This home is the ideal beach house for family fun or vacationing with friends. Wide porches run the length of the house on both sides, so you can enjoy both the morning sunrise and the awesome evening sunset!

Cooking will be a breeze in this dream kitchen with new stainless appliances and plenty of cabinets. There is seating for six at the table and room for four at the breakfast bar. Fire up the gas grill and enjoy a delicious family cook-out.

You'll love walking the sugar white sands, finding seashells and building sand castles with the kids. Watch the passing shrimp boats and the dolphins playing in the surf right from your porch. Other activities include kayaking, bike riding, fishing, and crabbing.

Great Vacation

We had a wonderful time in Dauphin Island and enjoyed this house rental on the beach. It needs a little updating and better bug prevention (we saw a few roaches each night) but otherwise it was a great rental! Thanks!

Pros:- Great location (beach, neighborhood)- House in overall good condition and clean when arrived- Loves the back porch- Liked the symmetry of the bedrooms- TY and wifi all good- HVAC and hot water worked wellCons:- Saw several LARGE roaches inside the house- Beach chairs not provided- Showers/tubs could use some updating- Not enough cleaning supplies or toilet paper provided. No coffee filters- Could use a hose at the bottom of the stairs to rinse feet

This perspective of the Gulf is delightful! The house is almost in the water. So fun, beautiful and relaxing. I would stay here again.

Beach Life

Nice place. Nice location. Parking can be a challenge especially when neighbors disregard parking etiquette. Overall we enjoyed and are likely to return.

Great place and location

Awesome time

House was great there were just two issues the Dryer didn’t work and one of the lights in the bedroom did not work other than that it was great.

Perfection

We loved staying here! The house is set up perfectly. The front porch is the best to watch the sunrise and sunsets. The back porch is an awesome place to sit as well. We loved that you’re literally on the beach and don’t have to carry your beach stuff up and down. The parking is a little narrow and about 10 yards from the house so prepare to carry your luggage because you can’t roll it in the sand. We will definitely be coming back! You can’t beat the house and how close it is to the water!

Outdated, mold, rust, and cockroaches

The pics for the house are extremely outdated. The only reason we stayed was the location. If I would have had another encounter of being chased in the bathroom by a cockroach, we would have left. Almost every metal fixture had rust, especially the bathroom faucet and toilet paper holders which were covered in it. The bathrooms are in rough shape to say the least. There was mold growing up the shower curtain.The patio furniture is broken and moldy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great Location, house needs a little maintenance

Dauphine Island is a gem. Lots of things to do, water and beach are wonderful, good fishing, and easy to head out for day trips. Our house was right on the water and had all the basics anyone could need. It does need a little maintenance on several items and maybe some pest control.

Great house and location

House was very nice, well decorated and stocked, though no pantry room for groceries and the gas grill didn't work well enough to really grill a whole meal. Our weather was terrible during our stay, so it wasn't the best get away, but had it been nicer, the beach was right underneath us, water was calm, house had good sand toys and weather permitting it would have been a perfect family get away, thanks

Crashing Waves

It was pretty cool being right next to the water. The crashing waves never stop. House could use a few fix ups and a deep cleaning. New mattresses are needed. Everyone should stay on the island once!

Nice stay

Overall the stay was nice. The house was mostly clean. The location was fantastic. The bed mattresses could be better. Our stay at a courtyard by Marriott had better mattresses. One of the shower drains was slow. We encountered 3 roaches during our stay. The Dish receivers did not work. Couldn’t get a signal from the satellite. The refrigerator freezer door seemed out of alignment. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others if some of the details of the house would be addressed.

Relaxing

Everything was very nice except for the parking. Parking for this house was approximately 30 yards from the house which meant we had to lug all our luggage and supplies through thick sand (no sidewalk) to get to steep steps up to house. This was a huge struggle and extremely disappointing especially with the house itself being very nice, otherwise. All the other houses around this one had parking underneath or right up next to them. This aline would prevent me from renting this property again.

Honest review of 103 Tonty Ct

This review is in no way meant to be vindictive, but I feel an honest review is needed to have something done to this place for future renters. This place is literally, not figuratively, infested with roaches. I called management immediately upon noticing this problem and they did promptly send out an exterminator, but unfortunately this greatly exacerbated the situation with roaches coming out everywhere, even in the freezer! The place was filthy, cabinets and dishes dirty. We even found food particles in the couches upon arrival. We paid for a 3 night stay, but obviously we had to abandon the trip and leave early. Roaches literally flew onto my family as we were trying to pack up and leave. Management has promised to refund some of my money but has done nothing yet.

black mold, broken deck spindles, exposed rusty screws - definitely not family friendly

Pros - great location, beach decor (a lot of decorations), quiet area of the beach Cons- black mold throughout the furnace closet, silverfish in the bathrooms, no plug for the bathtub, missing & broken spindles in the deck and stairway, some broken pieces in home (decor & furniture), some stains on bedding and furniture, deck furniture broken, dents and marks on flooring, slow response time by vacasa We stayed at this property with 2 small children and chose this property because it was "family friendly". The deck facing the ocean had numerous broken and missing spindles, making gaps large enough that either of my children could have fallen through. There was a baby gate zip tied to the gate at the top of the deck stairs. It fell off, nearly on top of my 1 year old. There were a lot of rusty screws sticking out from the wood on the deck. The deck was completely unsafe for children. The doors and locks leading out to the decks were easy to open - so easy that my 3 year old was able to do so. There was a security system in the property that was not functioning according to vacasa. The windows let in lovely breezes, but a large piece of plastic fell out of one when I opened it. One of the blinds fell off of a window at 1am, waking all of us up. My toddler broke out in a rash soon after we arrived. I thought it might be the bedding (low quality sheets and unsure of the detergent since none was left in the home). Soon after, I found the closet housing the furnace, which was covered in black mold. Numerous calls were made to vacasa to remedy this, with little response. We were constantly told that a ticket was entered. A staff member from housekeeping was sent over less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to leave. She was helpful and was able to provide additional toiletries but was not able to do anything about the mold or the deck. On the first full day and second night we lost power due to a storm. Things were fine during the day, as there was a lot of natural light. As night approached, we looked for flashlights and candles. The flashlights did not work, there were no batteries and there was one candle. When we arrived (6 people, 5 days), there were 2 small bars of soap, 2 hotel sized shampoos & conditioners, 1 hand soap for 2 bathrooms, 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels and no laundry detergent. Propane ran out and wasn't replaced for nearly 24 hours and several calls to vacasa.

Great House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had two families with children ranging in age from 4-17. The house had everything we needed for our week. Honestly, you can’t beat the walk down your stairs to the beach.
