Charming single family house conveniently located just couple blocks from Overland Park Downtown. Nicely decorated house offers specious and comfortable accommodations for small or large groups, wedding guests, family reunions or couples spending weekend away from home. New furniture, freshly laundered bedding and towels, it has everything you need for your stay. Close to Highway 69 and I-35, 20 mins from KC downtown, P&L, etc. The main level features a kitchen with nice sitting are, formal dining area, open living room with access to outdoor deck and two sofa-beds, 3 bedrooms and 1 full and 1 half bathrooms. The lower level offers a huge bedroom with king size bed and a futon and another living room with sofa-beds.
The house located right at the corner of Metcalf and 71st with easy access to both: Metcalf south and north.

Plenty of room for everyone and the house had everything like it said and convenient because a church was across the street and attended mass that morning and the host was quick to answer any questions

Great Space for a Family Stay

We loved everything about the property. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. But also, plenty of room to gather with our whole group. We had everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend Boris and his property.

Family Visit

Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, big living room, good size dining table for a sit down meal together. Basement a little cold at night. Could have had more towels/bedding items available. Kitchen well stocked with the basics, pots and pans. Overall a great place to stay with a group or Family.

It wasnā€™t great to begin with, and then the furnace stopped workingā€¦The home is not a good repair. The front steps are cracked and broken, and the inside shows a similar level of neglect. Dining room chairs have missing parts of the back, the table is stained with water marks, lamp covers are beat up, vinyl floors are separating, outlets are missing cover plates, and vents in bathrooms are not properly attached.In the kitchen, there was a variety of pots and pans, but all seemed pretty worn out. There were plenty of knives, but only 4 forks.Additionally, I am pretty sure that the basement bedroom does not meet fire code, as it does not have an egress window.When the furnace went out on the evening of our second night, I called the host, and he offered to move us to one of several other properties. While some of the homes didnā€™t have the location or number of bedrooms needed for our group, based on the way the current property was kept, our group wasnā€™t eager to go to another property and found a hotel instead. Host was willing to refund the non-tax/service fee part of the last two nights, but not any of the cleaning fee.
Overnight temps were forecasted in the low 30's. It was 56 by the time we left around 9pm.

It was ok

Depends on what you are looking for, and how picky you are. The location is perfect. Close to a lot of things. Stadiums for baseball and football are an easy 20 min drive. Yard is a good size. Beds are comfortable. House is not perfect with some needs for updates and yard cleaning. Over all we all fit nicely and there was plenty of room to stretch out.

Not Bad just needs some TLC

The property has great potential! It just wasn't what we expected. It needs improvement from the bathrooms, to the tissue holders in the restroom being broke. The dining room table had white spots all over it. The furniture needs to be updated. Not terrible but needs UPGRADED!!!!

Itā€™s on a busy street with a median blocking the driveway coming one way. It was dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. The water pressure was trickling. The oven didnā€™t work and we wasted all our groceries since we couldnā€™t cook them. We were offered $50 to not put this review up. Good luck if you stay.

Aunt/cousin get together

Location was great for the activities we had planned. 4 elderly aunts in our group so bedroom and bathroom layout was perfect. The house desperately needs some TLC. Doorknob falling off, toilet roll holder falling off. Walls need painting. With a listing for a large group there should be 3 x as many spoons and forks as there were. Dishwasher pods and laundry detergent were very limited yet we were asked to start the dishwasher and washer (towels) before leaving. Beer and soda cans were on the ground by the balcony steps, grill was not usable and the front window needed cleaning. Two cookie sheets were covered with rust. If I had a large, older group I would consider staying here again, otherwise probably not.

Weekend Visit With Friends for Chiefs Game

Overall, the stay we had wasnā€™t bad as it was a good neighborhood. I was surprised based on the reviews left before us, where it had 4 1/2 stars. I can say the pictures were deceptive as the yard is small. The grill was broken and pretty much unusable. We had holes in the walls and a beer bottle under the couch downstairs. Their was a massive amount of hair stuck in one of the showers.. the lights went out on us in a bathroom the last day as well. The sheets had stains on them in two of the rooms. I was upset that Boris didnā€™t have any contact with us after we had messaged him with a picture of how much hair I took out of the drain. Overall, I probably wouldnā€™t stay again unfortunately.

You get what you pay for

This was an inexpensive rental but we got what we paid for. It was clean in the sense that it was sanitized, but some of the dishes had not been cleaned recently and were stuck to the cabinet liner. There are weird marks on the wall in the bathroom. There isn't a bathroom in the basement and the basement room needs child safety on the outlets that stick out of the wall. This house is on a busy intersection, right at a stoplight. There is a nice yard but due to weather we couldn't enjoy it. It is not fully fenced in, which isn't child friendly. My biggest headache was the communication of the manager. I asked him to respond to me on my cellphone and once had something that needed immediate attention and said "Please call me now" and gave him my number and hours later still have no response. All that being said if you are looking for a good deal it is better than a sketchy motel and I would stay again as long as we could ask for a few things to be remedied. P.s.. there is no ice machine or ice trays.

Perfect for a small slumber party of preteen/teen girls

The house was as expected for the most part. I was surprised that there was no DVD player, but was not a huge impact to the stay. There were some kitchen utensils which had been stored unclean, but I typically would wash those before using anyway. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable. The girls enjoyed the lower level, with their own room/space and the ping pong table.
