Alberta Nest: Home Base for Adventure in the City

Relax in our comfortable Alberta Nest guest house. The guest house is modern, bright and airy with one-bedroom. You will enjoy the high ceilings, French doors & skylights. It is a great home base for business or pleasure. We are steps away from the amazing Alberta Arts neighborhood with many cafes, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, galleries & boutiques. All are welcome at our guest house. LGBTQ+ friendly.

The guesthouse is a 1 bedroom guest house with a kitchen, TV, living area, heating & air conditioning, wi-fi, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, washer & dryer. The French doors open to your own fenced semi-private yard with an outside seating area. The living area has amazing natural light. Guests sleeping on the sofa bed may wish to bring a sleep eye mask if they want to sleep before sunset or after sunrise.

For families with young children, we offer some amenities for children including books & toys, room darkening shades in the bedroom, children's dinnerware and a pack 'n play (upon request).

We provide some basics for your stay including coffee, tea and a few snacks. See the amenities section of the listing for more details.

Access to the guest house is down the driveway on the left of the main house. You have full access to the 1 bedroom Alberta Nest guest house. The French doors open to your own fenced semi-private courtyard with patio seating. You may hear us in our backyard and we might hear you in yours. But it's not a bother to us.

We have a smart lock and you will have your own code to access the guest house during your visit.

There is one camera on the property on the front porch of the main house and faces towards the street. There are no cameras monitoring the guesthouse at all.

Clean, cute & cozyā€¦the Alberta Nest was a perfect fit for hubby and I, for two nights, in our favorite Portland neighborhood. The Nest was spotless, with coffee, snacks and a washer/dryer. I really appreciated the eco touches in the Nest. Beautiful linens, extra towels and a spacious patio! All the cooking essentials you need, including starter condiments. Alberta is close by with tons of eateries, bars and fun. The Dekum village is a favorite and a beautiful walk thru Alberta park, to get there. New Seasons is close by, with beautiful produce, incredible cheese and olives and great selection of local Oregon wine & beer. Thanks, Lorell, for your hospitality!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and tidy and the hosts were very responsive. The location was very walkable and there were a variety of local owned places to eat within two or three blocks. There was always free on the street parking during our stay and it was easy to get most places from here.

Perfect getaway

Perfect little getaway. Love alberta street so many really good restaurants and shops. Everyone in that neighborhood is so welcoming really makes you feel at home. Spacious for how small it is. Perfect location to get the best portland experience. Would definitely recommend staying at the nest. Thank you to the host what a lovely stay.

Lorellā€™s guest house is in an excellent location (one block from Alberta street, very close walking distance to all the wonderful restaurants and shops in the charming neighborhood of Alberta).We have rented vacation homes for over 30 years and this is one of the best. The guest house is charmingly decorated with comfortable furnitures & it is exceptionally clean. We greatly appreciate all the attention to details that the owners have provided to make their guests comfortable. A well equipped kitchen, luxurious plush towels, snacks, coffee & tea are just a few examples of the many wonderful provisions that we had enjoyed during our stay. We highly recommend Alberta Nest and we look forward to our next stay when we are back in Portland.

Family and Phish

The Alberta Nest was close to our daughter and son in law who we were in town visiting. It is one of the reasons we chose it and we are glad we did. Quiet, clean, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. We definitely know where we are staying next visit!

Wonderful hosts

Everything was as great- the check-in, the location, the communication. There were amenities and supplies even beyond what was advertised: coffees, teas, down pillows, puzzles and games, even umbrellas! I was visiting family in the area, and will definitely come back here.

Amazing Property!

This is THE cutest property! Its got everything you need, and I mean everything! The property owners have gone above and beyond to make sure you have anything you might need and its all amazingly organized. The decor is so fun, back patio is really sweet, great spot for morning coffee, walk to all the shops and restaurants in a couple blocks, but the property is very quiet. Highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Alberta Nest. The home was clean, well stocked, and very private. The location is ideal for anyone looking for walking distance to great dining options, along with coffee. Communication was positive and they made sure our check in and check out went smooth. We had a great rest to our long week from the coast. It was our first time in OR and we would not hesitate to rebook Alberta Nest for our next visit to Portland. Do not hesitate to book.

visiting friends that live in PDX in the Alberta Street area

I can think of no negatives about our stay. The place is well appointed, well stocked, & comfortable. It is ideal for 1 or 2 people due to the size/space. Alberta Street is 1 block away for easy restaurant/bar/shopping. It is a definite revisit if we return to the area.

Portland get-away

Perfect little spot for a nice Portland get-away! Hubby and I enjoyed the great food nearby, a couple awesome waterfall hikes and this perfect little cottage. The attention to detail make this a special place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Place and Amazing Hospitality

The place is spacious with high ceilings and lots of natural light. It is very tastefully decorated with local touches and located in the perfect spot, just a block from the vibrant Alberta strip. The owners are friendly and incredibly communicative. I was so thrilled when I arrived to find a basket of goodies including delicious local artisanal chocolates. I highly recommend this place!!!
