Welcome to Port Charlestown! 4 bedroom 2 bath close to beaches and State Parks

We are very close to Charlestown beaches ( 7 minute drive) and 5 State Parks in the area! Swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, sailing, biking, hiking!! All outdoor activities including Quoni Pond, Watchaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean!! We have a whole house with 4 bedroom, two bathrooms and we can sleep 6 guests comfortably!. Full kitchen and fully furnished with towels, linens, washer and dryer. Wireless internet and Fios cable TV in the LR and master bedroom. One king bed, one queen bed, two single beds are available. Comfortable Living Room and separate dining room with seating for 6. A large deck just off the kitchen with patio furniture and a gas grill are also included. Out back we have just over an acre of land to prowl around and look at nature, tree's, etc. There is a cute gazebo on the property with screens or vinyl windows making it all weather for you to enjoy, read a book, or just relax away from the house if needed. We are close to five State parks with hiking trails, biking trails, swimming, and many other amenities. We are only a twenty minute drive to almost everywhere you would want to see. Watch Hill, Misquamicut, Westerly, and Newport. The Point Judith Ferry to Block Island and Nantucket is also very close by. There are tons of great restaurants to choose from . We are a little off the beaten path so it's quiet, but so close to everything you would want to do or see!! We hope to host you and your family!! So come pull into Port Charlestown and escape!!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while going for 2 days at the Rhythm & Roots Festival. One night we had a friend stay with us rather than him going home (85 miles) and coming back the next day. House is really close to the venue, about 3 miles from Ninigret Park. We had to contact the owner a couple of times and he responded quickly and easily fixed the tiny problems. The house itself is on a cut through to larger roads, so there is a bit of traffic, especially noisier trucks and motorcycles. The stairs walking up to the second floor are a bit steep and not deep enough, but we figured it out. There are 4 bedrooms, but two of them have twin beds. Great for kids but not adults. Other than this, the property is roomy and the back yard is huge. It was definitely worth it to stay here.

House is on busy road with speeding cars and construction equipment so not suitable for biking or walking. Upstairs shower/bath water (and faucet controls) set to be no hotter than lukewarm. Upstairs bath wall alongside tub had large crack, missing plaster, with what looked like black mold exposed underneath. AC has to be controlled remotely by host, as in-house controls don't work. Second floor does not have AC throughout all rooms. Toaster looked to have rust on top.

We had a great stay at David's home. It was close to everything and made it very convenient to swing by to change, eat and regroup. David was very communicative and made it easy for us to know what we were supposed to do. The place is great, we even canceled one of our dinner reservations so we could stay in for the night.We'll definitely be back!

Was a great stay! Slightly disappointed we couldn’t use the fire pit. Super easy to use the beach pass and get to the beach. Beach was beautiful. Location was nice and quiet. About 20 mins from Westerly with great restaurants and little shops. Went for nice hike on cloudy day at nearby wildlife refuge. Resource binder was helpful! Specific communication from host was also helpful.

Great family home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The layout was great for our multigenerational family and had all the comforts of home. The backyard space is huge and great for kids to run around. David was very responsive and proactive!

Inside of house was good. The outside was not mowed, a few big pile of leaves and the grill was dirty. We cleaned the grill and found 3 mice in it. I should get some extra money back for having to clean that. It was discusting.

Comfort and Ease

My group of 6 stayed for 4 nights. This was a cozy house with exceedingly comfortable mattresses and closeness to local beaches. David was always prompt in his responses to me throughout my stay. I would definitely stay again!!!

Nice property near tons of activities

Very nice house and very clean. Lots of activities within 30 min. Plenty of good restaurants only minutes away. Communication with the host, David, was excellent. Plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. We are out every night so didn't try out the grill. Very quiet neighborhood for resting and sleeping. Most certainly would recommend and the night before leaving we are already thinking we might come back next year.

Beach Stay

Great location and place to spend time in Rhode Island by the beaches. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, Including a beach pass so we were guaranteed a parking spot!! We definitely will return. The house is cozy and clean. It was perfect for our group.

Annual 4th of July family reunion

We loved the location - very close to the beach. Property and neighborhood were very quiet at night. Beds were very comfortable. A/C was appreciated as it was humid weather. I'd suggest a portable fan for the one twin bedroom without a/c or ceiling fan. Other than that it was great and host was very communicative.

Great vacation, great home

My wife and I had a great stay at this wonderful home. David was an excellent host and very responsive. Our vacation was fantastic and it was nice to come back to a wonderful, clean home after a long day of sightseeing and visiting relatives in the area. We will definitely be back.

Clean, comfortable and 8 min from the beach

We had a great stay. The house was very well stocked including half and half and butter and other kitchen items that are not usually available. The house has great climate control and comfortable beds, and has more than enough towels including beach towels- a great and convenient perk! We enjoyed Charlestown beach most days of the week. Not too crowded, nice sand, clean water. It’s a short drive from the house - about 8 min, and the parking fee is $20 but the house comes with a pass which is great. The backyard is large and private, with a nice deck and screened in porch. I wish there had been a hammock and maybe a badminton set. I would also recommend the host put in an outdoor shower to help with sand. The hose worked fine, but outdoor showers are a nice feature. There is a basketball hoop and ball which my son enjoyed. Other things we liked: Water pressure is good, and two bathrooms was very nice with our teenage daughter. Neighborhood is quiet. The host is very communicative, texts a lot. Some people enjoy that level of attentiveness, but we found it a little much. While I have zero complaints, and would recommend this house to anyone, I tend to prefer a bit more laid back host. There are notes all over the house and everything is “smart” including the air conditioning and lights which left us feeling a little controlled. I just like to feel like I’m not being watched when I go on vacation. However, still a great stay.

Great location

My family and I stayed here for 1 week. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The layout was perfect for a family with kids. Very clean and owner provided towels and sheets. Also the kitchen was well stocked as well. My only complaint which is not on the owner is that the bed although new, was too hard for me. I tend to like pillow top soft,’which most people do not like. I would stay here again!

Grandson’s Graduation

This house was great. Plenty of space and amenities. Nice deck, gazebo, and yard. Very convenient to restaurants and beaches. Felt like our own home. David our host was terrific. We would book again if visiting Rhode Island.
