If you’re looking for a relaxing tropical getaway with less traffic, fewer people and an all-around slower pace of life, look no further than the Captain’s Quarters!
Located just 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport in sunny Dunedin, Florida, this Gulf Coast area of the Sunshine State is popular thanks to its warm waters, powdery white sandy beaches, and family-friendly appeal. Only a short drive down the road is downtown Dunedin, an eclectic collection of unique shops, bars, local breweries, restaurants and outdoor art. Every waterfront vacation home is a fully furnished, 2 bedroom/1 bath condo-style unit and comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen, linens, towels, Cable/HBO, Wi-Fi, DVD player, on-site washer and dryer and much more. Outdoor amenities include your own personal boat to use as you please, bicycles (2), shared dock, private deck/balcony, fishing rods, BBQ grills and plenty more. Good location, family friendly

Worked really well as a place to stay between checking out all the area has to offer. Loved watching the dolphins in the channel.

Great location

The property is in a quiet and beautiful location on the waterway. The owner, Dean, was around each day to check in and was extremely friendly and available if we needed anything. Great spot to go to the causeway each morning for a walk or go to the bike trail for a ride.

Great spot, great hosts and a wonderful dog , Samson that I got to visit with. Just super hosts!

Property super well appointed, had everything we needed. Only disappointment were the bikes. Not user friendly but having a boat more than made up for it.

Clean and comfortable with great water views.

We only needed one bedroom but liked having the extra room, living room is spacious, dinning room takes up entire porch - lots of room all with water views. Had drinks on the back outside patio while watching the water birds. So much to do in the area never got to use the boat - maybe next time.

Exactly What We Needed

Captain's Quarters provided the perfect place for a desperately needed rest. Dean and Susie are wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming and had helpful insights into the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat and fishing. It was awesome catching fish that we later grilled. We highly recommend Captain's Quarters.

Lots of plusses with this one

As advertised, easy access to Honeymoon Island and the Pinellas Trail, and Dean provided passes to the state park and bikes and boats to borrow so you are all set. Beautiful deck and porch looking down on the dock - a wonderful place to eat meals if you don't feel like heading out to any of the many restaurants nearby. And with a Publix grocery store within walking distance that is an easy option. After an initial miscommunication, Dean was available and very helpful. Definitely would recommend this place. I guess it goes without saying, but if you are mobility challenged, make sure you get one of the ground floor units.

Large Open 2BR condo on Canal with boat

This condo in on a quiet canal 6 miles north of Clearwater FL. The bedrooms are small, BUT the living area is large with full kitchen, living and dining areas connecting to a 12x20 ft deck overlooking the canal. The deck access includes 3 full glass sliding doors with views of the canal. The rental comes with exclusive use of a 16' fishing boat. What a treat it was to explore the area or fish at your leisure. Our host was the best! He was responsive and helpful anytime we needed assistance. He also visited the condo property daily to ensure we had everything we need.

Amazing Beautiful Vacation

My husband and myself absolutely love vacationing in Dunedin. When we visit we stay at Captains Quarters . This year we were surprised to find that there were new owners. Well, where to begin, the new owners are awesome ! Lance the new owner was there to greet us upon arrival with a friendly welcome. Gave us a walk around and instructions on the boat / boating . Also , if we had any questions we could contact him . We were very impressed with the cleanliness our rental. We enjoyed watching the dolphins, fishing off the dock, and most of all boating to the islands ! We definitely are looking forward to our trip again next year ! Thank you again Lance & Sandie for helping to make our vacation memories

Lovely week, fun boat

We spent a week here and really enjoyed it. Capt Alex and Janet were managing it and were always accessible. He took us out to check us out in the smaller of the 2 sizes of boat, showed us how to get around in the Sound, etc. Very knowledgeable! The couch could use some updating but the appliances worked and there was plenty of room to sit with a view inside and out. Plenty of linens and kitchen supplies, but no lighter stick for the grill so we bought one. The boat and lift worked fine but could maybe use a little updating. We had a lot of fun going to the islands and just puttering around the Sound. Met people in all the other 3 units and all seemed to be having a great time. Thank you!

Absolutely the Best!

We had the greatest stay we've ever had in FL here at Captain's Quarters. This was our first time in Dunedin but this place made our stay the absolutely best stay ever! Dean, the owner, was so kind and helpful. You could definitely tell he cared so much about whether or not your stay was a good one. Everything was so clean!! The house was put together very well and you can tell has had some updates. We were so happy to be on the channel, fish off the dock, and even have birds come and visit on the dock. There are restaraunts and bait shops within walking distance and so much more! The boat was a bonus! There were water floats and other things available to use and bikes. Dunedin is also close to many things. Honeymoon island and all the little islands were beautiful and so so close. We traveled to Medeira Beach and Clearwater to visit family and friends and it was very easy to get to. We also headed to ZooTampa and Busch Gardens and again, was very easy to get to. I highly recommend Captain's Quarters. Now one of our favorites places.

Great place on the water

A very comfortable place, right on the water, with access to your own boat. My daughters and I used the boat to explore several islands, and had a great time.

La casa está bien ubicada y tiene bicicletas y un bote para usar por los huéspedes, está muy cerca de la playa y tienes una tarjeta que te permite la entrada al parque sin costo. Tuvimos una pronta comunicación con el dueño y él nos solucionó prontamente nuestra solicitud.

Great vacation!

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation staying at the captains quarters. The condo was very clean and the location was great! We enjoyed taking the boat out to Caladesi Island and relaxing in the sun. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thanks Dean for everything!

Perfect location

This property has an ideal location to enjoy the area of Dunedin. Just over the causeway to the beach, Pinellas Bike Trail and minutes to great dining. The owner also provides bikes, kayaks and beach passes for use during the stay.

The property was lovely and clean. Dean and Susie were outstanding hosts who answered every call quickly and addressed any problems immediately. So wonderful to be on a canal where dolphins, fish and even manatees hung out. Needless to say, the boats were a big hit.
