Nestled in the mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest, this dog-friendly cabin sits directly on Turniptown Creek. It is located in and near the hub of a gated community and features shared amenities including a pool, tennis courts, a library, miles of hiking trails, and four different lakes. Relax outside on your choice of patios/decks and soak in your private hot tub while you enjoy the rolling melodies of the creek with plenty of privacy from the neighbors. On the inside, enjoy updated, cozy decor sprinkled with antiques and original art.

If getting out and about is your thing, you’re in luck! Just seven miles from this cabin, Downtown Ellijay offers a number of restaurants, stores, and fantastic antique shops. Blue Ridge is just 15 miles to the north and offers even more shopping and culinary opportunities. There are also numerous orchards and vineyards within 20 miles of this location. Additional outdoor activities abound in this neck of the woods including rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain bike trails, and fishing. Bring your fly-rod and you may just snag a trout or bass out of the creek!

The cabin matched the description very well. The hot tub and sitting by the creek was my favorite part! I was scared to drive on the road at night so be weary of that, and the parking was very steep. I would definitely stay here when I need to go in North Georgia.

The home was very comfortable. The bathrooms are on the small side and we were sorry that there wasn’t a fire pit on the deck.

BEWARE. VERY DISAPPOINTING! I have never given a poor review in many, many VRBO stays, but here you go! VACASA DOESN'T CHECK OR MAINTAIN HOME! The heat didn't work. Called maintenance and he couldn't get it to work. House never over 60, fireplace on, no heat. I had to close flue. No throws anywhere in house and an 84 year old freezing. HVAC system clearly not maintained. Hot tub didn't work - entire reason for choosing this home. Water very low (6" low), 35 and panel said DRY. Will NEVER RENT FROM VACASA AGAIN.

The bathrooms were clean but the rest of the house, especially the porches and decks need a really good cleaning. The “half bath” downstairs is a sink and shower no toilet, making staying down there difficult. The upstairs “shower” was only waist high. There appears to be some water damage to the wall behind the queen bed on the main floor. Overall it was okay but needs some TLC.

Overall the stay was very enjoyable and I would stay there again. However, we were not provided the gate code prior to arrival, so we had to go back out to the main road for cell signal to call customer service. After they contacted the local "help desk" they were able to provide. He was very nice and helpful. The only other negative comment would be the musty smell. They had dehumidifiers running upstairs and down, but they filled up daily. We kept them emptied, but perhaps some that drain to the outside would be wise as I'm sure someone is not there to empty daily. Beautiful stream, easy to walk right down to the stream and close to run back to town for any needs that might arise. I would give it a 3.5-4 overall rating

My family had a great weekend trip. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed, despite being a little older. The hot tub was nice and my son loved playing in the creek. Be sure you know your gate code before you get up to the property, because you probably won’t have cell signal at the gate. I had gotten the gate code via text earlier in the day, but did not realize it because I had been so busy at work. So just check your phone.

The location was beautiful. We loved the creek. The cabin was nice, but not very well cared for. We couldn’t walk around in the house without shoes on. The floor was filthy. The couch was also dirty. The counters felt sticky. Our headboard in our room was supposed to be white. I just wish they could have washed floors and baseboards. Just dirty. The outside of the cabin had sooo many cobwebs. Housekeeping could have taken a broom to them before arrival at least. Maybe spray down the deck. I would stay again if the place was properly cleaned because it’s a great location. I wish I could leave a more positive review. But it was dirty. Replacing some pillows and rugs would help.

Just book it already!

We loved the creek the most! We spent everyday we were there in the creek playing! The property even provided tubes to float with! Althought the water gets shallow in some places, you can almost ride the entire length from property line to property line! It was an absolute blast and an experience my family and I will never forget! Thanks for the memories Creek Haven!

Super cute cabin with a great location right on the creek. Enough amenities to keep the kids entertained, and felt like our own slice of privacy even though the cabins next door aren’t too far. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with cooking pots, pans, utensils, and appliances.

The downstairs game room was super fun to keep our teens entertained. The location next to the creek was awesome, and enough shade throughout the day that we could sit outside any time!

Great weekend getaway!

We had a great time. As we entered on check in there was deer in the yard. The creek was so peaceful. The kids enjoyed having the downstairs with the games.

A Tranquil Escape

I loved this house. It felt like I was miles away from civilization even though there was a street across the creek. Yes, it’s next a street but there is hardly any traffic, people are driving slowly, and it in no way took away from the tranquility of the nature sounds. The screened in porch was my happy place and some times I would have to double check to see if it was raining because the creek was so loud (it was glorious). The set up of the house was adorable and gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked and the fridge, clean. The accent lights inside and outside were cozy and the motion flood lights were bright and made us feel safe at night. The gate code worked perfectly and knowing we were in a gated community made us feel safe as well. The outside porch was enclosed and a great place to sit with our friends. I read another review where a guy was complaining about lack of blinds and people seeing inside. While there are no blinds, I feel most people are too concerned with driving on the road and not into the creek to be looking in windows as they pass by. If they did, I hope they enjoyed Lincoln Lawyer. Oh, and our first comment when we walked in was “I love how it smells like a cabin!” I look forward to staying here in the future!

Right next to road/strong urine smell

When we pulled up to the property we were in a little shock as it looked like no one has been there in a while. The VERY first thing you notice is the road is literally right on the other side of the stream, you could throw a rock and hit the cars driving by. I didn’t go inside right away as I let my wife and friends out and I had to run back to the store a few miles away to get cell phone reception so I could change my voicemail so everyone would know I had no reception and to reach me by email since the house does have Wi-Fi. Every car that drives by can see you on the back porch, in the hot tub or inside the house, and there are not even ANY blinds or curtains to block people from seeing through ALL the windows on the back of the home. When I was coming back from store I could literally see everyone inside the living room clearly and probably could have seen a roach on the wall since that’s how close the road is to the house. Once I got back I finally went inside and immediately my wife and friends were looking at me in disgust and told me to come sit on the couch. I don’t have the best since of smell but once I got in the living room I could smell a very very strong urine smell. We lifted up the rug and noticed that it had stains all over the underside and the Smell of fermented urine slaps you in the face. The whole house also had that old stake house smell along with urine in the main areas. The air hockey table didn’t even have a good puck to play with.

Beautiful creekside property

Creek and property were beautiful. House interestingly decorated and serviceable. Some problems however: —-access code for gate was never sent. Had to call central office to get it —- property info stresses key lock box and location. Tried and tried to use lock code on it. Finally realized code was for door lock and lock box served no function — TV had list of channels. But we could only get streaming to work; no network. As we were leaving note hdmi cable was unplugged. Should have been checked before arrival. — we were asked to leave trash in outdoors can. This can did not exit So nice property and interesting home. Would stay there again but better communication is definitely needed.

Spring Stay

A quaint cabin on a beautiful stream. The cabin seemed old compared to other VRBO cabins that we have stayed in the north Georgia mountains. We had trouble getting the cabin door open with the codes provided. We had no cell service and had to drive a couple of miles from the cabin to contact the facility management company managing the property to get additional door codes and the code to the lock box that finally opened the door. The cleaning crew had not emptied the dishwasher and the counter still has sugar or salt laying on top of it when we finally got into the cabin. We did enjoy the large TV in the family room. We did have a relaxing stay listening to the creek.

Great home on a lovely creek!

This house was very comfortable for my husband, myself and our dog. We loved the creek and the feeling of being "out in the woods" without being remote! The kitchen was nicely updated. It's just missing some wine glasses - so bring your own! Also, don't expect any kitchen prep materials - aluminum foil, salt, pepper, etc. So just be prepared! It has plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc. and paper towels, dish soap, etc. are provided. The upstairs deck was a great place to sit in the evening and enjoy the sounds of the creek, but I had to clean it and the furniture before using! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would return!
