Cozy cottage on Cedar Lake

Experience lake life at its best at this cozy lakeside retreat. The cabin is located only 50 minutes from the twin cities on Cedar Lake. If you enjoy amazing sunsets, good fishing or water activities this is the place to be! You will find great lake views from the cabin, an expansive outdoor deck and a new 96' aluminum dock to put you where the fishing is best. One of our favorite activities that you will likely want to do is get in the water and enjoy the fun by walking, paddling or floating to the nearby sunken sandbar island where folks gather to chat and play.
The cabin has 1 bedroom on the main floor with queen size bed, a loft with 2 twin beds and a full-size pull out in the living area. The cabin has one bathroom, large dining area, comfortable living room with TV, and a kitchen that is fully equipped for all your cooking needs ( Gas grill included). For those that need extra space, included is the boat house that has a wonderful view of the lake from its living space (less than 20' away), and full over twin bunk beds.

Rental includes, a fire pit, two paddle boards, two kayaks, canoe (21'), corn hole, giant jenga, and many other games for your entertainment .

Lake Information:
Cedar Lake is a 1120 acre lake located in Polk, Saint Croix Counties. It has a maximum depth of 32 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky (common), Panfish (present), Largemouth Bass (Present), Northern Pike (common) and Walleye (abundant). The lake's water clarity is low.

This property was so amazing for my family. The cabin is perfect for a family with younger kids, everything in the cabin was labeled, attention to detail was amazing. The Lake is great and we really enjoyed hanging out on the sandbar. I can not say enough good things about our experience! Will defiantly be coming back next summer!

Nice family cabin retreat

Great accommodation!

Owners were great at keeping us updated prior to our stay as well during. The cabin was an excellent fit for our get together including the bunk house. Had easy access to the lake via the cabin or public landing.

It did get warm till the afternoon best little vacation we had

An excellent place to relax, decompress, enjoy the scenery and the lake. Had good food on the barbecue and it was close to everything . Love the little town . Very comfortable cabin. We enjoyed this very much and hoping we will be back.

Amazing

We had a great time and enjoying lake life this week! The cabin was very clean and the boat house was the perfect hangout for my kids! We have decided we need to make this an annual trip:) Would highly recommend this little piece of heaven.

Weekend getaway

Great place to take children. The cabin was cozy, kitchen had updated appliances, everything you need to cook and eat. The dock offered a wonderful place to sit and watch sunset. Definitely need more than a weekend to enjoy!!!

Family getaway

The cabin is in a perfect spot to get away and relax. It is close to the sandbar and has all the amenities needed. There are kayaks, paddle boards and games. The boathouse is awesome for extra sleeping and has a beautiful window to view the lake. The host is very accommodating. We recommend and will rent again!

Great Lake cabin!

This cabin provided us with everything that we could have imagined. It was a truly authentic lake cabin, with all the modern conveniences. There was plenty of outdoor space to play and relax. The lake was beautiful, morning coffee on the dock was the best. We hope to come again in the future!! Rent this cabin, your family will thank you!!

Cedar Lake Getaway

Great cabin and bunk house along with a large lot on beautiful Cedar Lake. Check in was great, the owner met and went over how to use the pontoon boat and had it all clean and gassed up for us. The large deck overlooking the lake is where we spent all of our time when we weren't fishing (which is you like crappies) was amazing. Kitchen is easy to cook in and had everything we need. Owner are so helpful and the cabin and bunk house are great. Thank you again.

A Beautiful fun home and lake that has it all.

First I want to say what a gift it is to be able to stay at a property this nice. The home and boat house had everything you would ever need and more, the property is level and fantastic. The lake frontage is flat and easy access, shallow with sand. The deck and use of all the fun things the owners have to use along with life jackets and games. The hosts are easy to reach and are just amazing people. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for just the best stay.

Sweet cabin on the lake with great sunsets, and very peaceful.

Really great owners very easy to deal with. Only 45mins from Minneapolis, so fabulous for a quick getaway. The house had all the amenities we needed and was very tidy. We had a very nice winter stay, but I can imagine how awesome this place would be In the summer too. Really nice lake and right off the sandbar, fantastic for ice fishing, skiing and snowshoeing. Easy access to snowmobile trails and restaurants/bars. Really affordable, place was a great for entertaining our guests over the holiday season. A Romatic place to sit by a fire and watch the snow fall too. Thanks for a very nice stay we had a great time.

We, are a crazy busy family of four that absolutely enjoy staying at our cabin year around with our young kids, friends and family. Having a cabin on a lake less than an hour from our twin cities house was a dream for both my wife and I since we were married. We both really enjoy water sports, and before we purchased our cabin cherished every opportunity we had to spend in or on the water. Since purchasing the cabin we have spent nearly every summer weekend here to relax, get-away and have fun with the kids and during spring, fall and winter we visit as often as our busy schedule allows. We enjoy it here so much, we hope to some-day make this a place we can ultimately retire and relax.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We loved the size and functions of Cedar lake and with the close proximity of the cabin and bunkhouse to the lake it offers great views and sunsets. The cabin has a nice level lot meaning NO steps or hills to the dock or lake. Directly in front of the cabin and off the end of the dock, the water depth is only 27" deep with a comfortable sandy bottom creating a great place for children to play while being supervised from the deck. Lastly, the cabin is situated towards the end of the point meaning a low traffic road, which was a benefit while children play on the driveway.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Close to the cities, but not overly known (or busy) - this is a convenient get-away from our normal "city" life that has truly let us focus on having fun family time. We have enjoyed spending time at the sunken sandbar - as it is a unique gathering place for relaxing, meeting others, or catching a game of water volleyball. The restaurant on the lake has let us be lazy, on occasion when we don't want to cook. Lastly, the flat lot, has allowed for endless hours of yard games, lake-side campfires, and sunset viewing.
