This beatiful stone house is a historic home filled with amazing wood work, endless windows, arches, coves, hardwood floors, 3 fireplaces, Billard/bar room, library, 2 porches, fenced in back yard, gas grill n plenty of room for entertainment for large families or get togethers. Pool n Rec facilities a block away and endless rivers, lakes and parks to explore.. boating, kayaking, tubing, swimming and fishing.. 30 miles from EAA, 25 miles from Iola, and forty miles to Lambeau feild in Green Bay, 20 miles to Waupaca chain o lakes, 20 miles to Appleton/fox cities

Excellent experience. House was exactly as described/pictured. Everything was clean. House has a lot of charm. Host was helpful and communicative. Would absolutely recommend!

Amazing stay

We had extended family stay and it was amazing! We had a variety of spaces for the extroverts and introverts to gather, a variety of spaces to sleep, extended family to gather for dinner outside and back yard. I would definitely stay there again. It was close to perfect. The pullout couch in the library is not comfortable but would be perfect with another layer on the thin mattress. We borrowed a blow up mattress and put it in the floor instead of using the pull out. There were also so many interesting things to look at and talk about. Nice quiet, town great for walking with the dog etc etc. Highly recommend!!

Marvelous Mansion in a quaint community

I brought a group of 11 men to stay five days using New London as our home base to ride our motorcyles throught the scenic hills and valleys of Central Wisconsin. The guys enjoyed the spacious nature of the house with its many bedrooms and large common areas. The surroundings were also great as were the neighbors who ignored our loud pipes as we departed each morning to hit the road. The only comment I heard as that five toilets were great but only two showers were not so great for 11guys. Other than that I heard nothing but good remarks about this property. The owner was great to communicate with before and during our stay, which is not always the case with VRBO properties. I highly recommend this property for any large groups.

Eclectic, historic home

The house was great. Very spacious. The only issue we had was the listing says 6 bedrooms, but two of those rooms were not bedrooms. One was a billiard room with a bar that we placed matresses down on the floor. The other had a section sofa some of the kids slept on for the weekend. This was nothing major for us. One of the showers didn't drain after being used the first time which made showering with 15 people in one shower a little bit of hassle. There was nothing else that really made the stay bad. Great location. Quiet, easy to get in and out. We appreciate the opportunity to have stayed here.

Christmas with the family

The rental process was very smooth. While we were able to make this work well, we question the ownerā€™s definition of a bedroom. A mattress on the floor isnā€™t really a bed and a room without a door isnā€™t a bedroom. Beautiful home with lots of space to spread out. Really wonderful kitchen with lots of dishes and cooking equipment. Lots of room for several cooks to work comfortably. However, there werenā€™t many towels for dish doing and the refrigerator had other peoples food left in it. Very homey comfortable for all of us.

Wolf River Float Trip Bachelorette Party

This house was amazing! Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate a group of 15 girls looking to have a fun weekend! We grilled on the Weber grill and hung in the yard one day, spent a night dancing and playing games in the billiard room, and ended up in the kitchen many times to eat, drink, and have fun. Sleeping 15 was a little tight but lots of space for air mattresses in the house. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay for a big group!

Family Get Together

Everyone loved the House and Property! Utilized the outdoor space quite often and game room. Lots to look at inside the house, very eclectic and fun. Shade was great to communicate with and helpful. Looking forward till next time !

Good place for a family getaway.

This property was beautifully landscaped and a unique historical property to stay in. Our family enjoyed watching the Olympics in the living room, playing pool and darts in the rec room, cooking and grilling and then gathering around the large table with all available chairs for our meals together! Only negative was the bed situation. Definition of a bed didn't match mine for a few of the rooms, but we managed to work with it. Overall, a good value!!

Fun and interesting!

We had a group of 15, 8 adults and 7 kids. The property was very nice, with VERY interesting decorations. We were always discovering something new, lol. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out but also room for us to all sit together for dinner. I will say the bedroom situation is odd, as there are only 3 ā€œrealā€ bedrooms but we were able to make it work with the extra mattress that were stashed around. The back patio was wonderful and we spent lots of time out there. Bring bug spray though if you are staying during the summer. The house/kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to accommodate 15 people. And the few questions I did have, Shade was quick to respond and help. The community center was also very nice. We spent a few hours there one afternoon to let the kids swim and play on the splash pad. Overall, we loved our experience and will definitely be talking about it for many years to come!

July family gathy

This was our second time staying here. Really appreciated the addition of central air conditioning , extra mattresses and better fans. The owner was very easy to work with.

House amenities

Not enough bathrooms for 20 people, we were 16 adults and property manager had to add mattresses to accommodate all guests properly. It was done efficiently.

We found the house to be spacious, uniquely decorated with a combination of modern and antique. Well kept up older home. The roominess fit our 17 people gathering well. The owner was easy to contact with questions. We did find that the Kitchen had very limited cooking utinsels and dishes. The dishwasher had bad stains or something so we never used it. The coffee maker (not the Kureg) did not work. There was no air-conditioning and many of the windows could not be opened. One of the 2 box fans provided had a broken blade . We felt more fans could have been provided as it was very warm during our stay.

Family Reunion

A very unique home which the grandkids loved. We could have used a little more sleeping options. I spoke with property manager and he was very receptive to adding some. Very happy with the management of the home.
