The fully stocked kitchen, equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances, makes it easy to prepare delicious meals during your stay.

After a day of exploring the nearby Cataloochee Ski Area, just a 22-minute drive away, or the Wheels Through Time Museum, just a 4-minute drive from your doorstep, you can unwind in the soothing hot tub or enjoy a game night with the provided video games and other entertainment. The Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, just a 5-minute drive away, offer a variety of events and activities to enjoy.

Nice home in gated community. Host was appropriately communicative. Property was clean. Don't let steep roads through the neighborhood scare you - parking at property is flat with easy access into the house.

This cabin was exactly perfect for our patry of 3. It was exactly as described in Vrbo and owner couldn't have been any nicer. It had everything we needed for our weeks stay including a very nice hot tub! Would definitely recommend for a couple or small family.

We could not have picked a better cabin to stay in!! The Lazy Bear was not only beautiful, but had absolutely everything we needed and more!!! And we were some comfy and cozy!! Jane was a wonderful host, very responsive and welcoming! We are very pleased with our stay and look forward to returning to the Lazy Bear

Maggie Valley stay

2nd time we have stayed at this cottage. Great location and layout, close to everything. Very clean with the benefit if a gas grill and hot tub. We gave it 5 stars.

Cozy cabin with a convenient location to Cataloochee

Great little cabin with convenient location. We skied Cataloochee one day and took a day trip to Asheville the next. Easy access to both! The price point and location were the reason we stayed. Great value!

Very peaceful and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The cabin is very nice and inviting. Very clean too. We felt relaxed and comfortable as soon as we walked in. It's a perfect size for 2 or 4 people. We would defiantly stay again.

Nice and quite

I loved this place and how clean and quite. It’s close to the hikes, and Asheville as well. The only thing that I wished for is the cabin to be far enough form the neighbors but that was on me for not checking before actually reserving this place but I enjoyed this place and would recommend it.

Great Escape

My family and I had a wonderful time. The place was awesome. Beat our high expectations. Will definitely stay here again. Cabin is more than big enough for a family of 4 and cozy at the same time. Couldn't have found a better place for our mountain escape. Close to skiing and tube world.

Lazy Bear was more than we even anticipated. The cabin is beautiful, impeccably clean, with a well-stocked kitchen full of items you’d need for a stay. Relaxing in the hot tub while looking at a clear sky full of stars was worth every single penny to book this cabin. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone!

Girls Weekend Perfection

Loved the cabin, the amenities and the location. Just didn't care to put trash in my car at the end. Other than that it was perfect!

Thank you Mel. As what was stated in the check-in nstructions, the community has no garbage pick up. As well as other locations in the city. I also mentioned if you are not agreeable to the trash drop off at a very convenient place (on the way out) to communicate with me and we can make other arrangements. But I was not aware of your concern until after check out. I could have addressed that if you voiced your concerns early on. But thanks for staying!

My late husband and I lived in Western North Carolina for more than 20 years. My job moved me to Atlanta but I always considered WNC as home. I keep coming back -- until I found Lazy Bear and fell in love with her at first sight. It is so peaceful, love spending time here... and I know you will as well.

I still work and live in Atlanta, however I always look forward to coming home to Lazy Bear when I can.
