Home Away from Home(Sleeps 6) No city Tax

The guest home is a 1100 sq. ft two story house, with an attached deck on the second floor, that has an additional 400 sq. ft. The first floor consists of a living area, kitchen, master bedroom with an attached bathroom and closet. The second floor is a loft, and is either accessed by a small,& narrow SPIRAL STAIRCASE, or through the the larger staircase from the side of the deck.The loft has been converted with two twin beds and a futon that converts to a full size bed. It has an attached bathroom with a roman bathtub. The master bedroom has a queen size tempurpedic adjustable memory mattress with massage. It also has a bidet toilet.
There are two dogs that live on the property. Their names are Heidi (Female) and Hugo (Male). They are friendly. Heidi is protective and tends to bark with his tail wagging. Hugo will just go up to the guest waiting to be petted. Should any guest feel uncomfortable kindly let us know and we will have them in their doghouse.

The host was great to work with and got back to us in a timely manner on questions we had before check in. The place was really neat and tidy and very comfortable. Great place for a weekend getaway or a place to stay for vacation.

Great place to reconnect!

My friend and I have maintained our long distance friendship for over twenty years and always look forward to the rare opportunities we have to exist in the same place. This was such an ideal location, surrounded by nature and removed from the bustle of the city and our busy lives without feeling remote. The house is such a charming blend of modern amenities and more old fashioned designs that felt very comforting and welcome. We very much intend to stay here again someday in the future and to bring our families separately! Attached are some pictures of the host’s very lovely dogs, who kept me company when I was hanging out on the deck.

Great little house for golf tournament

The cutest house with so many amenities! The location was perfect and so close to where we would be at an event for the weekend. The neighborhood was quiet. The host was more than accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure the home was up to our standards. Everything in the house is lovely and my favorite was the tempurpedic bed and the temperature controlled toilet. When we asked if another night could be added to our stay they had no problem extending the stay for us. Thank you again. We will be telling our friends and family about the property. We plan on staying here in the future when we attend our team roping competitions at the San Antonio Rose Palace. Thank you again for being such an amazing host.

Couldn't ask for a better situation

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The property is at the end of a quiet and secluded hilltop, but also very close to all the amenities of San Antonio and the hill country.Our host was fantastic - friendly, attentive and rightfully proud of his property. It was well appointed and comfortable and we didn’t lack for anything. We are very conservative in our reviews but will unreservedly give this 5 stars in every category. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Cozy place centrally located

Christmas with family

We stayed here for the week of Christmas and it was very clean, quiet, and comfortable! We had everything we wanted, comfortable beds, TV with Netflix and surround sound, washer and dryer and kitchen. The hosts were nice and responsive to my requests.

Truly a Home Away From Home

The home is cozy, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The number of deer is amazing and the hosts’ dogs brought a touch of home we would have missed. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. You will enjoy your stay if you are looking for a quiet retreat offering plenty of outdoor space to enjoy what nature has to offer.

Great finishings

As we entered the beautiful neighborhood we were greeted by many deer. The trees and the hills were very beautiful. The house had everything we needed plus some. It was clean and very nicely furnished. All the beds were very comfortable. The host was also very friendly. What a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Quaint and perfect location to Rose Palace

We were looking for proximity to the Rose Palace, it was perfect for going to and from to check on horses. Communication with the owner was great and our stay was exactly what we were looking for.

Quiet and Secluded

Place was very clean. Owners provided everything needed for our short stay to go to a family wedding. The guest house is in a quiet secluded area with lots of deer. We were greeted every day by two friendly dogs. Loved that the place had a full kitchen and 2 baths. We will stay again in future trips to the San Antonio area.

Nice place

Nice location. Large deck. Nice neighborhood, and felt secluded. Comfy beds. It is small and the spiral staircase is very narrow, but it fit our needs perfectly. Owners are friendly as are their dogs. Definitely recommend it to others.

Quiet stay away from home

It was an overall pleasant stay. It was a quiet, clean home and the owners were easy to communicate with and very friendly. They were fast to respond to me when I reached out to them. The only really downfall I had staying there was that the downstairs room was dark and seemed to have black out curtains,but upstairs did not. My daughter had a hard time with it being bright in the room she had to sleep in. Overall it was a nice stay tho!

The perfect place for our stay

This quaint little house was perfect for our trip. I need a fully equiped kitchen when I travel, because my allergies make it so that I have to cook most of my meals. The kitchen was compact but had everything I needed and more. The spiral staircase was not an issue for me and the upper area was charming! There was lovely stenciling on the walls and other details that were there made this my favorite place to be. We only used two beds, but I got comments from my grandson and daughter about how comfortable their bed was. My bed was very similar to mine at home, which helped me sleep after a very long drive. It was close to the wedding and reception venues. A bonus was seeing deer in the yard! The owners were very responsive to my questions and requests. If I travel to the San Antonio area again, I will absolutely try to book this place first.

Nice location

We enjoyed the house. It was a nice location and had great amenities. The only issue was the air conditioning. It was a smart thermostat that kept going up to 76 at night without us changing it, so no one slept well.

Hidden gem in the Hill Country

We needed a place for 4 adults close to Helotes for a concert. This little beauty was perfect for our needs. It’s a guesthouse behind the owners’ home but it’s super quiet, there’s a nice rooftop deck with a fire pit to sit and enjoy the scenery, and it was immaculately clean and well decorated. Hreat communication from the owners who didn’t not need to be prompted to give us keypad codes or instructions —very rare these days!! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable for our family of four. It had everything we needed to prepare meals. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful.
