Unit 057 - 102 Surf Ct. - Summer Wave. Wow! What a beautiful new construction less than 2 years old on Dauphin Island. This gulf front beauty is ready for you and your family. Beach cottage is professionally designed with a feel of HGTV. This home boasts four bedrooms, two baths and an open living area with vaulted ceilings and kitchen. Home’s floor plan is divided by barn doors off the living area with each side offering two bedrooms, and a hall bath. Two bedrooms offer king sized beds, one with a queen and 1 with a set of full bunks. They all offer flat screen televisions. The bunk room has a dvd for the kids on a rainy day. The living room has a flat screen television/dvd player located over the electric fireplace. Dining table and bar seating for the entire family - and top of the line appliances in the kitchen. The outdoor area boasts an outdoor shower and a covered deck with 4 adirondacks, and outdoor table & chairs. This home is just steps from the shoreline - perfect for families & children.

Daughters Senior Trip

1st time to Dauphin Island. It was amazing, house was so close to the water we could sit with our feet in the water or move to under the house for shade. We want to make it a regular place to visit.

Great location and felt like home

I’m always looking for homes that mimic the style and feel of our own home. I can tell you that a lot of the decor and design choices I would’ve picked myself. Loved staying here and will book again!

Great stay!

We loved our stay here for spring break. We have a 2 year old and 5 year old. You can’t beat just walking down the steps and being at the beach. The house was decorated very cute and beachy. The dishwasher did not work great, so the dishes were not very clean, even after we ran the dishwasher twice. There were not enough trash bags available for use after we took the trash out once. The house could’ve been a little cleaner, but overall it was nice. The doorknob on the front door came off while we were there, but we did call management and they came and fixed it within 30 minutes. We had a great time and would stay again!

Poor Communication

We had to deal with a rental company who made zero contact. The house was really nice and right on the beach. We didn’t have to leave the island which was nice but a tropical storm forced us to leave early.

NOT CLEAN—-Not worth the money

Our 2024 vacation was filled with excitement and relaxation with the online description. Newly renovated and all the upgrades…….not exactly true! If you call a couch that’s so warn you have to take pillows from a bedroom to put under cushions so you’re not sunk in, end tables are tv trays. Fireplace but no instructions on how to get it to work and no rerun call when inquired. Ice maker broken , dirty dishes in cabinets, skillets need to be replaced. Human hair on shower walls, finger nail clippings around bathroom sink. Hair balls under the throw pillows on bed in master bedroom. These are unexceptionable conditions, text no one offered to come clean. Had the heat fixed where it would not get over a certain temperature and it was cold one and out! I would say this was a massive disappointment to say the least. It’s the amount of money we spent and the cleaning fees we pay the home should be spotless! We deserve some money back for sure.

Great Home, Terrific Location, Lousy WiFi

We were thrilled when we arrived at this home. The location is amazing; the house is beautiful, and the property is very well-stocked. We only had a couple of complaints. The wifi was unreliable to the point of being nearly unusable. In fairness, they do warn you in the listing that weather can create issues with internet service; however, while we were there, the problems didn't seem weather related. For lots of folks, wifi is a nice add-on, but this was a partial work trip for me, so the lack of reliable internet was a problem. Also, the property needs a little more attention to cleaning, given the humid Gulf Coast weather. For example, the kitchen had a utensil caddy that was coated in black mold. Also, the wooden knife storage block was apparently so saturated with moisture that, when we pulled out knives, they were wet. We finally took them out and just laid them on the counter. The wifi, in particular, was a problem for me, but we still had a great time. The location can't be beat, and the overall vibe of the property was excellent.

Beautiful home!

This was our family's third visit to DI. We have enjoyed our stay each time, but this house was particularly beautiful! It had all the amenities of home. The beds and bedding were super comfortable! Everything we needed was there! We would love to stay here again!

Fantastic Getaway

Me and 3 friends stayed here for our annual Beach Friendsgiving trip and were so pleased with the property. The house is decorated perfectly, the views are amazing, the kitchen had everything we needed to make our full Thanksgiving dinner, and the convenience of the beach to the house was heaven to us. We usually change up locations each year for our trip but we have decided this will be our go to location for years to come if it is available.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Dauphin Island and this house was perfect for our stay. The location was perfect, we could walk downstairs and be at the beach whenever we wanted. Our kids had a great time and we will certainly be back! Thanks!

Perfect house and location!

This house is beautiful and the layout is excellent! Love the barn doors that separates off both of the sleeping areas of the house with the main kitchen and living area. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. Being right on the gulf front was beautiful and fun. On two separate days we were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming by the house. So fun! Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home and right on the beach

We had a wonderful time at Summer Wave. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The oven was not working when we arrived but we had been notified earlier that day. It was promptly fixed the next day. I would note that previous reviews said the ice maker was not working and it was still not working during our stay. It was reported to the property management team. Overall it was a great stay and the house had everything we needed. We are already making plans to rent it again.

Not At All As Presented

To begin with, our experience with the property management company was great - particularly Casey. The house sits on the sand, no driveway under the house, no steps from the beach to the back deck as pictured. The outdoor shower is not useable since the steps are missing and the sand has eroded around it. Getting to the steps that take you to the front door is ankle deep. The ice maker was broken- we had to buy ice. The lamps next to the beds are missing knobs so very difficult to turn on. The bed sheets are like sand paper. We ended up leaving 3 days early after digging and pushing my sons car out of the sand. The wind and the tide brought water under the house in some places as high as 2 feet. The inside of the house is beautiful but paying what we did for this house is a disgrace.

The location was awesome!

The house & location were great but the furnishings were lacking. The deck furniture was cheap and broken & the staircase (oceanside) was gone. The ice maker was not working. There weren't any clocks in the bedrooms.

A good place for R&R

The property itself was lovely. Very clean. Check in was easy. The place is well decorated and maintained. Kitchen is well stocked. There wasn't much noise around us. Check out was easy. After Check out we did get a message about a possible stain that was on the couch. However, she was very polite about it and was only asking so she could clean it properly. We were unsure about it. My absolute only complaint. This was our first time to the island. Description was that the water is blue and clear. That's not what we got there. The waves were rough during our stay there the last week of April. Maybe that contributed to it. So if your picky about the type of water you swim in, you will most likely be displeased with that part. If you can get past that, it's beautiful. Quite. Great place to just kick back, relax and enjoy the beach. Go to the grocery store ahead of time. There isn't much there. Just a few local small places to eat. Which were also nice.

Absolutely Amazing

This place is truly luxurious. The place is for well decorated and clean. It’s beachfront position allows you to drink coffee on the balcony while watching the sunrise, sunset, or the kids playing in the ocean. We will be visiting again. We had minor check-in miscommunication with the property manager, which was resolved after I called them. I HIGHLY recommend this property and this beautiful part of the country.

Perfect CHRISTmas vaca

This Dauphin Island property is perfect; location, design, furnishings, everything! We enjoyed our CHRISTmas getaway so very much. Everyone in our family was comfortable and very happy to be on the Island in this house. We will be back to stay here again.
