Wonderful home on beautiful Rock Lake!

Amazing vacation destination! Enjoy this 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom 2860 square foot lake home on beautiful Rock Lake. This wonderful lake home features walls of windows to capture amazing lake views from almost every room. Our home has plenty of space for being together, a rec room, game room, screened-in gazebo, and a fire pit near the lake. We can accommodate 14 (8 adults max, sleeping double). A big yard has room for outdoor activities and a level walkout to the lake with 96 feet of lake frontage. We have high speed wireless internet so if you are working from home, why not make this your home for a week?!
Large living room with beautiful views of Rock Lake. King size bed in the primary bedroom, queen size beds in bedrooms 2 and 3, three sets of bunk beds in the 4th bedroom bunk room to accommodate up to 6 children, and a full futon in the rec room. We do not store things in the dressers and closets so there is plenty of room for your things. You do not have to live out of your suitcase! A spacious kitchen offers sit down dining for the whole crew. We have a large pantry and cupboards that are available so you can stock up on groceries to minimize your trips to the store and maximize your time at the lake! Propane and charcoal grills are located right outside the dining room. The rec room provides plenty of additional space and a game room off of the garage has an air hockey table. We also have 2 kayaks, a pedal boat and life jackets for use while using them. Whether you're looking for a change of scenery, to relax in a quiet peaceful setting or you are excited to fill your days with swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating and local activities, our home is a great backdrop for your family vacation on Rock Lake. Bring your own boat or rent one and dock it on our pier (the pier is in from mid-May until the first weekend in October) . We are situated on a dead-end road on the southern shore of the lake and have parking for 4 vehicles and a boat trailer. The location offers beautiful views, a sandy bottom for swimming, and is ideal for fishing, kayaking, or boating from our private pier. This affordable vacation destination is a wonderful place to make memories and get away from it all.
Rock Lake is a 1365 acre lake with 4 public boat landings (one right on our road) and 2 public beaches. The lake boasts clear water clarity.
Rock Lake is located in Lake Mills, which is a charming lake community featuring a picturesque downtown square surrounded by shops and restaurants. Lake Mills is home to Aztalan State Park, bike trails, and wildlife areas.
Our home is ideally situated minutes from the Glacial Drumlin State Trail and Korth Park and approximately 1 hour from the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Enjoy the Glacial Drumlin State Trail which stretches for 52 miles through farmlands and glacial topography. The trail travels through 10 small towns from Cottage Grove to Waukesha. The trail is open to walking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and in-line skating. The Glacial Drumlin State Trail also connects to numerous miles of county snowmobile trails.
The Glacial Drumlin State Trail corridor is open to hunting for the 3,600-foot, re-routed section of the trail within the Lake Mills State Wildlife Area. Portions of the trail property in the town of Lake Mills and the town of Aztalan are open to hunting and trapping during the Wisconsin state parks hunting time frame.
You can access 89 acre Korth Park from Elm Point Road. Korth Park is situated on the shore of Rock Lake and offers a sweeping view of Rock Lake from the top of a glacial drumlin dominating the center of the property. This park includes an 8-acre restored oak savanna, 60+ acres of tall grass prairies. Korth Park is an excellent location to either host large events in the pavilion and shelter, or just enjoy a picnic and playground in the park. For those interested in hiking and running, the park offers 3 miles of mowed trail system as well as a gravel path along the lake that connects to the Glacial Drumlin Trail. During the winter months, the trails are groomed for classic style cross country skiing and the hill to the east of Korth Pavilion is great for sledding. The park also offers great opportunities for simply viewing wildlife or enjoying a moment of solitude in your busy life!
For those seeking to explore outside of Lake Mills, additional restaurants, shopping, and dinner theatre are available in Cambridge and Fort Atkinson, which are a short 15-30 minute drive. Enjoy a scenic hike, mountain biking, or cross-country skiing on the trails within 422 acre CamRock County Park. Bike rentals are available from the Cambridge bike store. The Johnson Creek Premium Outlet Mall is 25 minutes away and downtown Madison is a 35 min drive. Sportsmen will appreciate the Milford Hills Hunting Club. Located 25 minutes away, it’s an easy drive to one of the Midwest's premier hunt clubs and wing-shooting destinations. Enjoy a demolition derby and stock car races at the Jefferson County Speedway.
Watch the seasons change from spring, summer, fall, or winter, since the community offers year round activities. Swim, kayak, fish, or relax in the sun during the summer. Autumn offers gorgeous foliage throughout the area along with hiking, hunting, and fishing.
