This gorgeous 3,400 sq. ft. custom home is tucked away at the end of a private drive, great for that Alaskan adventure, or a homebase for a family event.

(2500 square feet available for guests, garage not available)

The house has a built-in sound system with Bluetooth and Sonos. LED lit agate countertop. The Master suite includes a California King and an air jetted tub. Two of the 3 bathrooms have double sinks to help get families out the door together! Our property has a large, manicured lawn surrounded by woods, so you feel like you have lots of privacy, yet it is only a short 5-minute drive from downtown Palmer and many attractions nearby. Our hammock, patio, firepit, and playset will make a family want to just hangout around the house all day long. The house also has an incredible surround sound system throughout the main living area of the house and a separate sound system for the master suite. The lighting is also quite versatile, with dimmer switches, undermount lighting in kitchen, motion sensor lights in walkways, and blackout blinds and curtains in bedrooms.

Local attractions include: local hiking, the reindeer farm, musk ox farm, Alaska State Fair, Knik and Matanuska Glacier, Palmer's local farmer's market Friday Fling, and many wonderful curiosity shops.

Only a short 5 minutes out of Palmer, 20 minutes to Wasilla, and 50 minutes to Anchorage.

No smoking or pets allowed.

Plenty of Room - Quiet Location

Easy drive to Wasilla for work

Business group working in Wasilla for the week that stays 200+ days a year in hotels. We were looking for something a little different and this was a great property for us. Would definitely book again, not just for work, but for my next family vacation as well.

Beautiful private house

We stayed her for a weekend during the State Fair and I cannot express enough how perfect our weekend was! The house was beautiful, very spacious, very clean and had everything we needed! The owners were very prompt to responding. I loved the chickens too! And can we talk about the scenery, it was BEAUTIFUL! I would highly recommend this house and would stay again. Thank you for making our family get together everything we wanted!

Palmer trip, late May

Awesome house with great mountain views only a short drive to Palmer! Super comfortable for our group of 6. Quiet end of the road location. House was well stocked for cooking and all the appliances were very nice. The beds got good reviews from all in my group. Communication with the host, Laurie, for check-in/check-out was a breeze. I will definitely look to stay here again if a future Palmer trip is in the cards.

A modern home with beautiful mountain views

This house had everything and more. We had 3 adults and 3 children aged 7 to 12. The town of Palmer is centrally located for day trips in any direction. The beds were very comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was great. The kitchen was well stocked and laid out well, with all the large and small appliances anyone would need. Towels and blankets and paper goods were plentiful. The farm-fresh hens’ eggs were available to us and very tasty. Five stars and highly recommend all the way!

Beautiful home in fantastic location

The overall home was exactly what we needed and was beautiful. The views of the mountains in the distance were spectacular and one of the highlights was seeing a moose walking through the front yard early one morning. Blackout curtains in all the rooms were a definite help for sleeping during the summer when the sun doesn't fully set and definitely helped our kids fall asleep faster. Great location, only minutes away from Fred Meyer (Alaskan version of Kroger), which made grocery shopping easy. Also near some pretty good local restaurants and easy access to the highways. Ideal location for those wishing to visit Denali and Seward, as it's situated approximately halfway between both.

Great for family

With family and friends, we stayed one week for a family wedding. Clean, quiet, saw moose in the yard, picked raspberries and the kids played on the outdoor equipment. Communication was great with the owners as they ended up next door during our stay. We could meet them and they meet us. Only wish we had more time to leave the home in the same manner we found it- sorry… we didn’t get all the dishes done, Laurie.

Beautiful home & view

We loved our stay at Lazy Mountain. The house was beautiful & the view just as much so. Plenty of room for all us in and out of the house. The communication with the owners was so easy & natural. The town of Palmer was very charming.

Beautiful house!

Beautiful house on a beautiful property with lots of windows. Nice location, quiet. Even the chickens were quiet :-) It's a good place to spread out. Tastefully decorated. Lots of kitchen and bathroom counter space, spacious fridge/freezer, nice washer/dryer super clean. The towels provided were really nice. The only complaint we had was that the 3 beds downstairs were as hard as a rock. Which is fine if only children will be sleeping on them. Also, there wasn't any side tables/dressers, etc. to put our luggage, mobile phones and other items on. So our suitcases were on the floor. The hostess was friendly and had good suggestions on where to shop, etc. Overall, we would recommend this property.

Perfect For Kiddos

We had a wonderful time at this very beautiful and clean property! It is set up so perfectly for families traveling with kiddos and real feels like a home away from home. It was super clean and we loved the openness of the layout. The kids LOVED the bunk beds and strawberry picking! I loved the running trail which goes along side of the highway. The house really made our vacation. Laurie was quick to respond to questions I had and was easy to work with! Thank you!!

A place for our family

Finding a place in the area that was mosquito-free was an added bonus. During the heat wave, we were able to enjoy the outside as well as the beautiful inside!

Great Location for Family with small kids

The property was just as described, great location. Very clean, newer house. Great location if you have smaller children, my son and daughter did not want to leave. Would stay here again if we have the opportunity.

We designed and built this home ourselves. It has custom attributes that hint at our love for natural beauty; cathedral ceilings with very large windows to take in the beauty of the mountains, Acacia wood flooring in the loft, and Brazilian agates inlaid in kitchen and bathroom counters.
