Chalet Les Roses des Alpes is an OVO Network property. Sleeping 8 adults in four double bedrooms (3 can convert into twins), with two bathrooms, the chalet is unusually light and spacious.

This comfortable and spacious chalet comes with all the practicality and convenience you would expect from a modern family, pets friendly home in the mountains.

It has spectacular views of the valley and mountains on all sides, and is a perfectly situated for exploring both Lake Annecy and the Aravis/Tournette mountains.

Thônes is a picturesque Alpine town in the heart of Reblochon country. Just minutes from La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand, it’s perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports. In summer, enjoy hiking, mountain biking, swimming, canyoning, and more — with stunning Annecy only 20 minutes away.

There is a second balcony on the ground floor, ideal for sunny breakfasts, and a large South-facing terrace with hot-tub leading on to a large flat garden and a lovely pétanque course.

When it’s cold outside, the best place to be is gathered around the log fire, though hardier types can always grab a blanket and a glass of mulled wine and enjoy star-gazing from the terrace.

Please note the owners live in the apartment in the basement of the chalet, with their young dog Siena (Italian Spinone). The apartment has its own independent access. Although we accept dogs at the property, pets must not be left on their own at the chalet to avoid any damage, without prior consent from the owner. Please let the owner know in advance if you plan to bring any dogs.Thank you for your understanding. Cats are not welcome at the property. There is a stream that runs through the garden, which is generally dry in the summer months. IMPORTANT : please note that parties are forbidden at this property



The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up
before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for
up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

Little piece of paradise

Positive: Chalet les Roses des Alpes is a little piece of paradise. Spacious, clean and very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful seating areas indoors and out, lovely balconies and decking area with hottub and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Very kind and helpful hosts who are always on hand for help and recommendations of places to visit and restaurants. Negative: Nothing, we love it here

Unforgettable Stay in the Heart of the Alps

We absolutely loved staying at Chalet des Alpes! The property was beautiful, with plenty of space for our family of five. David was extremely friendly and responsive, and he provided us with excellent local recommendations. The hot tub and mountain views were absolutely breathtaking. We really hope to return one day!

Thank you so much Felicity for this nice review about Chalet Les Roses des Alpes. The OVO Network team will forward it to David, the owner of the property. Thônes is a great place to start exploring the Aravis range as well as Annecy and its stunning lake. Then after a good day of discovery and outdoor activities, retreat to this lovely home with great garden and hot tub. The owner has just built a proper pétanque course to play in the evening while enjoying a glass of local wine at sunset !

Feel at home in nature.

A very comfortable chalet that makes everyone, from 5 to 90 years old, feel at home. The view and the garden are stunning. The location is convenient, close to shops, markets, and amazing hikes. David was really friendly and helpful.

Refresh yourself and clear your mind!

An excellent place to refresh your self and to clear your mind, away from the noise and disturbance! Thônes is a very quiet and small village, definitely worth the visit, the host is so nice. I highly recommend visiting this place to enjoy the outdoors!

This chalet was better in real life than the photos

This chalet was better in real life than the photos. The views are wonderful from the balconies. It was very comfortable and we appreciated the little touches provided by David, like the coffee capsules and luxury shower foam and hand cream. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor BBQ worked a treat. We enjoyed many meals on that terrace surrounded by trees and flowers in full bloom.

We highly recommend

My husband and I stayed at David’s place for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the chalet and the surrounding area. The view is beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time in the hot tub and eating our meals outside. We also enjoyed many activities surrounding Annecy Lake. David is friendly and very helpful, always responsive to any questions or requests for local recommendations. We highly recommend David’s place and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Exceptional Stay with Thoughtful Hospitality

This is a beautiful property in a lovely setting, about 35 minutes from Annecy. It is spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated, and well-equipped. A particular bonus is the hot tub, which we enjoyed most evenings after dinner. The owners live on the ground floor, with the guest accommodation spread over the two floors above. David looked after us excellently, and we really appreciated the welcome gifts, the guided tour, and the helpful advice. All in all, this is a fabulous property that we can't recommend highly enough.

Thoroughly Recommend

Absolutely wonderful. Could not fault Chalet Les Roses des Alpes, stunning location, beautiful house, exceptional amenities, David was extremely welcoming and goes to great lengths to ensure his guests have a happy stay, from the thoughtful supply of toilet rolls and luxury toiletries to the kitchen necessities right up to the local cheese and wine in the fridge to welcome you. Thoroughly recommend a stay here, we all had an amazing holiday. Thank you.

Wonderful stay at Les Roses des Alpes

We had a wonderful stay at Les Roses des Alpes. The deck with beautiful views was very enjoyable, and the hot tub was a real plus. The location is a 5-minute drive from Thônes center, 30 minutes from the beautiful beach on Lake Annecy, and about an hour from Geneva. What sets Les Roses des Alpes apart is how homely it feels. It is the first time we have rented a place that literally has everything. There were enough towels for an army, all the necessary kitchen items including things that are usually missing like foil, oil, etc. There were lots of lovely books and a pétanque court as the cherry on top. The owners were nice and attentive. We will definitely go back!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour au Chalet Les Roses des Alpes. Le chalet est spacieux, très bien équipé et idéalement situé, à proximité du lac d’Annecy ainsi que des stations de montagne de La Clusaz et du Grand-Bornand.Nous avons été très bien accueillis et conseillés par notre hôte, qui nous a donné de précieux conseils pour découvrir la région.Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement !

Un havre de paix pour des retrouvailles en famille

Nous avons passé un week-end familial exceptionnel dans ce magnifique chalet. Le chalet est parfaitement équipé, et l’extérieur est particulièrement agréable avec son jacuzzi, son terrain de pétanque, et la vue imprenable dans un cadre paisible. C’est l’endroit idéal pour passer quelques jours en famille dans la sérénité. Un grand merci à David pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.
