Our apartment is located in the historic heart of Bonnieux, one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. It is in a stone building of the eighteenth century that we renovated in the rules of art with natural materials such as wood and natural stone. Located in a pedestrian street caladée just below the old church of the twelfth century, it combines peace and comfort. It has a beautiful sunny garden terrace of 20 m2. This beautiful apartment of 60 m2 consists of two trays of 30 m2 each. It will allow you to enjoy both village life and a pleasant living space. Ideal for two people (maximum 4 using the sofa bed) is carefully decorated in a sober and elegant Provencal style. On the ground floor you find the kitchen with a dining area and a seating area invites you to rest. Upstairs you will find an open room overlooking the old church, a bathroom and separate toilet. It is very well equipped: microwave, oven, TV, DVD player, radio, hairdryer and of course the air conditioning and free WiFi. The linen (sheets, towels, tea towels) is included. A cot and other baby equipment are available free on request. Located close to the old church, the panorama of the valley Calavon and all amenities (shops, restaurants, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy ...), you can enjoy all the benefits of village life without to take the car. You will be able to survey the village, stroll through its narrow streets and discover its lovely shops and art galleries while strolling on foot from the house.
Located an hour from the airport of Marseille and Aix TGV stations in Provence and Avignon, is the ideal place for exploring the region.

Perfect pied de terre in Luberon

We (3 family members) can scarcely imagine enjoying any accommodations more than this lovely apartment, well situated in Bonnieux! Well equipped, spacious, close to good food and everything we needed. The patio is even more lovely than it seems in photos. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and easy to work with. We loved staying here!

Perfect property in a perfect Luberon village

This property is perfect in every way, and is in an ideal position in one of the Luberon's most beautiful hill top villages, Bonnieux. Restaurants, bars, boulangerie, shops etc are all a short ( but sometimes hilly!) walk away. There are also plenty of places to park in the village within easy walking distance of the property. The property itself is immaculate and well laid out, ideal for a short or long stay. The outdoor private terrace is also a great place to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. All in all, an excellent place to stay to enjoy Bonnieux and The Luberon.

Not my best VRBO experience

This was definitely not the greatest rental. The apartment itself is very nice. However, there are some things a renter should know about the location that aren’t exactly pointed out in the listing. The “parking lot” that was suggested has only 4 spots (plus one disabled spot) that is the lot for a scenic overlook so it was always full. Eventually I had to park in the disabled spot to unload my luggage. From this lot, the apartment is down a VERY, VERY large cobblestone hill, which makes luggage carrying difficult (I do business in the area and have to have large suitcases and it was nearly impossible…). If you have any mobility issues, I would highly recommend a different property. Then, of course, I moved my car to a legal spot… the nearest lot with actual spaces is .7 miles away. I know people may be thinking this is all normal in a perched village, but I have stayed in nearly every one of them (Menerbes, Goult, Lacoste, others in Bonnieux) and I’ve never had a worse parking situation. The owner is not helpful at all. You will not see him despite him living right there. The entrance is done by code into the courtyard and key to the room (which is up another two flights of very uneven stone steps). I emailed him several questions and he did respond fairly quickly but never with anything helpful. I talked to the couple renting the room below and they said they had the same experience. Not a bad place if you are mobile, travel lightly and have no questions.

Angenehme Wohnung in der Altstadt von Bonnieux

Wohnung für 2 MOBILE Personen sehr gut. Viele unebene Treppen um das Haus herum, auch um Terrasse zu erreichen. Ruhige Umgebung.Nachteil: man kann das Gepäck nicht vor der Wohnung ausladen, man muss steilen unebenen Berghang hinunter oder langen Weg über Strasse teilweise ohne Bürgersteig.Vorteil: Klimaanlage auf beiden Stockwerken. Kleiner Laden im Dorf zum einkaufen von Lebensmittel und Baguettes. Leider kein Bäcker mehr im Dorf.

A comfortable place in the heart of Bonnieux

My wife and I spent four weeks In Bonnieux, using it as a base to take day trips to other locations in the Provence. The apartment is conveniently located in the town, so it was easy to walk to shop, eat, or just sightsee. Parking was not a problem, as all the parking in Bonnieux is free (amazing!). The apartment was roomy, clean, and secure. Since we were there for four weeks, there was a weekly cleaning and change of linen, which we appreciated! The person who took care of this was always helpful if we had questions. All in all, we were happy and comfortable during our time in Bonnieux.

Beautiful casita in a charming village

The property really has everything you could need and is beautifully and tastefully decorated and appointed. It also had several guidebooks and information about the area which was very useful to us, because we came spontaneously without doing a lot of research beforehand. The internet connection was very fast which we greatly appreciated, because we work online. We would definitely stay here again.

A Happy Repeat Customer

I have stayed here previously and was extremely happy with the property. Mathieu and his family are very easy to deal with. The property is ideally located in the exquisite Bonnieux. You can walk from the gite to anything in town. A great location, a beautifully appointed property, and easy to deal with property owners. Highly recommend.

Beautifully restored Provence townhouse in absolutely charming village.

Our personable hosts Mathieu and his wife were very gracious and made sure our that our stay was comfortable. Mathieu had excellent recommendations for hiking and exploring around the area. One note is to get good details on parking as it is off site. We had communication problems working through VRBO's system and Mathieu was very patient and accomodating.

Perfect location in Bonnieux! Beautiful place to call home!

We stayed here May 5-12, 2018. We couldn't be happier with our choice. It was exactly as pictured with the lovely terrace and the view of the church from the windows. Comfortably furnished, well supplied kitchen with modern appliances, wonderful bed, and fabulous thick luxurious towels. Loved the heated towel rack. The wifi connection was the best we've had while traveling- so nice. Matthieu and his wife were most helpful and friendly. We will always treasure the memories we made here. If you're staying in Bonnieux, stay here!

Excellent location in Bonnieux

As a regular Bonnieux visitor from the USA I loved this property. I was traveling alone so only needed 1 bedroom. This property is ideally located in the heart of Bonnieux. Bonnieux is composed of three layers essentially to the town and this was on the 2nd layer. The apartment was well serviced with everything you could every want in the kitchen. There was a dining space and a large sofa to watch TV (satellite TV with many channels in every language possible). Then up the stairs there is an extremely well appointed master suite - with a separate toilet and separate bathroom with a shower. The bed was firm (the European way) and large (a 4 poster bed). There was light in the room with windows that opened to reveal the old church atop the village. The location was beautiful and quiet at night. The property also provides a beautiful outside terrace to eat a French meal. The property has wifi which was a great speed (often a limitation to renting in Frnace). Overall I could not recommend this place more. If a couple is travelling (or a single person like me), it is perfect. You will have everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The only down side - which is customary for all small villages in France - the lack of parking. The owner showed me a secret parking spot which was useful, but at times full. There is a lot of parking a short walk away on the terraces, but in summer that would be extremely difficult to obtain. There are lots of secret spots in the village to park with a little perseverance. This is a small limitation, one that can be overcome by a short walk to the property and parking atop the village. I recommend this rental with no hesitation.

Amazing apartment

We spent a week in Provence, dividing our time with four nights near Avignon, and 3 nights in Bonnieux. Despite being two hours later than expected for arrival, we received a warm welcome from the owners and a bottle of local wine to enjoy. The apartment is amazing with comfortable furnishings and great decor. The terrace is beautiful. Unfortunately, it was too cold or rainy for us to use. The apartment is easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. I wish we had planned a day to enjoy this amazing village.

In a general manner, we like both cultural activities such as visiting museums, art exibits... and outdoor activities.

When we bought the house few years ago, we decided to keep a part and to create a nice duplex apartment dedicated to travellers.
We have been lucky to travel quite a lot with my wife Amandine. We have also been living for a few years in Asia. While travelling, we have always been using bed and breakfast accomodations instead of hotels. For us, it's the best way to travel and to discover an area and its population. Having this apartment is now an amazing way to meet new peoples and share with them about our beautiful area.

The village of Bonnieux is at the same time gorgeous and full of life. Unlike some other villages, we are very lucky to have a real local population, peoples living in Bonnieux all year long. Bonnieux is located right in the middle of the Luberon. It's just the perfect location to discover all the area.
Our house is located in the heart of the village in a beautiful and quiet walking street.
From the house, you can walk to all amenities (shops, restaurants, bakery, convenient store, pharmacy...) within 5 mns. It's the perfect place for those who want to enjoy the local life without driving each time they go out.
The apartment is totally independent from the main house. It has its own entry door, a fully equipped kitchen, its own batthroom and a nice sunny and flowered terrace. It's the perfect place for a couple or a family looking for a beautiful and quiet place located in the heart of a gorgeous provencal village.
We live next door and we are always available to help and provide tips and advices to our guests.
