There were 4 of us friends who enjoyed a lovely 5 nights. The apartment is lovely, in a great location. There are 47 steps to get up to the apartment. Francesco took care of the 2 minor issues we had very quickly. The outdoor terraces were beautiful. Downstairs is a nice restaurant. Ask your water taxi to drop you off and pick you up on the restaurant side of the canal. There’s a grocery store almost next door. We highly recommend!

Accommodation was fair, but not ‘Luzurious’. Have stayed in Venice a number of times before. Location good. Ground floor of block is used as storage for restaurant so stairwell door is left open most of the time, luckily as lock did not work with one of the 2 keys we had. Flat was reasonable but a bit tired so was slightly disappointed compared to other places we have stayed.

Perfect place and a perfect location

You can’t ask for anything else from this stay. The apartment is perfect for a family of 6. 2 balconies and 2 bathrooms with an extra toilet. Beds were comfortable. The location is incredible for such a large apartment. Would love to stay again.

Great historical apartment in a perfect location

The apartment is very spacious, clean, the location is superb. Air conditioning is fantastic, but you have to pay extra for it. The terrace is sunny and great for breakfasts The only downside is that there is no elevator, so you have to carry a suitcases to levels by the stairs

Lots of room the spread out in a great location

We were two couples but could have been more. The apartment is spacious and in an L shape that creates even more privacy. The beds were nice and everything worked very well. Maria was totally attentive and helpful, ncluding helping us figure out transportation options. It has ample outdoor space and an actual dining room—-both quite unusual for a Venice rental, and a fabulous tub in one of the bathrooms that we used every day (also a shower in another bathroom). This large apartment feels just like home, which it once was for the owner’s grandfather. A short walk to the Rialto and San Marco, so very nicely located—-everything you need is nearby, including the Vaporetto stops.. We went for the Biennale, there’s still time :)

Great location and responsive, friendly owners

Francesco and Maria were quick to reply to questions and needed repairs and offered suggestions for travel and eating. There are 52 steps up to the apt so pack lightly as there is no lift. While the apt had been renovated the building's common entry and hallways were more like NYC tenaments with peeling paint and no lighting and the outer door to the building that should have locked shut did not even latch close. The 4 bedrooms worked well for our large group but for those who get up during the night to pee be aware 2 bedrooms require walking through the dining room to access a bathroom the other 2 have bathrooms close by. In addition to the rental fee, gov't tourist tax and security deposit (the last 2 must be paid in cash or by paypal at check-in) the owners will take an electric meter reading at the start of the stay. If your usage exceeds a "reasonable" amount you will have an electric fee deducted from your deposit. We were not high use follks so it wasn't a problem but if you leave lights on or run the AC excessively you can expect a deduction from your deposit.

Great Property for Larger Groups

Our family of 5 adults stayed at this property during the first week of July. Communication, check-in & check-out were easy and precise. Not sure if I missed the hotel tax in the description but it's roughly 20E/day. The 4bd/2.5ba apartment is very large and clean. The bedrooms are very big and there is plenty of seating in the living rooms. We didn't use the kitchen except for keeping beverages cool and refilling the ice trays and ate out for most meals. The primary bedroom has a stairway (4 steps) leading from the sleeping area to the bathroom with the jacuzzi tub with shower wand which might be a concern if you are less stable on your feet and showering is a little unusual unless you're used to the configuration. The other bathroom has a stand-up shower. The A/C units in the bedrooms and living room worked efficiently. We enjoyed the location (near St. Apostoli) and found it convenient for using Water Taxis instead of Vaporettos to/from the airport & train station, which minimized carrying luggage through the city. Lots of restaurants of varying quality are close and apartment book provides several enjoyable recommendations. We didn't find the stairs though we packed light (carry-on & personal item). If you travel with several large pieces of luggage or have difficulty carrying it up a few flights of stairs, it's something to consider as there is no elevator. Overall, we found it to be a good value and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Great apartment for large group

We stayed in this apartment for 7 nights in Sep/Oct 2024. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The terrace was a nice place for our morning coffee and we were close to lots of shopping, bars, restaurants, and the water bus stop. Communication with the management was good and we had all the information we needed. We really have no complaints, but there were a couple small things that the owners could do make the place more comfortable. The owners contract with another company for the bed linens and towels. Only one bath towel for each guest was allotted to us. There is a washer in the apartment and we came prepared with detergent, but there is no dryer, which we understand is common. So, there was no way to dry the bath towels for the next day's showers (air drying was not enough). We also could have used some additional blankets. We did mention when we checked out that they may want to amend their contract with the linen providers. We did use the washer with no problems, and we mostly had quick dry clothing. One thing to be aware of is there are 52 steps to the apartment, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. We had no problems with the steps. You will be charged extra for the air conditioning, but we didn't need it after the first day. They don't turn on the heat in the building until November, so if it's cold, you will need extra clothing. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend with the few issues.

Karneval 2025

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal mit 8 Erwachsenen in dieser Wohnung. Sie liegt sehr zentral und ruhig und man muss nur eine Brücke mit dem Koffer vom Vaporetto überqueren. In der Nähe findet man auch einen Supermarkt für die Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, so dass man sich bequem die üppigen Roben für das Flanieren in der Stadt anziehen kann. Wir können sie gerne weiter empfehlen.

Venise au mois de novembre

Appartement spacieux, propre, bien situé. Arrivée dans un appartement où tous les volets étaient restés fermés.Problème de chauffage important, les chambres et salles de bain sont restés très froides pendant les 5 jours du séjour ( autour de 16 / 17 max ) au point de dormir avec nos pull over , humidité des serviettes ...et ce malgré le passage à 2 reprises du propriétaire pour régler ce souci.

Rückzugsoase im quirligen Venedig

+ Die Wohnung von Francesco entspricht voll und ganz den Fotos auf Fewo direkt. Wunderschöne Schlafzimmer, eine gut ausgestattete Küche, großzügige Aufenthaltsbereiche, tolle Dachterrasse. Trotz zentraler Lage nahe der Rialto-Brücke wunderbar ruhig. Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen alten Palazzo eine fantastische Woche mit der Familie verbracht. Jeder hatte genug Platz und seinen eigenen Rückzugsbereich. - Leider hatten wir recht kühle Septembertage erwischt. Die Bettwäsche war dagegen eher an Sommertemperaturen ausgerichtet. Störend ist - allerdings nur zu gewissen Zeiten - der Dunstabzug des Restaurants vor der Tür, der oberhalb der Dachterrasse endet.

Mit kleinen Mängeln

Ich war mit einer Gruppe von Freunden dort (8 Personen). Obwohl ich im Voraus um 6 Schlüssel gebeten hatte, gab es nur 3 Schlüssel. Bei einer Wohnung mit 4 Doppelzimmern ist das eindeutig zu wenig. Selbst Paare sind dann nicht einzelnin der Lage die Stadt zu erkunden. Bei Einzelreisenden ist es noch schwieriger und führt zwangsläufig zu Einschränkungen. Abgesehen von einer nicht zu verschließenden Toilettentür war die Wohnung technisch in Ordnung und sauber. Mit der Tatsache, dass es nur eine Dusche gibt konnten wir uns arrangieren. Sie liegt sehr zentral und trotzdem absolut ruhig. Bilder und Beschreibungen entsprechend dem Inserat. Franceso ist immer erreichbar und bemüht. Mit einer Gruppe aus Einzelpersonen würde ich die Wohnung nicht empfehlen und ich werde sie auch nicht wieder buchen.

Wundervolle Tage in Venedig

Wir fanden die sehr schöne und großzügige Wohnung in blitzsauberem Zustand vor und wurden dort herzlich von Francesco begrüßt. Unser Gastgeber erklärte uns alle wichtigen Details rund um die Wohnung und übergab uns einen Infofolder mit allen wichtigen Informationen sowie prima Restauranttipps! Der Supermarkt nur ca. 25m entfernt war für unsere täglichen Einkäufe genial! Wir genossen sehr die gut ausgestattete Küche und die herrliche Terrasse! Es waren großartige Tage in Venedig und wir waren dankbar für unsere Ruheoase am Abend und in der Nacht! Danke an Familie Isabella

Schöne große, helle Wohnung mitten im Cannaregio. Gute Bars und Trattorien sowie Supermarkt direkt anbei. Ruhig und angenehm. Alles vorhanden, was man braucht in Küche und Bad.

Grand appartement agréable doté d'une grande terrasse

Excellent séjour. Grand appartement pour 8 personnes, bien situé à 15 minutes du pont du Rialto et de la place St Marc. Il est agréable d'y prendre ses repas , par beau temps, sur la grande terrasse. La station de vaporetto de Ca d'Oro est la plus proche et la plus pratique. Quelques manques sur les ustensiles de cuisine mais les propriétaires sont très réactifs et ont aussitôt satisfait nos demandes

Family gathering for wedding

We had an amazing stay at this apartment - communication was fantastic - we were met off the waterbus by Francesco who showed us where everything was - 7 adults in one home and we never felt on top of each other - Venice was very hot and the terrace was perfect - we were all meeting here for our daughters wedding and this apartment made the stay better than we could have hoped for - we hosted a post wedding brunch and it looked beautiful - We loved our stay and the welcome we received

Lovely, but read the "fine" print...

Very lovely apartment on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The kitchen is nicely renovated. We were not given garbage bags for the "daily trash collection" you are required to do while staying at this home. (Instead we were told to "use our shopping bags"). Make sure to bring several hundred euros for a security deposit and also cash for tax and air conditioner fees. It definitely did not feel like a warm welcome. You are better off taking a water taxi right to the home instead of the water bus. We took the water bus, and ended up walking 25 minutes (with suitcases in hand) up and down stairs, across several bridges and then up another several flights of stairs once inside the building.

Beautiful apartment with lots of space and great amenities

We really enjoyed our stay. We were pretty worn out from pounding the pavements of Venice to see the Biennale in a day, and the apartment was such a welcome refuge. It has all of the comforts of a home away from home with a nice kitchen and laundry facilities. I could not ask for anything more.

Highly valuable appartement for 8 people in the center of Venice

Francesco was very helpful and reliable. For a family of 8 people this was the perfect and stylish stay. In particular, we enjoyed a well equipped kitchen and the large table in the shade on the terrasse. The location close to Rialto Bridge is perfect for reaching nearly any spot in Venice - even Gardini - by walking winthin 15-25 minutes - often faster than by Vaporetto. Air conditioning is available!
