We are ready to welcome you to our Ocean View Double Suite located at the beautiful Forest Dunes Resort in the heart of Myrtle Beach!

FOREST DUNES RESORT AMENITIES
The Forest Dunes Resort has so many options for the whole family or for a couple on a romantic vacation. As a guest at our suite you will be able to relax and enjoy your vacation fully with our array of water features and guest amenities.

*Each adult will be provided a wristband at the time of arrival. Wristbands are needed to access pools; each adult will need a wristband for pool deck entry. Wristbands are also needed to access the lobby from 10pm ‐ 7am and access the fourth-floor parking garage crosswalk and stairwell.

*There will be a $50 charge each for lost or damaged wristbands.

Emotional support animals however are considered pets and are not allowed at any time.

Amazing

This was an easy experience with a great view. The hotel sits right on the beach with easy access to pavilions and a wood walkway straight to the sand. Me and my family had a great time and the food at their restaurant/bar was amazing.

Dated and in need of a deep cleaning!

So speaking with the property manager / owner was very easy. When I sent messages, they responded relatively quickly, which I greatly appreciated. However, the front desk office in the resort was not as easy to work with. It was rarely open, which was a huge inconvenience. For instance, the owner explained that if the front desk was not open, I would have to check in with the sister resort. He provided the address, and the sister resort was a few resorts down the road. While checking in, the sister resort told us we needed to park on the 1st level of the garage because our F150 was considered an oversized vehicle. By day 2 of parking there, we came out to tow notice on our vehicle. I wasn't able to call anyone and the front desk was still closed. By day 3 the office was open and we were told our vehicle wasn't oversized enough. It was just a nuisance. In reference to the unit, the pictures give an idea of what the place looks like. However, in person, I realized that the entire place is in need of a complete cosmetic overhaul and a deep cleaning. Not the surface clean that was done per our arrival, but a real professional cleaning. The furniture was either stained, torn, had leftover crumbs on it, or was just extremely worn out. Most of the floors were carpeted, and it had so many stains on them it was a little disgusting. I imagine a good shampooing might be able to solve this situation. Additionally, in the kitchen it appeared that the only thing that had been wiped down was the countertops. The tile floors were dirty. The range hood had grease on it as well as some type of dead flying bug, and the appliances were dated. In the bathroom, the tiles were chipped, broken, or mismatched. Quite a bit of patchwork was done to the ceilings in the bathroom as well. We paid for a 4, night stay, but decided to head home a night early. We had just had enough. It was not properly cleaned, and we weren't able to relax and enjoy our vacation like we would have liked to. Myrtle Beach was great, and we look forward to going back. However, we won't be staying at Forest Dunes Resort again.

decent, but very old/dated

Pros: * Excellent location, with easy access to beach * Excellent service at the restaurant adjacent to the pools * This unit is on the 4th floor which is perfect for parking as the access ramp from the parking garage is also on the the 4th floor. * Onsite security. Cons: * Severely dated and needs remodeling. * Kitchen appliances are very old. * Bedroom is very cramped, barely any room to walk around the beds. * Toilets are too close to the wall * Substandard (for a hotel/condo) bathtub * Front office staff are not very friendly

Great location

The location is great with a good view of the ocean. We were expecting a functional sleeper sofa for 2 of our children. The sleeper sofa is definitely not functional. The center of the frame was bent, there were no springs on the foot so you literally fall through. We had to purchase an air mattress for them to sleep on. The carpet is gross. There is very little storage for your belongings (1 closet and 4 drawers).
