Historic Carriage House East Battery with off street parking!!

Location of the Carriage House at 21 East Battery St. (across from Charleston Harbor) is in the historic residential area of the city.
The roomy interiors of the Carriage House have original beamed ceilings, heart-pine floors and a second-floor balcony. Original exposed brick walls. Furnishings include attractive antiques as well as comfortable couches and luxury bedding for a restful Charleston stay. With a California king sized bed in the former hayloft, the carriage house is ideal for one couple and can also accommodate a second couple (willing to share the bathroom) with a queen sized sleeper sofa in the large upstairs sitting room. Free WIFI, Xfinity cable television, Stereo system,

Additional Charge of $75 per person for more than two adults or children over the age of 13. Maximum adult occupancy is 4. Parties, events and gatherings of ANY type are not permitted. Short term rental permit does not allow this activity in this residential area.

Carriage House Accommodations include:
Kitchenette pre-stocked with continental breakfast items, coffee and tea. Central heating and air conditioning. Baby Grand Piano. Daily housekeeping service including trash removal. Complimentary off street parking is available for ONE car or small SUV. Oversized vans or trucks will not fit.

The Carriage House is truly awesome! So clean. Julie, the Host, is terrific! She will bake and cook for you every morning! The shower is great! The bed is comfortable. And the location is perfect! Especially if you love The Battery. We will definitely stay here again!Picture of Hubby in one of the chairs after a fun day of adventure.

One of the most exceptional stays we've had. The property manager, Julie, is delightful and explained everything. We appreciated all the small touches from the bug spray, to fresh-baked muffins and fresh fruit to the softest plush towels.It's a wonderful area to sight see with majestic views. We enjoyed the estate tour and learning the history of the home and area. There were dozens of incredible restaurants just a few blocks north in the French Quarter.The Carriage House was exactly as described and included everything needed for a short stay. Highly recommend. We can't wait to come back!

It was an honor to stay at such a beautiful historical residence. The location was fabulous for being immersed in historical district of Charleston. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks to and from the carriage house with so much architectural beauty to admire set on the Charleston harbor. Julie was an amazing host who left freshly baked goods for breakfast each morning and did a tidy up of the place while we were gone. We felt very much at home and incredibly welcomed on this gorgeous property. I’m hoping we’ll get the opportunity to come back in the future!

The Carriage House was an amazing experience, it offered the best Charleston experience. Walking distance to everything we wanted, it gave us a mid day escape from the heat that was more than just a room. Waking up each morning to the view of the water past the courtyard and that beautiful tree was a great way to start each day. We would have loved to stay longer. Having parking off street was a great convenience, we were able to leave our car and not have to think about it the entire stay. Julie was a charm, she was always very quick to awnsers any question we had and was very accommodating to our later than normal check in. We will definitely be staying here again and be telling everyone about this place if they want to hear about it or not.

This home was absolutely perfect!! The location, the charm, and the amenities made our trip so enjoyable and memorable!!We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the torrential rains that snuck up on us one of the days we were in town. The entire place was super clean and well taken care of. Everything we needed for the stay was provided.Julie was a great host, she met us when we arrived and told us about all the fun things to do in the area, and provided references on all the available to-dos and dining. We communicated as needed and she responded almost immediately.There were amazing yummy treats and casseroles for breakfast each day (so much that we couldn't eat it all).The free parking is huge, as street parking is very limited in the area.If you are considering booking this home, don't think twice, it is truly amazing!!

It was everything it said it would be and more. My husband and I enjoyed on site parking and the convenience of being walking distance to most everywhere. Our host Julie was wonderful, so friendly and helpful. She brought the most delicious baked goodies every afternoon to enjoy the next morning for breakfast along with little quiches. We will definitely be making plans to return.

We loved this property. Beautiful, historic, and classic Charleston. Comfortable and decorated wonderfully. Very easy to get to, and so nice to have parking on site. Close to all the best parts of downtown Charleston! We enjoyed breakfast each morning and appreciated Julie’s helpfulness. Highly recommend!!

What a wonderfully unique and interesting place to stay in Charleston! It has history, very spacious and comfortable and was convenient to walk all around the historic district and French Quarter. The off-street parking is an added bonus and was greatly appreciated! The bed and sheets were very comfortable and high quality (so important to me!). Julie is a delightful and amazing host. She responded quickly to all our inquiries. She graciously allowed us to check in early, provided the most wonderful baked goods every day and left breakfast for us each morning. The weather was perfect while we were there so the 2nd floor balcony become our favorite hangout to enjoy the view of the incredible Live Oak in the courtyard. I would highly recommend the Carriage House.

We have stayed at lots of short term rentals and this may have been our favorite. Everything was lovely. The property was beautiful and clean, the host was great and the location perfect. We walked to everything that old town Charleston has offer and then returned to this very quiet street to rest. The history of the property was intriguing. We should have stayed longer and spent a day in the house reading the great history books and enjoying the bird song. Maybe on our next trip!

Amazing place!! Great location where we could walk almost anywhere. Julie was the BEST host! Her bakery items and egg dishes were out of this world. The price is a bit higher than other locations but very well worth it. The carriage house makes you feel the Charleston charm. Thank you so much Julie for your hospitality!! We loved it!

This is a lovely historical place to stay with lots of charm and room to enjoy. It’s also super great for walking to all the local downtown shops and restaurants but the true star of the place is Julie the hostess. She was so warm and welcoming and provided the best breakfast and baked good each day! She was wonderful!

Charleston is such a wonderful place to stay and there are shops galore, nearby the carriage house. You have your own private parking at the carriage house and Julia the manager is an amazing person to work with! She made breakfast for us every morning and left it in the little refrigerator. We had a cheese and egg casserole! She left banana bread and blueberry muffins always kept us in coffee… And she even tidied up the carriage house every day for us! I loved it so much

Amazing stay at a gorgeous property!

We absolutely loved staying in this restored 1825 carriage house. Julie is a warm and welcoming host, and the location couldnt be better. Highly recommend!
