Take a step back to a life less hurried. Travel to the backwoods on uneven gravel & dirt to arrive at this tiny home. 400 sq ft cabin overlooks 2 trout creeks plus a mountain ridge view! No WiFi-enjoy reconnecting with each other! 2 mi from paved road w/shallow potholes & rocks. 5" clearance (not 4WD) needed. NOT suitable for motorcycles. Venomous snakes and wild animals are indigenous to our area. Use ONLY our directions and you'll enjoy the adventure getting here!

Walk your own private trail that leads to the creek-side deck. The Nantahala National Forest is our backyard and playground. Bring your outdoor gear for adventure right outside your door. Come "tame the dragon", ride the "Cherohala Skyway" or "hug" a tree at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.

"It was hard to leave" is the best compliment we get! Come, be our guest!

Great stay! Great place! For future guests, the drive is down a very narrow, remote gravel road, FYI. the kitchen had everything we needed….even a meat thermometer for the grill!! The bed was so comfortable and it was fun reading all of the signatures on the porch from past guests.

Absolute beautiful location and experience. Made Kaylee and my honeymoon experience rememberable. The Junction is truly a small piece of heaven that I would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be booking another stay there in the future.

My husband & I stayed at The Junction for 3 nights, and we both enjoyed the cabin and the rushing stream to the fullest. This place itself is such a paradise for me, a photography enthusiast. Also the cabin is in a perfect location to access Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and Lake Santeetlah! The cabin owners are super hosts! They are so kind and hospitable. We will certainly come back and we’ll stay longer next time.

We didn't lack for anything while we were there.. We wanted a remote place, to hang out and relax, and that's what we go! Alice was very helpful with suggestions and things to do, and we couldn't have asked for a better hostess!

Cabin has everything you could possibly need. Be advised the last mile in is a tad rough but what we were looking for. Would recommend you have a capable vehicle, you don’t need 4 wheel drive but don’t show up with a Toyota Camry. Come prepared, this is off the grid. Bring food, and ice in case the unexpected like power outage happens. We unfortunately had a bad storm and lost power for two days. Totally unexpected and not any fault of the owners. These things happen when you’re out there so just be ready for anything. We met and spoke with the owners, great people. It’s a one of a kind spot and highly recommend staying here, you won’t forget it. Wish I was still there walking up the steam.

Very cute cabin with beautiful scenery all around. It was extremely clean and a great place to walk and enjoy the outdoors. The town of Robbinsville had several great local spots to check out. Communication from the host was excellent and made everything easy. We would definitely stay again.

Their are not enough words to describe the feelings this paradise invokes within. Alice and Doug has really created an atmosphere of relaxation, tranquility, serenity, and peace. The cabin had everything we needed. We was sad to leave it. We know we will return. We caught some rainbow trout in the creek. That was some good eating on our last night here. Thank you again Alice and Doug for everything.

My wife and I stayed at the Junction for three days, next time we will stay longer. We really enjoyed this cabin and the beautiful location. It is exactly what we were looking for and more. The sound of the river was so relaxing and the little cabin was more than enough for my wife and I. We will be coming back very soon.

The host (Doug & Alice) was exceptional. The home was very tranquil and majestic. They provided everything that we needed and even gave us perfect directions to get there to prevent us getting lost. The host was very thorough with everything. It was the perfect get away and we will be back

We're Doug and Alice, originally from Illinois. We missed our creek property and slower lifestyle so we moved into our tiny vacation home upstream from The Junction.

We enjoyed sharing our little "glamping" cabin, "The Owl's Perch" (#1891123), so we purchased "The Junction". We remodeled it, cleared the view and gave it a name. We’d love to share either with you!
