc that made our stay easy. The air units in each bedroom kept those rooms cool in the 95+ heat if you kept the doors closed. The living area got warm in the middle of the day, but Linda and Dave were very helpful by bringing extra fans. We also enjoyed the deck outside where we could sit and watch the wildlife, grill out, and sit by the fire pit. The location of the yurt is only a 12 minute drive to Bigfork, where we spent most of our time, and it was an easy drive to Kalispell as well. Overall a wonderful experience!

To sit on the deck with the fire lit looking out over the lake with the mountains in the background was magical. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Dave for giving us a tour of the farm.

Amazing

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Everything was better than expected. The yurt itself is so darn cute, was very clean, and had a ton of amenities. We loved exploring the surrounding towns as well as enjoying the beautiful mountain views from the deck. We are already planning our next stay. This place was everything we could have asked for and more.

We are a couple who reside in New York City and have spent the past twenty years vacationing in the area with our four children (now grown). We also have a condo in Bigfork. The farm grows wheat, canola, peas, alfalfa and barley. We also have a couple of barns (historic), grain bins and a farm house on the property which we also rent. This is an ideal setting for renting more than one property as an extended family.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We purchased this farm (300 acres) in 2003 as the views are stunning and it is in a unique location being so close to Flathead Lake. There are so many activities we enjoy in the area that we wanted to be able to enjoy coming to the Flathead all year round. We enjoy fly-fishing, skiing and horseback riding and the quality of life that Somers and Bigfork have to offer. We love the weather during the summer and the winters are remarkably mild with an abundance of snow. There is also a lot of wildlife on the property, particularly ducks, geese, deer and coyotes!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love this location as it is so central to various parts of the Flathead, close to the restaurants and the galleries in Bigfork and Whitefish. The farm and valley look so different throughout the year and each season is a unique experience. The yurt stays very cozy in the winter and makes a great retreat. Fun fact: it's easier to heat a yurt than cool one!
