Fully renovated furnished 1000 sq ft (plus 400 sq ft deck) two bedrooms/two bathrooms - private guest cottage with stunning mountain and city views on 2.5 acres. Unit has air conditioning and heating and plenty of parking.
Spacious private cottage with large deck for lounging and taking in the views. Enjoy mountain living 15 minutes from AF Academy north gate. You can’t beat the location; just 1 hour south of Denver between Palmer Lake and Old town Monument and two hours from mountain resorts. Wildlife sightings daily! Great hiking around the corner. Both Mt Herman and Sante Fe Trails are right down the street. Great restaurants within 1/2 mile in the old railroad town of Palmer Lake and your choice of boutique shopping, art galleries, and several restaurants to choose from in Old Town Monument only 2 miles away! Pikes Peak brewery and two distilleries within 3 miles!
Enjoy the views during the day and the star gazing at night. This is a "NON SMOKING" unit. There are stairs from main entrance door to go up to cottage, so this would not be good for those who are unable to walk up/down stairs comfortably. Come vacation in beautiful Monument. 2 car parking available. We do not allow pets.
Please note- the cottage is stand alone. Living quarters upstairs and there is large garage on the bottom. The cottage is about 150 feet behind our main home but it is very ‘private’ and peaceful. You’ll love living with the deer! 😃

I wish we could stay longer

Saying that this place is beyond amazing is selling it short. The cleanliness and attention to detail is incredible. Cynthia is a caring host and wonderful to deal with. Everything in the rental is clearly marked and instructions are clear. The beds are comfortable and room size ideal. Can’t go wrong with this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Monument. The garage apartment was super nice and clean. It was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was perfect for our needs which was attending a wedding five minutes away at Pinecrest event center. We also appreciated the communication from the host. She has done an excellent job in thinking of everything. The view of the mountain from the deck was wonderful, and we enjoyed watching the deer roam through. Monument was close enough to the hustle and bustle of Colorado Springs, but we liked the quieter location. We shopped at a grocery store nearby and had everything we needed to cook at the place. Next time we go to Colardo Springs, we would definitely stay here again.

Great rental and location

Had an excellent stay. Unit was very clean and nicely decorated. We were looking for a place that was close to Colorado Springs but wanted something that had a more rural feel and this unit did the trick. Although unit is located behind the owners house in a sub division, all the houses sit on a couple of acres so it feels like you are in a more remote area, especially with the mountains right behind. The deck offers great views of mountains and town of Monument. It's located very close to the Santa Fe trail for those interested in biking. Great taco place in Palmer Lake, just down the road. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

This property was beautiful. It was quiet and clean, and we enjoyed seeing the deer each day. There are plenty of things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed this rental property tucked in a private corner of the owner's backyard. We watched a doe and her two fawns off the side deck, and appreciated the thoughtfulness of the extras provided us (a nice number of phone USB ports provided by our beds, for example) and enjoyed the tasteful furniture and attention to detail. Being only 8 minutes from The Garden of the Gods was an extra bonus!

Awesome space and location!

We stayed here for 5 days while looking for houses in the area and loved every minute. The space was immaculate. We didn't need anything other than a few groceries. The hosts were very welcoming and left extensive directions for everything, including recommendations on the local area for dining and activities. Very peaceful and quiet. The spacious deck was amazing - I even worked from there most of the stay. Deer would come through the yard every day and we even saw a family of fox with 5 pups playing nearby. Very close to anything outdoors you could want. The hosts were very accommodating, even sitting down with us to answer any questions we had about the area. If I could give it more stars, I would. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

A Piece of Paradise

Our month long stay here was perfect in every way. The unit is totally updated, immaculate and fully stocked in so many ways. Cynthia and Dave were wonderful hosts and very responsive. The Palmer Lake area is really nice with many convienences close by. The view from the deck is spectacular and unmatched! The almost daily visits from the neighborhood deer were fun and amazing. This place is a piece of heaven and we plan to return.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was a little concerned at first about staying in a guest house. We have always rented a whole property before. The set up here was spot on perfect. Your far enough away from the main house to keep things quiet. The apartment is very clean and well appointed. You can tell the owners take pride by some of the personal touches. The location was perfect for what we needed and the neighborhood is wonderful. If I end up back in this area I would re-book with them for sure.

USAFA I Day

We brought the whole family out to spend time together before my child started the Air Force Academy. Perfect location that was quiet and secluded yet close to restaurants and attractions. Beautiful views from the deck! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

This home is wonderfully equipped for a comfortable stay. 2 king ensuite bathrooms, comfy living area, well stocked kitchen, large patio with fire table plus a dining table. Gorgeous views, close to cute town of Palmer Lake. Highly recommend.

Wonderful cottage

A perfect place for our family during our stay in CO. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Cynthia went above and beyond in making sure we had a wonderful stay. Beautiful views from the large deck and the resident deer made it even more pleasant. I would highly recommend this cottage.

The Perfect Colorado Getaway!

This little cottage is the PERFECT place for 2~4 people. The views from the deck are awesome. We enjoyed seeing all the deer in the yard every morning and evening. The neighborhood is nice for walking in the morning. The property was very, very clean and well equipped. Cynthia was very quick to respond to questions and concerns. We would definitely stay at this lovely place again.

Our stay was everything we needed and more. Family of 4 with older teenage kids fit comfortably with room to spare. Cynthia was so kind, responsive and treated us like family. We will be back when we visit in the future!

Peaceful and Serene

This is such a special place to stay. The cottage has been taken care of really well, and the deck is amazing! I loved sitting out there at night and looking at the stars. The property is gorgeous. Fabulous property just north of Air Force Academy!

A great location in Monument, CO. Located just north of Air Force Academy, and a short distance from Monument (great restaurants, hiking, views). Cynthia and David were very responsive. Incredibly well stocked kitchen area (including coffee and FRESH EGGs from their chicken coop!). Advertised deer frequently on property, and that was NOT an exaggeration! All over the place. Super comfortable! We plan on staying again in the future!!!

Prefect! Fantastic communication. Very clean, homey, beautiful views! Excellent place to stay and relax. Short distance from the garden of the gods, numerous hiking trails and about an hour drive to Pikes peak. Highly recommend!
