Welcome to Toes in the Water at Lake Gaston.

From the moment you walk through the front door, you'll be greeted with stunning lake views through expansive windows and glass doors. On the main level is a large great room with gas fireplace. Enjoy preparing family meals in the fully stocked kitchen or grilling on the 6-burner Weber grill. Plenty of seating is available for everyone to gather for meals. Relax in the screen porch located off the dining room - the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wildlife watching, including visits from the neighborhood heron.

The master suite has sliders to the deck and a private bathroom with large shower and custom cabinets.

Also located on the main level is a half-bath and laundry.

The kids will love to hang downstairs in the rec room with wet bar, 2nd fridge, ping pong table, TV, sectional and pub table for game night.

There are 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms downstairs. 2 bedrooms are lake facing each with en-suite access to a bathroom. 1 bathroom has a shower, the 2nd a tub/shower combo. All bedrooms have comfortable mattresses with multiple types of pillows for your comfort. Dressers and closets are available to store your belongings during your stay.

Towels (for indoor use) & linens are included.

Just steps from the house, the boathouse is the ultimate lake hangout. Enjoy jumping off the dock or floating in the calm waters of the large cove. The boathouse features a large shaded area with table/seating, a bar with mini-fridge and stools, 4 kayaks, and plenty of room for enjoying the water which is 7-8 ft deep at the end of the dock. The boathouse has rope lighting that makes for a great spot to relax after the sun goes down. The boathouse has 5 bumper posts and 2 mooring cleats on each side for securing boats. While the house is located in NC, the VA border is within sight. There are several natural areas up Poplar Creek within a short kayak trip, including an island, making for fun areas to explore on a kayak trip from NC to VA and back.

Off the water, enjoy the many outside seating areas, smores at the firepit, or a game of cornhole. For rainy days or a break from the outdoors, plenty of games & books are available and multiple streaming services to enjoy a movie or your favorite show.

The nearest boat ramp is the Poplar Creek Boat Ramp about 3.5 miles by car from the house. Boat rentals are also available near the boat ramp at Poplar Pointe Marine. Take a trip for lunch or dinner by boat or car to the Shady Shack located up Poplar Creek, also near the boat ramp. There are more lake-side restaurants on the lake, approximately a 5 mile boat ride to One Eyed Jack(coming soon) and WatersView restaurant. For a nearby off-shore excursion, the Rosemont Winery is only 4 miles away by car and Poplar Creek Farm is near-by in Bracey.
