The place was great and exactly what we needed. I was blessed with the kitchen facilities since I have food needs and it was peaceful, quiet and clean. The washer and dryer was a plus too!

Once you get inside....

If you plan on staying here, please be aware that you will not be entering the residence through the front door. You must drag your suitcase, etc, across the front yard, down a slope at the side of the home, and enter at the back door. This was quite difficult for my sister who walks with a cane. Once we got inside it was clean and cozy. Be aware, there isn't a thermostat you control as it's set by the owner. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the host provided coffee and some snacks. There is an active train track, and I mean ACTIVE, all day and all night! Unfortunately we didn't see any deer, but there were cats outside that kept trying to sneak in when we opened the back door. All in all, we were comfortable.

Beautiful location

Location was very nice. There was a peaceful backyard and porch. The property was modern and had plenty of dishes and cups,towels, etc. in the cupboards. There was plenty of seating for our whole family to visit. You have to walk through the grass and on tiles down a hill to reach back door for access. So, maybe not for handicap guests.

Perfect setting

The home is in a nice safe quiet family oriented neighborhood. It was spotless. All furnishings were very well made quality. I usually can’t sleep well when traveling due to the poor quality of beds, not here these beds were amazing. Washer dyer was a nice touch and I came home with no dirty clothes. Location is great if visiting family in Piqua or Dayton. I’m sure other areas as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and all the amenities. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to the area. We saw deer in the yard daily and enjoyed watching the trains go by.

Eclipse

Stayed here during the eclipse. It was a good location and really nice and quiet. The owners were really nice and the lodge was clean and very comfortable. Would definitely come back again. Highly recommend.

Visiting the kids

We had a wonderful stay! We came out to see our kids in Piqua & this worked perfect. Such a beautiful area. Comfortable apartment, patio. Everything you could ask for! Our grandaughters even got to see the deer! Added blessing!

Nice Place To Stay

if you are looking for a nice place to stay that is clean and centrally located this is the place. It was clean and loved the faucets that had color-changing lights to let you know when the water was warm. We enjoyed our stay in a safe and clean home.

Great Location

Myself and three friends stayed here for a week long trip. We could not have been happier with the accommodations and had great interactions with the hosts. We will definitely book with them again!!

Peaceful & relaxing

Mr. Mike & Ms. Wanda are wonderful, quick to respond, and had everything thing needed for a relaxing stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated, spacious enough for four adults, and children, there is a wonder patio an amazing view. There is a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and plenty games if you choose to stay in. We enjoyed watching squirrels, chipmunks, and a doe with her fawn. Their four paw hostess Ms. Kitty, visited every morning & enjoy wildlife viewing while we had coffee on the patio. It is walking distance to down town Sidney & not far from other activities, there are booklets provided to option of local attractions. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. This is a private basement to the main house, it has a private enterence with motion lights to see your way to the enterence easily. Our stay was quiet and we didn't hear anyone upstairs nor did not feel like we were in a basement. The second room is separated by a curtain from the living room and provides all the privacy needed. We really enjoyed our stay and will return to stay there again. Thank you so much Mr. Mike, Ms. Wanda, and Ms. Kitty for a welcoming, relaxing, wonderful stay!

Quiet getaway with a view

This was a pretty perfectplace to stay for a weekend visit to family in the area. It was a nice chance to disconnect from the busy, stressful world while still being walking distance from a downtown rich with history and architecture (along with several enticing restaurants). When we arrived, we were a little worried about DTL being kind of like an in-law suite on the ground floor of a larger home, but Mike and Wanda were great. They were responsive if we had any questions, but otherwise we had a nice, private (totally separate entrance) home base with a lovely patio overlooking a mixed, deciduous forest replete with lots of song birds and . . . deer! It was, literally, a breath of fresh air.
