This lake is famous for its fishing. This home has all the amenities one wants in a high-end rental. This home has so many cool things, WIFI, two NEW 60 inch TVs, a video library, the kitchen has everything you could ever want. Keurig coffee maker, coffee provided. 2 fireplaces, fire pit- with poly wood chairs fire pit wood provided. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths.
Upstairs Private Large owners bedroom with King log bed, and a private attached Bathroom.
Main floor Queen bedroom with a 4 poster bed.
Main floor Twin bedroom with 2 beds with Teddy Bears, of course.
Large main floor bathroom with shower bathtub, and sink/toilet.
This home has a 10x30 deck with gas grill, Gas is provided. A Poly wood table, chairs, and chaise rocking chair with space for two people. LEVEL LAKE FRONTAGE **NO STAIRS TO THE LAKE!!!!! CHECK OUT ALL OUR PICTURES, TO GET A REAL FEEL FOR THE PROPERTY.

Fish the Eastside, or the Westside... World record Musky came from this Lake! Dock with fishing boat, no motor. Deck with BBQ gas grill. This home has everything one wants in a Northwoods home. Three bedrooms, 2 baths, washer-dryer, 2 fireplaces (1 gas & 1 wood burning), fire-pit, complete kitchen, high-speed internet, 2- New 60 inch TVs, with Direct TV channels.. 1 King log bed, 1 Queen 4 poster bed, and 2 Twin beds with Big Teddy Bears, of course! Snowmobile right from our back door. This home rents all year. Come play in the Northwoods... fine dining and casino nearby… ***PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS AND ALL TOWELS FOR KITCHEN AND BATH AND SWIMMING.*** We do not allow any cancellations.

We’ve stayed at quite a few rental properties, in diverse locations, some of them significantly more expensive than this one. This was probably the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a very nice cabin in a great location on the Chippewa Flowage, and the owners are really great to work with. We did have a few hiccups during this trip (not related to Rick and Gail) and they accommodated us better than we could’ve expected. Truly good people and a great property.

Fantastic Cabin!

Our party included my husband, adult son, DIL & 15 mo old baby, and our two dogs.Everything was perfect! The listing is 100% accurate except it’s more beautiful in-person. The location is perfect. The fishing was great. The hosts were great. We fished, enjoyed a trip to Hayward for shopping, and had a fantastic time. The cabin is breathtaking & was great for our family. Can’t wait to return!

Instant calm

It was exactly what we needed. Our multigenerational family and dog loved this cabin. It was really nice to be able to just walk out to the dock and the setup was great for lounging in.

Simply spectacular!

Eaglesnest is everything you could want in a northwoods retreat, and Gail and Rick are excellent hosts. We've traveled the world; much of America, Euorpe, Asia, the Carribean, and have never felt so welcome and at home. Only negative is that we had to leave so soon.

Lovely getaway

We had a lovely time in the beautiful, clean house. We are not hunters and were hoping to hike but there were limited options around that seemed safe from hunters. Otherwise, fantastic and highly recommended!

Great Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at Eaglesnest. The accommodations were very nice, decor was great, and the location was wonderful. It was also nice to have a pontoon to use on the lake. The owner puts a lot of effort into ensuring that her guests have a nice stay, and that is much appreciated. It is also much appreciated that dogs are allowed and enjoyed by the owner. She understands that they are part of your family, too. We hope to return in the near future!

Thanks for the review! The best part of renting is truly our renters! When you mentioned the dogs being allowed, and welcomed, a smile came over my face. Spectacular Up North Cabin for a Family!

We loved out stay and the cabin is fantastic and perfectly set up. We used all the good advice for things to do and places to go. It's a little remote if you're the type who wants to pop into town for shopping or lunch, but our family was looking for a quiet week with lots of board games, XC skiing and big family meals and it was exactly what we expected. Except for the coyote skin over the back of the couch... we didn't expect that :)

Ok, here is the story on the coyote...I am at a friends house, and this coyote, is lying across their banister, being from the "city" . I ask, what's that??? Oh it's a coyote, my friend responds. To be polite I say "oh cool" . The next weekend he shows up at my house with a Very big dead coyote, and says here you go, I shot this for you! So 4 Hundred dollars later.... there you have it!!!!! WE REALLY ENJOYED HAVING YOU, PLEASE COME STAY AGAIN!!!!!! RICK AND GAIL RAHLF

Very nice, comfortable cabin. Everything we needed! We had our daughter and her two dogs with us and took our boat out each day to enjoy the beautiful Chippewa Flowage. We fished, and took the pontoon out for a nice relaxing ride around the lake. The owners were great to work with too and asked our opinion on anything that could make the lake home better for us and future guests! Very nice get away, hope to be back again! Thanks Gail and Rick for sharing your beatufil home.

Family vacation

This beautiful home was exactly as advertised. The little ones had great fun "exploring", playing in the water and catching lots of fish from the dock. It was a great place to spend precious family time. We thoroughly appreciated the fact that our "dog family" was able to be with us. Gail checked in with us to see if our needs were met. A rainy day was spent bowling and a sunny afternoon was spent with Wilderness Park and go carts. Of course had to have a meal at Original Famous Dave's. We would recommend this beautifully appointed home to anyone.

Beautiful cabin

This place was perfect in every way. Gail (the host) was very available annd answered every question we had right away. The pictures are accurate. Furniture is comfortable. The owners mother even makes throws so you can cozy up to the wood burning fireplace. Perfect place to relax. It is really nice that the loft upstairs (master suite) has a door for privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (which we did daily). The cabin is close enough to drive in to Hayward for some shopping. The stars are glorious. Sunsets are beautiful. We would love to come back in the summer months. We loved every minute of it and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Gail for being such a wonderful host.

Chippewa Flowage winter respite

The pictures depict Eagle's Nest aptly and Gail was really responsive to our texts/questions. The home is cozy and tons of chopped wood were provided for our winter fire needs. Also, we enjoyed watching Bowl games on their family room TV. Because we booked a really impromptu trip, I did not read her Rental Contract which indicated there were no bath nor kitchen towels provided. I have never encountered that with a VRBO home, so it struck me as strange. Luckily, Gail contacted a neighbor who lent us some towels as the nearest Walmart was 35 minutes away. Checkout time seems quite early (9 a.m.) especially given the cleanup expected. There is a really nice outdoor fire pit and I guess there are tons of Muskie and other fish in the Flowage. Fun place to stay to get away from the city!

Gorgeous Property!

My triplet sisters and our husbands stayed here for our birthday week late May. As soon as we pulled in we were in love with the place, gorgeous log cabin home. Then we walked inside, even more beautiful plus we had a triplet birthday cake waiting for us from Gail. The place was spotless, plenty of bedding, kitchen stocked with pans for cooking and dish soap. We had everything we needed plus more . The pontoon boat was thoroughly enjoyed especially the electric anchor and trolling motor .The location of this property is perfect. Close to Hayward or you can take a short trip to Spooner or Stone Lake to explore . The Landing Boat Ramp and Resort is a five minute drive or pontoon ride. We took the pontoon over for lunch and really had a delicious meal. Eagles nest is a five star home in a five star setting. Great fire pit with a beautiful view of the Chippewa flowage. We are also birders and the birding was great. Fishing was a little slow due to weather but we still caught enough for a big fish fry one eve. Thank you Gail for being such a great and gracious host. Our trip was outstanding ! Beautiful place, we are coming back if you will have us!

Perfect Vacation Rental

We stayed here the middle of February 2017 and had a wonderful time. We rent from Homeway/VRBO 2-3 x per year and I can honestly say this is one of the best places we have stayed at. Very spacious, loved the wood burning fire with plenty of wood on hand, comfortable master bed (did not use the other beds), and oddly one of the best things is that all the switches were labeled!! Plenty of cookware, including a non stick pan that wasn't scraped up, tupperware for leftovers, and plenty of glasses for wine and cocktails. The only thing that was missing, and this is all rentals we have been too, were sharp knives for food prep. We usually bring a couple of our own and forgot. They weren't too bad but missed our own. We loved the 2 huge TV's and watched movies every night. The Weber grill and back lights were awesome and we grilled the perfect steak. The lake was frozen so we were able to fat bike all over. We initially were hesitant b/c the town was 30minutes away but it really is non factor. It was a little farther away to Seeley and Cable, but for a day trip to fat bake on CAMBA or XC ski, it wasn't an issue at all. Very easy to get around with a GPS. We loved it and we will be back!!

Welcome to our website! This home is our pride and joy. We have shared this home with renters, since we built it. We built it with you in mind. We have rented homes before, and thought if ever we could, we would build it with all the extras. This home has brought our family many good times. We are big dog lovers, so please bring the 4 legged 'kids too'! My husband Rick, has taken this home as his ever lovin pastime, adding neat touches, and making it one of the areas finest. This is the escape we were looking for...perfect vacation home that removes you from all the rat race of the cities. My husband grew up coming to this lake, his parents, owned a trailer at a resort. His stories, of coming to the lake and hanging around the kids, was a very fun experience for him. When we first started looking at properties, we found ourselves coming back to this lake, simply because nothing else compared. Our street is a Penninsula, so we don't have much traffic and can walk our dogs, with no fear, of cars.

Big water views, no stairs to the lake. The fishing here can't be beaten, Fishing off our dock brings in fish...ALL THE TIME!! We built this home, so we added all the special touches. Our builder was recommended to us by a resort owner from this area, and we could not have been more pleased. We wanted a flat piece of property. When we saw this property in such a great area, that was it, we had to have it! This wooded property is just so private and relaxing. Come see for yourself!
