Nestled on the northern border of Sugar Pine Point State Park, Oā€™Brienā€™s Den is ideal for a small family or group looking for a quiet getaway. Maximum occupancy is 4. Completely updated in 2018, this adorable cabin has everything youā€™ll need to enjoy your Tahoe time: Comfy living room with gas fireplace and flat screen TV with cable or streaming on Hulu and Netflix, fully-equipped kitchen with dining table for 5, two Queen bedrooms, one with laundry facilities, and bathroom with shower and heated floor. Step out the back door to savor the majestic forest view.

Sugar Pine Point State Park is directly behind the cabin and Homewood Mountain Resort ā€“ offering incredible lake views skiing and snowboarding -- is just 3 miles to the north. Meeks Bay, DL Bliss State Park, Emerald Bay and Desolation Wilderness are also easily accessed from Oā€™Brienā€™s Den.

At 712 square feet, it's cozy but power-packed with all the necessities and located to take advantage of all that the West Shore offers. And, as the locals like to say, ā€œWest Shore is the Best Shore!ā€

Itā€™s within walking distance of the Tahoma Market and a coffee/gelato place that we like to visit. It is protected by bear fencing as are most of the homes in the neighborhood. It was easy enough to use but care would need to be taken with small kids. The kitchen was very well stocked. It has a single cup coffee maker but no coffee pot. The beds were extremely comfortable, the home was sparkling clean. This lovely home was a great size for the two of us but I think any more than two would be tight.

There were all the amenities needed in the kitchen, and it was fairly clean. It was disappointing to find that the bed sheets, pillow cases and comforter were in such bad shape, they looked so overused that at first we thought they hadn't been washed at all. Additionally, the towels were not very clean and smelled bad.

Last Hurrah

We decided to take a last minute trip to Tahoe before our kids head back to school. We were fortunate to find O'Brien's Den. It was well appointed, great location in Tahoma (on the west side of Lake Tahoe), great proximity to hiking, Emerald Bay, Tahoe City, and the North and South shores of Lake Tahoe.

Cozy stay

The place was accurate and easy to access. The bathroom is really nice with heated floors and a rain shower. I feel like there are small things that could bring this stay to 5 stars, like higher quality sheets. Also, not sure if this was just during our stay, but there were chainsaws going right across the street during almost the entire day time while we were there.

Great little cabin!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at O'Brien's Den! It's located in a very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was very comfy, and love the heated floor in the bathroom. It just a short hike to the Lake, and a nice beach that is not crowded at all. We needed to extend the stay one more day because of snow, and the host was very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Lovely Cabin

Oā€™Brienā€™s Den is an awesome cabin tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Tahoma, Lake Tahoe. It was perfect for my Husband and I and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The unit was very clean, organized and felt homey right from the start. The bedrooms are small, however, the linens, blankets, towels pillows are all very cozy. The kitchen is all set up with pretty much everything you need to prepare meals, and we did. It is a very quiet neighborhood which made for some very relaxing wine drinking in the comfy chairs provided out front. You could hear the swaying of the pine trees which was quite lovely. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for a super relaxing weekend Oā€™Brienā€™s Den!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at O'Brien's Den. The cabin is very modern and in a nice quiet location near Sugar Pine. It also has a nice backyard area that isn't displayed in any of the pictures. My only complaint is that the rooms are quite small, not much storage space for luggage or clothes or room for walking. We are a family of three so it worked out fine for us, for any family much bigger you might find the rooms too small.

NICE LITTE HOME

We had a nice stay. The house was just big enough for us and had everything we needed. The area was beautiful and the neighbors were very nice. We had a few hiccups, 1) the property was supposed to have a bunk bed, but when we arrived it was not there, 2) The bathroom sink wouldn't drain without holding up the drain. 3) So hot without ac (we new before hand it would have ac) they provided fans and it made it bearable but was super hot. These are little issues and I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Cozy cabin

Very clean cozy cabin. Very well planned out space wise! Nice outdoor patio with gas bbq all supplies you need to cook!! Close to sugar pine beach short drive. Bathroom pretty spacious and very stocked! Would stay here again !

Cozy modern cabin

O'Brien Den was the perfect place for our family.clean, cozy with all the amenities we needed. It was a short walk to the beach and provided a quiet restful place for us to relax. Highly recommend.
