GORGEOUS OCEANFRONT PENTHOUSE

Completely renovated true oceanfront 3 bedroom (2 bedroom plus loft) 3 bathroom penthouse in Papakea (unit F405). The view is phenomenal!!! There is absolutely nothing in between you and the ocean which is 50 feet away. Whale watching from the living room, the lanai… even the master shower. Absolutely gorgeous renovation with new 4 zone A/C. Not your average property, this bright and airy home with high vaulted ceilings is beautifully furnished with a casual beachy flair. The new 4 panel sliding door really opens up the indoor space to the lanai which is perfectly furnished for relaxing or socializing. Papakea has 3 “TRUE” oceanfront buildings and only a handful of 3 bedroom 3 bathroom suites.

Thoughtfully designed with an abundance of seating inside and out and a beautiful driftwood table that seats 10. Enjoy an afternoon of reading and relaxing on the lanai day bed listening to the lull of the ocean waves. Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on the super comfy lounge chairs or enjoy your morning latte on the outdoor table for two. Large sectional for cozy evenings with the family watching movies on the big flat screen TV.

Need to get away? Enjoy the gorgeous master suite with luxurious king size upholstered bed, vaulted ceilings and cozy swivel chair to enjoy the stunning views. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves in the master bedroom and open up the beautiful new windows which allow an extra spacious opening to appreciate this amazing location.

The second bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed plus a built-in single bed on top of the owner’s lock off closet. The 3rd bedroom is a spacious loft with stairs from the living room. It has a sliding woven shade for additional separation and privacy. Privacy shade is not shown in the photos. This bedroom has some ocean views and a queen bed along with a twin bed. We also have a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The stairs to the loft bedroom are narrower and slightly steeper than normal stairs, so not the best for the elderly or toddlers. Our suite does sleep 10 people, but we would not suggest this for an extended visit, as it might seem crowded.

We like quality, so we have not scrimped on beds, linens, towels, dishes etc. Beautiful upholstered beds, Saatva luxury mattresses and fresh white 100% cotton sheets. We have an abundance of dishes, wine glasses, serving pieces etc. No need to go out for lattes, with our Breville machine, also a drip coffee for those who prefer. Make smoothies with the Vitamix blender and fresh juice with the Champion Juicer. Our brand new full size washer and dryer is perfect for a large family.

If you read through some of the reviews you will see that we are very hands on and always available to answer any of your queries, and unexpected issues that can sometimes arise. We provide an extensive info manual to answer all your questions and have things very well organized and labelled for your convenience. Our Maui home is kept impeccably clean.

We are perfectly situated in the complex to maximize the cooling trade winds and 4 nice big ceiling fans keep it naturally comfortably cool. But for those who want it really cool we have installed a brand new 4 zone A/C unit which cools all 3 bedroom and the living room separately.

We love our Papakea location just a short walk to so many amenities. The famed Kaanapali Beach is less than a 10 min walk away and this beautiful beach stretches over 2 miles to Black Rock point at the Sheraton and then beyond to Whaler’s Village and the Kaanaplia Resorts. For the runners and walkers in your group there is an approximately 7-mile return run along the boardwalk or along the ocean’s edge. Along the boardwalk there are a number of ocean front resort restaurants and bars to enjoy breakfast, lunch, happy hour or dinner. Dukes restaurant is a perfect spot for a sunset dinner and is a short ocean front walk away. There are a handful of yoga and fitness classes along the oceanfront that you can sign up for. Across the street are a variety of stores including a grocery store, fish market, coffee shop, Paradiso Pizza, & walk-in medical clinic etc. There is a great collection of food trucks, a five minute walk away. The Thai food is especially good there.

The straight goods on the beach: there is only a small amount of beach left in front of Papakea and this varies depending upon the time of year, swell and tides. Many years ago Papakea had an expansive beach which was washed away in a storm. Now if the tide is not too high, there is a bit of beach on the north or south end of the development. There are stairs leading down to the beach, but the beach is NOT large enough for lounge chairs. You can access the water there and if the waves are not too big you can see people swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding and paddleboarding out in front. The water is not that deep as there is a reef out in front. Some days you can see kite surfers, wind surfers and surfers right in front! There is a multitude of places to take surf lesson or rent surboards all within a 10 minute drive of Papakea. The resort immediately south of us does have a beach which you can walk to in 2 minutes. That beach is wide enough that people do relax on towels & chairs. Our favourite closest beach is Kaanapali Beach which you can walk to in 10 mins. At the north end the waves tend to be a little bigger, and if you’re looking for calmer water or shade just head south. We really love the cove beaches at Napili Beach & Kapalua Bay and they are a 10 min drive north. There are lots of lounge chairs at Papakea and its lovely just to relax on the grass overlooking the ocean and then pop into the water if you want to cool down!

Papakea is a peaceful Hawaiian style low rise 13 acre family friendly oceanfront resort. At dusk every evening the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds through-out the property. Offers complimentary Wi-Fi, cable television and free local calls. There are 2 saltwater oceanfront pools both heated to 86 degrees, 2 jacuzzi’s, 2 lit tennis/pickeball courts, 2 shuffleboard courts, 2 eighteen hole putting greens, lush gardens with koi ponds, and 12 lit Weber BBQ’s.

Pool cabanas which accommodate up to 35 people for big family dinners. There are complimentary fitness classes including yoga, tai chi and swimmercise, complimentary Thur afternoon Mai Tai party & putting tournament on Sundays.

Front desk reception to obtain your keycard and get directions to your room. Luggage carts, elevators and 2 sets of stairs provide easy access for your move in and out of this 4th floor unit.

The nightly fee is for 8 guests. If you have 9 or 10 guests there is an extra fee to cover the extra cleaning and laundry fees and the extra wear and tear on the property.

We provide beach chairs, a cooler, boogie board or boards and a beach umbrella for your convenience. We have light weight fast drying beach towels for 10.

Absolutely no smoking or pets allowed – even on the lanai.
