Discover this unique and peaceful place where you can enjoy a beautiful and quiet setting with a large swimming pool, a pond for fishing and a small lake with pedal boats and paddles.

Ideally close to the Pays du Pastel, to Gaillac (and its vineyards), Albi (and its museums) and 40 minutes from Toulouse, many activities will be possible to discover this beautiful region of Occitania.


The house (250 m²) has an independent entrance and the cottage is made up of 2 levels :

On the ground floor, the entrance consists of a reception hall with an office area and a separate toilet. It leads to the Chambre du Lac suite (PRM access), 160cm bedding and flat-screen, its bathroom and separate toilet. In front, the TV lounge and its chimney, the dining room, the fully equipped kitchen, the pantry and the laundry room.

On the 1st floor, a room de la Source suite with 1 bed in 160cm and 1 bed in 90cm and flat-screen, bathroom and shower and separate toilet. A family suite Chambre d'Autan with 1 bed in 140cm and flat-screen, bathroom and separate toilet and in the Pine room, 2 beds of 90cm. Finally, a bedroom in the Alcove, with 160cm bedding and flat-screen, and a bathroom and separate toilet.

The house dominates 2 hectares of wooded and flowered park without any vis-à-vis, a pond full of beautiful lotuses whose blooming in season is a feast for the eyes, another pond dedicated to fishing for the happiness of young and old, a lake with a boat, pedal boat and paddles.

You will also find a large heated outdoor swimming pool of 12 x 6 m² with its pool house, its fully equipped summer kitchen and its barbecue. 4 bicycles are available for rides in the surrounding area.

In the solarium, you can use sun loungers and parasols.

You can find also a solar shower at the foot of the pool.

An electric charging station is available to charge your vehicles.

The gîte must be left clean. A deposit of €1500 will be requested on arrival and returned at the end after the check-out.

Multi generation family holiday

Absolutely beautiful house and grounds, with everything supplied that you need. Peaceful countryside, pool, pond, lake, summer kitchen. Enough space for a large group to spend time alone as well as together. Perfect

Séjour de fin d’année idéal

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cette magnifique demeure rénovée et décorée avec goût et un grand soin du détail.On s’y sentait parfaitement bien, au coin du feu dans le salon ou dans la salle à manger.Et la literie est tellement confortable ! Nous avons pu bien nous reposer pour démarrer la nouvelle année du bon pied.Il n’a malheureusement pas fait très beau en cette fin décembre mais heureusement la maison est grande et confortable.Arlette et Guy sont aux petits soins, tout en restant discrets, c'est un réel plaisir de les avoir rencontrés.

Incredible property for a large family group

We had an incredible two weeks at the property as a big family group. The property is better than the listing suggests. The grounds are huge and beautifully maintained by the owners. We spent most of our time in the pool and outside kitchen, both of which were excellent. The location is also great with the local village having a shop, bar and lovely little bistro with a great set menu. The owners were very welcoming and bought us produce from their garden. As we can’t speak much French and they don’t speak English- communication was not very easy, but we muddled through! We highly recommend this property and hope to return! Thank you Arlette and Guy.

Un petit coin de paradis

Super vacances en famille . Maison très spacieuse et bien agencée pour des vacances familiales ,belle décoration . Cuisine très bien équipée et fonctionnelle donnant à l'extérieur sur une terrasse ou nous avons pris tous nos repas dans un cadre magnifique . Extérieur :un petit coin de paradis avec le lac (son pédalo ,sa barque ), l'étang avec ces lotus , Son terrain de boules ,la table de ping pong et les promenades autour du lac. L' âne ,les moutons ,les poules, les canards (le bonheur des enfants pour des citadins ) La grande piscine avec son coin cuisine ,son salon d'été , Jardin magnifique très bien entretenu avec ses fleurs ,ses palmiers etc tout cela entretenu avec grand soin par Arlette et Guy les propriétaires très sympathiques qui nous ont donné de bons conseils pour les lieux à visiter dans la région. Vélos à notre disposition . Gite à conseillé +++ Nous reviendrons dans ce lieu magique avec grand plaisir ou les enfants et nous même ou nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable .

An amazing stay !

Le Pré du Roy is amazing! The view across the fields , the pool and summer house , as well as the house itself ..everything was superb. Arlette and Guy are charming and thoughtful hosts-everything we needed was provided , as well as suggestions about the local area and the most delicious tomatoes we have ever tasted! The Pré du Roy is only a 40 minute drive from Toulouse, yet its position is in the most delightful countryside with lots of interesting places to visit and places to walk. Even in late September the weather was sunny and dry , enabling us to use the pool most days. The summer kitchen is a real asset , with its covered eating area , a fridge and dishwasher so there is every thing you need right by the pool. The house is very comfortable and well furnished ....with a covered terrace overlooking the fields. We would love to return and I think our grown-up children who flew out for a few days , would love to go back too. A really super place for extended families to holiday together. Thank you ,Arlette and Guy.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la superbe et spacieuse propriété d'Arlette et Guy. Ceux-ci nous ont chaleureusement accueillis et se sont montrés fort disponibles tout en restant discrets. Les espaces extérieurs sont magnifiques et les équipements de la maison sont tout simplement parfaits.

A fabulous holiday in the super gite

We had a great holiday at Pre du Roy. Guy and Arlette could not have been more welcoming, and the property far exceeded any impressions we had got when booking. We were 6 adults and 5 children (aged from 12 to 6) and the accommodation worked perfectly. The attention to detail was excellent. The children loved the pool, and the pool house was perfect for eating al fresco. Gifts of fruit, vegetables and eggs from the garden were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The lake was also very popular, where we could use our canoes, but the property's pedalo was great fun too. The scenery is lovely, and we enjoyed days out in Albi, Castres, Castelnau-de-Montmiral and Puycelsi. The artisan baker just down the road is great, and Lavaur,10 minutes, has good supermarkets. We loved this gite, thank you Guy and Arlette, and we hope to return soon.

fantastisch mooi, ruim en overzichterlijk huis

Wij verbleven 3 weken in het huis. Het is er ruim, overzichtelijk (wanneer je met kleine kinderen bent) en schoon. In de omgeving is niet heel veel te doen (maar met 35 graden wil je ook niets anders doen dan in het zwembad liggen): Je kan treintje rijden van Saint-Lieux-lès-Lavaur op een traject van 20 minuten naar Jardins des Martels (Botanische tuin), Heerlijk restaurant met panorama in Giroussens (Ned. sprekende ober) of de markt bezoeken op zaterdag in Lavaur. We bivakkeerden overigens grotendeels bij het zwembad waar ook klein keukentje was met koelkast, wc en bbq. De eigenaren Guy en Arlette wonen dus naast het verhuurbare huis. Wij hebben geen last van ze gehad; eigenaar Guy loopt de hele dag het complex te verzorgen, maaien, besproeien, en bracht ons dikwijls verse groeten en fruit uit eigen tuin. Enige nadeel was dat Guy alleen Frans sprak en wij beperkt Frans, dus met gebaren kwamen we er dikwijls uit. Het huis is beslist een van de mooiste in de nabije omgeving, waar je prima kan hardlopen en mountainbiken. Het zwembad is af te dekken en dus ideaal voor kleine kinderen

La maison du bonheur !

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable en famille chez Arlette et Guy qui nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement. La maison est fidèle aux photos, superbe et joliment décorée, dans un confort absolu (tout l'équipement nécessaire, chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain...). Et l'emplacement est idéal, entre Toulouse et Albi avec des commerces à proximité. Bref, un vrai bonheur !!!

La maison du bonheur

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour en famille dans la maison d'Arlette et Guy qui nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement. La maison est fidèle aux photos, très belle et joliment décorée, avec un confort absolu (chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain). La maison est également très bien située entre Toulouse et Albi et tous les commerces à proximité. Bref, un vrai bonheur !

Remarquable en tous points

Nous étions les premiers locataires. Malgré le stress compréhensible des propriétaires, notre séjour s'est déroulé dans un grand confort et dans un calme campagnard. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et la gentillesse des propriétaires. Le gîte, la piscine, la cuisine d'été (nous y avons pris tous nos repas) et le lac, tout a contribué à un agréable séjour. Les promenades, les viticulteurs, les restaurants et les lieux touristiques (les jardins des Martelé et le petit train du Tarn) ont parfaitement agrémenté nos vacances. Le gîte est tout à fait conforme à la description du site. Un bravo à Arlette et à Guy, ne changez rien et continuez dans la même sérénité. Nous reviendrons c’est certain.
