Wonderful apartment in Pisa – it had everything we needed! Air conditioning in every room made the hot days very comfortable, and the interior was spacious and well-equipped. The hosts were amazing – warm, kind, and helpful. The host even gave us a ride to the beach, which was a lovely gesture. Great location – close to a café with delicious croissants, shops, and the city center. An extra attraction were the turtles walking around the yard and the beautiful, colorful parrots. Highly recommended – fantastic location!

Just like home

It was comfortable, perfect for meals, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. We could do our laundry and sit outside. It was right beside the sport center where we had our tournament. We could not have had nicer hosts. Thank you thank you

Ideal for a family

The apartment is close to the Pisa Tower. The owners (who live on the ground floor) are very welcoming and warm. The turtles in the courtyard and the parrots are a real plus and delight the children. The house is old-style but large (the entire first floor with a large terrace). Access is via a separate staircase. Children can play safely in the courtyard: Ideal for a family !thcourtyard: family.

Very nice couple

Take a bus to the home.... Otherwise, it will be a long walk because the location is outside the city wall.....No AC too....very nice safe area...the apt is upstairs..

Amazing place in Pisa with a full kitchen

We absolutely loved our stay in Pisa. The place had plenty of room including a very large kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. It is located in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood, but close enough to walk just about anywhere, including a nearby supermarket. The best part however was the hosts! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They provided directions and had many maps and tour books in the home. They even gave us a ride to the airport. I highly recommend you book this place if it’s available!

Our stay was in July. It was record hot, and there are no air conditioners in the house. There were an awful lot of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets or other protection. There was no place on the children where they were not bitten.

Good Location in Pisa

The apartment is in a good location to the leaning tower and the historical center of Pisa...within walking distance. It is on a busy street and the traffic can be loud until late in the night. The owners are lovely and hospitable. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is no air conditioning or screens on the windows - however it seems that screens are not common in Italy. Also, there is no shower curtain so taking a shower can be tricky otherwise you get water all over the bathroom. Overall, this is a decent apartment in a good location.

After travelling by car from Rome we arrived at this accommodation later than expected in the early evening. We were greeted by our hosts most welcomly but soon came to realise that we were not staying in the apartment above the hosts residence as we had booked, but in their home. This was a complete shock as It was not what we had booked or paid for1. It did not have enough single beds to accommodate all 4 of our group (we were not travelling as couples). One of our group slept on a mattress on the floor of the lounge room. 2. It did not have air conditioning as stated3. We did not have access to a terrace as stated4. We were sleeping in the hosts beds with their clothes, personal effects etc. Felt very intrusive5. The terraced apartment that we had believed we were staying in had another guest in there. It was very hard to communicate with our hosts due to not understanding each others language. Even with a translation app we struggled to understand why we had not been able to stay in the apartment we had booked. We understand that problems arise with holiday rentals but it would have been more appropriate if our hosts had notified us of the change in our accommodation prior to our arrival and given us a choice to either cancel the booking and find some where else to stay or remain in there home. We really do appreciate that they went to stay elsewhere while we were in their home but it was not what we paid or signed up for.

Beautiful Place with Wonderful Hosts

Me and my family absolutely loved our stay here. We couldn't have hoped for a better place as we settled ourselves into Pisa. This place is like having a 'real' home in a typical residential area of Pisa. If you're staying for more than a couple of days, I highly recommend this location as it is closer to the typical Pisan experience. In saying that, it is only a short walk to the tower, and the main downtown area (and only 30min walk to the train station). There's a pasticerria, cafe, pizzerias and supermarket close by. The place itself is very homely. It has everything you need, including good wifi. It also has tortoises in the garden! And a kitty. There is a small park over the road that was useful for our kids and dog. The best aspect of the place was the hosts. They are a beautiful older couple who were helpful, kind and thoughtful, and treat you like family as soon as you arrive.

Authentic Italian Experience

The location is perfect for touring the area. The neighborhood is very safe to walk and relatively quiet for Pisa which can be noisy if you stay anywhere next to the Tower or City Center. This home is in easy walking distance of everything Pisa has to offer, but out of the busy tourist section. The hosts were wonderful and the accommodation was comfortable and enjoyable. This home is typical of older Italian dwellings and was perfect for our 5 week stay. We especially enjoyed our breakfast in our own kitchen with the sun shining in from the balcony. The hosts were very eager to take care of anything we needed and went over and above to make our stay a good experience. The inside was perfectly clean and our bed was very comfortable with nice linen and comforters. If you want to experience real Italian living, then this would be your place. If you have never been to Italy before, then please do not come with pre-conceived notions of everything being perfect like you see in the travel brochures because nowhere is perfect and that is not how life is. Just enjoy the wonderful experience of a real Italian home with the best Italian couple you could ever ask for. We would definitely stay here again and are very happy to have had the opportunity to know them and enjoy their lovely home.

Disappointed in Pisa

We stayed here for a week. The Hosts were excellent, friendly and willing to help, but the property left a lot to be desired. The neighborhood was fine and we felt safe. However, the exterior door to our apartment did not lock properly. I had to use a travel safety lock to keep the door from opening on its own. It was an issue when we left the apt. The gas stove was very hard to turn on. The refrigerator did not have a handle on it. There weren't enough coffee mugs (only 1 for 3 people). There were several small tea cups or espresso demi-tasses, but not suitable for an Americano. No kettle, so we had to boil our water in a pot on the stove. No sofa, or living room furniture. Either you sit on small, hard, kitchen chairs, or on your bed. The bathroom had issues as well. To sit on the toilet, we had to fit into a tight corner, and we needed to fit our knees under the pedestal sink. There was no shower curtain, often getting the floor wet. There weren't enough towel bars, only one small one for a hand towel. The bedroom had lots of drawer space, but not much closet space. The bed was lumpy, the sheets were threadbare, the pillows either less than 2 inches (4 cm) thick, or excessively thick and hard. We could not open windows because of the mosquitoes, even in late October. We were often awaken during the night to the hum of mosquitoes in our ears, and we were covered in bites after the first couple of days. The traffic noise was quite loud.

Christmas Day in Pisa

As we're mixed family 16 and 17 years old Japanese and Australian girls travelling together, it was nice to have two bedrooms and family friendly kitchen. Because we were arriving Pisa on the Christmas eve about 6:00 pm, we bought food in Florence and brought them and cooked on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (We experienced in the past we couldn't do and eat anything on the Christmas day as everything was closed in Milan). There was a small Christmas tree in the corridor, we actually left a little Christmas present each under the tree and opened it on Christmas morning. It was a perfect place I picked for the Christmas Day. Girls were away from home, but they still had a Christmas spirit at Giuliano's place. We attended Christmas Mass at the cathedral, then spent all day sightseeing in Pisa on the Christmas Day. Main places were all opened. These tourist spots are all walking distance from Giuliano's place. Giuliano picked us up at the station and drove us to the airport, he took us another leaning tower in Pisa on the way to the airport. Giuliano and his wife Isa treated us more than just tourists passing by, it was very nice for us to feel someone in Italy is caring us. Thank you very much, Giuliano and Isa. For other travellers, communicating in English by emails with Giuliano was no problems. He replied all my emails, sometimes he checked for me timetable and etc. The place is specious, but no washing machine. My husband went to the coin laundry and spent there for sometime. But portable washing rack was at the balcony, brought in and put the rack in front of the heater, then no problem, everything was dry by next morning. No microwave, but oven and lots of kitchen utensils, plates and cups etc. If you have a car, street parking doesn't seem a problem on his street (but you'd better check with Giuliano).

Accueil sympa et logement bien situé

Accueil très sympathique par le couple de propriétaires vivant au rdc, avec des œufs de Pâques de circonstance Logement un peu « vieillot » (salle de bain et chauffe-eau en particulier) mais propre et spacieux, idéalement situé dans un quartier calme à 15 min de marche de la Torre de Pisa. Très bien pour notre séjour de 3 nuits !
