This Classic Hawaiian condominium Complex has style and charm. Newly renovated in summer of 2023. Located on the Oceanside, it offers beautiful views, barbecue area, a lovely sandy beach with lounge chairs. At night they light Tiki Torches and blow a conch shell as the sun goes down. The condo is light and airy, newly redone, brand new king bed and sheets, a nicely stocked kitchen for cooking. The furniture is comfortable and there are 2 flatscreen TVs. The unit is air-conditioned and the area is so quiet you hear the waves cracking up against the rocks. Located just 1 mile from downtown Kona, with easy safe parking. It is a gated complex, with a cute outdoor Market across the street.

Host was excellent in communication with us. Condo was lovely. Great bed and linens. Amenities at the complex were great. Saltwater pool and Bbq. Sunsets were beautiful. We were in a good location for everything we did. People there were friendly and helpful.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay. It was so comfy & cozy, & everything we could have possibly needed was there for us. It was so clean. We got great parking & definetly enjoyed our stay there. Keli was great 10/10 would stay again!

Lovely quiet well-appointed condo

This is a well-furnished and beautifully decorated condo in a quiet gated community. We very much enjoyed our stay. Just be aware that if you prefer a firm mattress, this unit has a soft topper.

A real community

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was as advertised. Full kitchen, large balcony with an ocean view and a wonderful community that gathers each evening to cheer the sunset.

It’s an older property but the unit has been remodeled and is quite comfortable. We really enjoyed the sandy area at the water’s edge. Spending the afternoon under the palm trees, watching for whale spouts was delightful!

Casa de Emdeko is by far the best condo in Kona

The unit was absolutely lovely. Super clean and well prepared with everything we could possibility need. We thank Kelii and also the manager, Tiffany, for an excellent experience! Great location along Ali'i Drive and excellent unit location just above one of the pools. We also enjoyed the salt water pool. Little store nearby but has an amazing variety of foods and goods at reasonable prices. We have stayed at Casa de Emdeko many many times since 1996 and it is always fantastic. Mahalo!

Perfect Stay

Loved the condo. It was perfect for 2 people. Great seating on the balcony with nice plant life outside and even a slight view of ocean. Watch unobstructed stunning sunsets from salt water pool. Condo had all the things including beach chairs, cooler, snorkeling stuff, etc. They even provided coffee and creamer. Condo does not have beach access. There is a convenience store right outside Condo which came in very handy. Highly recommend.

Terrific Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this complex and in this unit specifically. The unit is excellent and met all our needs. You can tell it has had a number of renovations that really complimented the place. It was well appointed with the owner including many day to day beach items like chairs, towels, snorkel gear, etc., and many we didn’t use but were impressed that they were available. The grounds were outstanding. Good pools, outdoor eating and sitting areas, barbecues. Wonderful place overall. And the instructions we received worked like a charm. Would I recommend? You bet we would.

Great property for exploring the Big Island!!

We had a couple of hiccups with the front door lock but with patience, you can figure it out. The unit is near the elevator which is nice after a day of adventures. The only drawback is the uncomfortable bed. It did not offer enough comfort at the end of the day. This place was very cute and had everything we needed for fun in the sun and the lanai was a welcoming place to relax! The salt pool near the ocean was magnificent! They should really put more emphasis on that gem! We really enjoyed our stay here but would recommend they upgrade the bed. Otherwise, this was a very good place to stay in Kona!

Rebecca was a Very confused, rather frazzled guest. Uptight and abrupt when checking in even though my daughter and myself where right there for her.. Flipping out over the simple lock, not able to follow directions even though everything worked fine. Then expected in the middle of the day in the summer after 10 minutes the AC should be blasting in a building built in the 60’s . She was aggregated and rude yelling on the phone. , it sounded as though she does not travel much and does not read instructions well..I feel a hotel is always best for guests like this As far as the brand new $1000 mattress, I love sleeping on it and always get comments on how comfortAble the sleeping is, with great sheets, blankets a new fan above the bed, the sound of the ocean, a hot shower with fabulous hair and body products. Seriously it take a lot to find something to complain about at this condo., on the ocean in Hawaii right near town. I would not invite her back as a guest . Aloha

Beautiful and Homey

This was a perfect stay. The only thing better would be an ocean view, but for the price this was perfection. She was very responsive and made sure we were in and everything was good. Parking we usually had to park outside the gate but that wasn’t a big deal. The sunset everyone gathered and watched. The pool was definitely chilly and the salt pool was closed for high tides while there. The bed was very comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with quality equipment; the towels were soft. We ate on the lanai and listened to the birds. She really went above in making this place feel like home. A wonderful hose with a wonderful home. Very clean! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here at all.

Cute condo in a wonderful setting

This second floor unit is decorated in a Hawaiian theme. Everything you need is there, from a picnic cooler and beach chairs to two kinds of coffee makers (Keurig or conventional, with a grinder!). The bedroom is a little dark (some people like that) and the king size bed is comfortable. There is a stand up shower, no tub. The complex is beautiful and quiet. The guests are mostly retirees and many gather in the common areas for barbecues or watching the sunset. Not a lot of amenities for older children and no direct beach access, although the salt water pool is at beach level. Once we figured out the access codes and the best way to communicate with the owner we had no problems.

Aloha, I am so pleased you enjoyed my condo. I adore that place in fact you have a french roast-coffee maker as well. So that is 3 different ways to have coffee. I do try to go above and beyond. I am always amused that the review is excellent, only positive, great things to say, aside from a bedroom being to dark, which is funny. But yet I get 4 stars? That makes no sense, but I will just appreciate the kind words and move forward. Safe travels home Aloha.

Kona Comfort

We loved this fabulous condo the moment we stepped inside. It's welcoming, comfortable and has that island vibe that helps you relax and enjoy the present. It's an ideal location, super close to tons of activities, but also serene enough to have a peaceful cup of coffee on the balcony. Keli is an awesome host.

One Night Stay

We were Lucky enough to be able to fill a One Night Stay which was perfect for us coming from Hilo and having a early morning flight. We did not get to utilize the full use of the property. but found everything available in unit for ones needs including outdoor activities. Unit was Clean and Very Comfortable. we would stay there Again!
