We would 100% recommend! The location to Gordes cannot be beat, the house is lovely and well kept, and the pool was wonderful! Valerie was very responsive and communicative our whole stay. If you’re going to Provence book this house!

Perfect place to stay - 3 double beds / bedrooms - marvellous small garden, great swimming pool… we loved the place and the area is beautiful !10min ride to Gordes, Senanque, 20mins to Roussillon, L’Isle sur la Sorgue - central to all the beautiful Luberon villages.

Truly a magnificent stay. Absolutely beautiful and host was kind, communicative and has a beautiful home. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing retreat near all of the beauty Gordes and surrounding area has.

Hello Emilien, I’m thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the fact that I state that the pool is heated has never posed a problem with guests. When you read the information about the house, it states clearly that firstly the pool is open in May and secondly there is a daily charge for heating the pool. I explained it to you . I did not mislead you or any guest. I’m often a bit lax about reading information but I do take responsibility for that because I didn’t read everything. Thanks for the otherwise lovely review.

This was exactly what we hoped it would be - a charming, quiet place to stay, spending mornings touring local villages and afternoons by the pool. It is very comfortable and well equipped and the pool is very refreshing (it was 90 degrees every day of our stay).

Overall, the house lived up to our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. However, there are a couple of things worth mentioning for future guests. One of the bathrooms is located inside one of the bedrooms, while the other bathroom can only be accessed by going through the downstairs bedroom. This may be something to consider depending on the group and the level of privacy required.We also experienced some initial difficulties receiving the instructions for accessing the property. The host took some time to send the necessary information, but we eventually received all the instructions and were able to access the property without any further issues.

Thanks so much for your review. Glad you were happy with your stay. Guests enjoy the house and have not been unhappy with the bathroom being located in the bedroom. Regarding the ground floor bathroom, this is a lovely en-suite for the person sleeping in the ground floor bedroom. I think people don't mind sharing it in the day-time. Its a small inconvenience perhaps but no-one has complained so I guess it works fine for most people.. As to the difficulty I had sending the welcome pack, I initially sent it one week or more before your stay as I always do but it just didn't reach your inbox. I have never had this issue in over 20 years of hosting. I think it's a technology problem. As you know I kept sending it over and over. I was aware that it was a little stressful for you. Finally, WhatsApp saved the day in time. I hope you were able to book some of my recommendations,

Beautiful spot for a relaxing holiday

This is a beautiful house with a stunning town on the doorstep. We loved our early morning walks to the town for coffee, incredible views and collecting delicious fresh, local goodies for days by the pool. The weather was so hot we didn’t explore that much, but had a fantastic and relaxing stay.

Peaceful place/great location

Really enjoyed the property. Quaint villa property off the beaten path in the beautiful town of Gordes. Perfect location to explore the area. House is very comfortable and in great shape. Off season so didn't get to enjoy the pool but would be the perfect place to relax . Owner was very helpful and nice.

Exceptional stay

Would give 10 stars if I could- wonderful stay. The house was so clean and well prepared for us. Felt luxury rustic. There was great detail put into the design. Easy communication with the owner. Great location down a picturesque street and easy to get in and out of Gordes town. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in Belle Du Jour

We had a great stay in Belle du Jour. The house was beautiful and had all you could ask for a family of four. It was incredibly hot while we were there so we found ourselves spending most of our time in the pool, which was lovely. Valerie was also very helpful and the location in the heart of the Luberon is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Oasis in Provence

The house is beautiful and spacious, lots of room to spread out. Garden beautiful and peaceful. Location close to town but far enough away to be very quiet. Loved the beverage station and large dining table. Lots of light in the living area, wifi and TV great and easy to use.

Beautiful and well-appointed house. Very private with beautiful garden and pool. Perfect for two couples. Larger groups might find only two toilets to be inconvenient, and one of the three showers wasn’t working while we were there.

Provence at it's finest

The property was fantastic. An excellent location for exploring all the towns and villages of Provence. My wife and I stayed for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed the charm of the home as well as the pool. The farmhouse was nicely private yet was very close to the roads around Gordes and surrounding countryside. We took advantage of frequenting several of the restaurants nearby, but we also would eat some dinners at the house using the very homey long dinner table in the kitchen. Overall, our stay was wonderful ... I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding home base to see Provence.
