Villa Marcyr, a small paradise situated in the beautiful village of Kamilari. Well located; because there are many beaches close ... Komos and Matala 3 km to 6 km. Matala, friendly village, frequented at the time by hippies and we always feel this "flower power" influence. Nearby, there are archaeological cites of Phaistos and many others. The olive tree of over 2000 years is 10 minutes walk from the villa. Minouines of graves to visit any meadows. And all those beauties are surrounded by beautiful oliverais!There are plenty of excursions to do if you want a little further; for example, the San maria Gorges, the great plain of Lasithi with its windmills ... all to find in the guidebooks. The villa is a separate house with private pool. Perfect to accommodate 4 people.
2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with 2 separate beds, Italian shower, wc apart, fully equipped kitchen, linens and towels provided, fireplace, air conditioning throughout, free wifi, satellite dish TV, downstairs terrace and above, 2 with sea and mountains. Loungers provided and also a simple barbecue. All surrounded with amphoras and flower vases. Very quiet place, perfect to relax and have fun!Many bars and resto's nearby, to walk. Many excursions and hiking to do nearby!We came the 1st time in 2010, fell in love with this wonderful place that we decided to build for our old age, but before that the place is ready for you, you too can enjoy this magical place !!!

Wonderful house and outstanding property manager

We had a wonderful experience in the house. It was very clean and comfortable. It was the best equipped vacation we ever stayed in. The property manager was an amazing host. We highly recommend this property!

Lovely villa

Lovely villa with a great pool and stunning views. Very handy for southern Minoan sites and drives into the mountains. Plenty of tavernas in Kalamari with good food and very reasonable prices.

Perfect place in Kamilari

Thank you, Marleen, for hosting us. We loved your place as it has everything you need and more… it’s very cosy and we felt very much at home there. The pool is great and we loved the walking distance to the friendly town of Kamilari. Great tavernas there, too!! We will certainly recommend Villa Marcyn!

Great place to stay

The villa is really nice and looks like on the pictures. The hist ist really friendly and the communication was easy. On our last day, the water pipeline of the village and the 4 villages around was broken. When we called the host, he explained everything to us, and informed us when the pipeline was fixed. The village and everything around house is really quiet. It is a nice place to relax.

Perfect Crete holiday house

This home checks all the boxes: Kamilari is a very nice village with places to eat and buy groceries, mountain and sea views, near beaches and well situated for exploring more of Crete. The house itself is super comfortable with a full kitchen with al the gear and well stocked with all the little things you might need for beach, fireplace, etc. In May the water is not quite warm enough for adults (kids loved both swimming pool and ocean), but the island is delightfully empty of tourists and the wildflowers are blooming. We counted 3 species of orchids growing around the house. The owners provided quick help with any issues that arose. Hard to remember a better vacation rental experience. Two thumbs up and eager to return.

Great spot

A wonderful week had by us all. The location just outside Kamilari ( a beautiful, tranquil traditional village ) was quiet and peaceful. The views of the sea and the mountains were amazing as were the stunning sunsets we had. The villa was just what a family of 4 ( 2 young children )needed and was very well equipped. Yvonne who meets and greets you is helpful and always at hand. Thank you for the welcome bowl of fruit too! Location was perfect as we visited local beaches - we preferred Komos but each time, we returned to the pool at the villa - most welcome after a day by the beach. Villa was as described and we would also say that the pictures don’t do the pool justice as we felt it was bigger than the photos showed. Nonetheless, we would definitely recommend the villa and the location.

Das Haus ist genau wie beschrieben und liegt sehr schön ruhig am Ende einer Schotterstraße.Perfekt für uns.Im Haus war alles vorhanden,was man brauchte und von der Dachterrassen hatte man einen herrlichen Rundumblick .Wir würden das Haus wieder buchen

Tolles Haus mit allem ausgestattet (und auch mehr), was man im Urlaub braucht.Die Lage ist sehr gut und ruhig (ausgenommen die Zikadenlautstärke - wir waren im August dort).Auch das Örtchen Kamilari ist sehr hübsch mit einem Supermarkt und netten Tavernen.Marcin ist als Ansprechpartner stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit.Der Pool hatte für uns eine ideale Größe und Dank der kleinen Bäume neben dem Pool, hatten wir genügend Schattenplätze

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in der Villa. Das Haus ist nicht besonders groß aber die Fläche ist optimal genutzt. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Alles ist sehr neu und sauber. Der Pool und der Garten sind super und die Dachterrasse ein echtes Highlight. Das Dorf ist hübsch und bietet einige nette Tavernen. Die Fahrt zum Strand ist nicht weit.

Beautiful house with a lovely, lush graden with pool

This is a lovely house, very tastefully decorated. the location is perfect, from the garden you have a beautiful view, but from the roof terrace it is absolutely perfect. The garden is somewhat sheltered, so that gives a good, more intimate atmosphere, the view from the roof terrace is sublime. But the garden is really great for relaxing. The house is on the outskirts of the village, 12 minutes to the center where the restaurants and supermarket are. Alllen you have to make a big climb on the way to the village, but that is good for fitness. The village, Kamilari, is a very charming village. Some minor drawbacks are, the road to the house is very steep, and it is a bumpy ride, and it is further away from the center of the village than we expected. But all in all a lovely house, we had a wonderful time. Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist perfekt, vom Garten aus hat man einen schönen Blick, aber von der Dachterrasse ist es absolut perfekt. Der Garten ist etwas geschützt, so dass eine gute, etwas mehr intime Atmosphäre, die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist erhaben. Aber der Garten ist wirklich toll zum Entspannen. Das Haus liegt am Rande des Dorfes, 12 Minuten zum Zentrum, wo die Restaurants und der Supermarkt sind. Auf dem Weg ins Dorf muss man zwar ein wenig klettern, aber das ist gut für die Fitness. Das Dorf, Kamilari, ist ein sehr charmantes Dorf. Einige kleinere Nachteile sind, dass die Straße zum Haus sehr steil ist.

Sehr ruhig und entspannend

Es war ein herrlicher Urlaub, etwas abgeschieden von Städten und wunderbar zum Relaxen. Für uns war das Haus super ausgestattet und alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Checkin wie auch Checkout waren absolut einfach und problemlos. Wasser, Wein und Obst wurden vom Vermieter gestellt zur Begrüßung. Vielen Dank dafür. Mit dem Leihwagen konnten wir überall hin, wonach uns war. Lokalitäten mit einheimischenm Essen sind im Umfeld und auch gut zu Fuß ereichbar. Dies war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt dort.

Schöne Ferien

Wir haben 2 schöne Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Wir wurden vom Verwalter freundlich in Empfang genommen und mit einem großen Korb frischer Früchte und einer Flasche Wein begrüßt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Man hat das Gefühl, dass man hier echtes Interesse hat, einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu haben. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist groß, daß wir wieder in dieses nette Haus kommen. Vielen Dank an Marleen und den Verwalter.

Agréable séjour Villa Marcyr

Nous avons passé d'agréables et paisibles vacances dans cette villa très propre et très bien équipée. Elle est située dans un endroit très calme. Mes ados ont bien profité de la piscine. Nous remercions Marceen pour son accueil et son sourire. Tout était vraiment parfait pour notre premier séjour en crête .

Séjour relaxant

Très bonne communication avec Marleen avant notre arrivée, attentions spéciales ( fruits, vin...) La villa est très bien conçue, au calme et proche des plages. Les amoureux de cuisine trouveront l équipement parfait pour leur séjour. Le sud de la Crête reste authentique et paisible. Eeeequument

Für Ruhesuchende

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem exquisit ausgestatteten Haus mit tollem Pool und herrlicher Aussicht. Der Weg zum Haus ist etwas holprig, dementsprechend hat man aber auch Ruhe satt. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele leckere Tavernen, und man kann super die Gegend mit dem Auto erkunden. Wir haben uns extrem wohlgefühlt, danke!
