Where the Beach and Nature Collide-

Welcome to Franklins Tower, a new construction hideaway on Kitty Hawk Preserve. This is a very private 2 bedroom, one bath guest house located in Kitty Hawk ,NC. Whether you enjoy lying on the beach, ocean sports, bird watching, exercising, or the sounds of nature, you can have it all here without feeling like you are in a tourist destination. The Woods Rd., where the home is located, offers easy access to both ends of Kitty Hawk Beach, but also offers easy access to all other areas within the Outer Banks. The pedestrian multi-use path runs in front of the private driveway offering an easy walk to a unique covered bridge or a great place for riding bikes or a morning run. Wake up to the sounds of nature and have coffee on the large deck overlooking the preserve, or enjoy a cozy morning in with an abundance of natural light. The town house style offers 12 foot high ceilings throughout the second level offering a cozy but spacious feel. A full kitchen, french doors opening to a beautiful full length deck, as well as a full laundry and outdoor shower on ground level round out the second floor. Granite and custom tile throughout offer a touch of elegance, while offering everything you need to feel completely at home. Both bedrooms have queen beds and we offer a queen sized air mattress for that occasional extra person. Free Wifi and streaming service included. The owner of this property is onsite offering you as much privacy as you wish, but available if needed at any time. So bring your surf board, bikes, and yoga mat, or whatever you need to relax and let us take care of the rest. If you forget them use mine! I look forward to meeting you. IMPORTANT Note for my guests: This home is designed as a guest cottage. The living space is 700 square feet with an additional 300 square feet of private deck space. It does not feel small due to the high ceilings and layout, but may not be large enough for families with multiple kids. I have spent a lot of time in this space entertaining and I am in love with it. I want you to be as well! Please feel free to contact me prior to booking requests with any questions. The host was great, we spoke with him for a while about anything and everything. The house was clean and the deck was great. There are a couple of potted hibiscus plants that we saw hummingsbirds attracted to every day. If we needed anything, the host was super helpful. There’s a beautiful park nearby called sandy run that has fishing and a walking trail/boardwalk through a deciduous forest with educational signs about the wildlife. The shower inside and the outdoor shower were both great. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, silverware, and spices. We spent our first wedding anniversary here for a week(technically our honeymoon because you know how life gets in the way) and we look forward to returning and staying again

This place was wonderful for my family of three. It was clean, comfortable and had all of the comforts of home. The deck is amazing! We spent a lot of time watching birds and squirrels. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful.

Great location, the house and the deck were beautiful. We spent the majority of our time outside on the deck. When it was cool out, the beautiful gas firepit kept us warm. Great amenities, we took advantage of the bikes to ride the lovely trails surrounding the property. I would recommend to anyone looking for a little more privacy yet only 4 minutes from the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at "Franklin's Tower"! It was not only as described, but better! The house was so clean and modern, it appeared nearly brand new. We really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of the beach traffic, and the proximity to the bridge made leaving the OBX a breeze.Dave was very responsive to any questions or concerns. The 4 beach chairs came in handy, so we didn't have to bring any with us, and the 4 adult bicycles provided nice afternoon activities.Inside seating was limited, especially for 4 adults, but we spent most of our time on the beautiful deck, where there was plenty of seating.I hope to have the opportunity to stay again!

Everything was great! The house was actually really well stocked with spices etc, which made cooking convenient. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive with the few things we needed. The neighborhood is quiet (other than the frogs and the cicadas) and the space is incredibly private. The only thing missing was the coffee grinder that was in the listing, so we had to pick up a bag of ground coffee - no big deal!

Wonderful Stay

I definitely will be booking this place for future stays. I loved how the home was cozy. My favorite part of my stay was enjoying the outdoor covered deck with all the trees surrounding it. This place definitely felt like home. The owners take pride in there rental as well as making there visitors feel welcomed.

Beautiful home!

We stayed in Kitty Hawk over the 4th of July and it was a beautiful home! The deck overlooks the peaceful wooded surroundings and it was very relaxing out there… it was my girls’ favorite spot. Dave and Shelli were great at communicating and very welcoming! We were beyond thrilled with our stay. Thank you, guys!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! This place is beautiful clean in a very quiet neighborhood with a wonderful bike trail! It has everything you need and was a wonderful place for my little family to enjoy the Outer Banks. We cannot wait to come back and we would love to stay there again.

A beautiful tree house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage: it was quiet, private, comfortable and really did feel like staying in a tree house. We spent a lot of time on the deck admiring the surrounding forest areas, which were lovely. The cottage is close to the beach, shops and restaurants, but still felt secluded. The kitchen is well stocked. I would definitely stay again.

Great place

We loved our stay! The deck that backed up to the trees was a favorite. We also loved having bikes without the hassle of packing them. The house was very clean and I could tell a lot of thought went into the details of making it a great stay for guests. We hope to return!

Great getaway

A spectacular stay. Our host was accommodating and the property was pristine. My family has stayed in many places over the years all over the Outer Banks and while all were good, this place was great. Clean, comfortable, usable outdoor space, not a bug around, comfortable beds, quiet area, easy to access beaches and amenities. Look forward to our next stay. Thank you.

Great Get away

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this secluded rental. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and a nice note from the host. The rental was extremely clean, and there were many amenities.

PERFECT OBX rental

Communication with host Dave was incredible. Home was gorgeous, clean and very private. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck nestled in the trees, bike riding on a very nearby path & just the quietness of this 2 BR/1Bath house. We never have stayed in a more well stocked VRBO; there was nothing we couldn't find lol. Our hosts made our welcome very special & personal, offered suggestions to local restaurants & shopping when needed. We enjoyed every minute & even relished the only 1 day of rain; allowing us to turn on the fireplace lights & relax. Thank you Dave & Sheli (we'll meet you next time) and Philliy See you next year!

Everything we needed and more

This property was the perfect size for what we needed. It was very clean, and it had everything I could possibly think of, down to the pump to put air in the bicycle tires, when we wanted to go for a ride. Also, I needed some bug spray and sunscreen, but again, that was also provided. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a two bedroom with everything, in a very quiet location.

Wonderful!!!

We are 3 ladies who have known each other over 30 years from meeting while our spouses were in the military. We try and do an annual girls trip and this place did not disappoint! Don’t pass up an opportunity to relax and enjoy Franklin’s Tower. Oh and our host Dave was pretty amazing too!
