Situated on 2+ acres, this "attached guesthouse" offers stunning sunrise views of Hat Island, Puget Sound, and the Cascade Mountains. Relax on your private deck with morning coffee or a bottle of wine from one of Whidbey Islands award winning wineries. We are a 5 min walk to Comforts of Whidbey winery and a 5 minute drive to the seaside village of Langley, filled with fantastic restaurants and charming shops. This property is a perfect couples getaway. Your privacy is our top priority.

First Light is a non-smoking property. We have a no pets and shoes-off policy and no children under the age of 12.

IMPORTANT- if for any reason you need to cancel, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR OWN RESERVATION. Simply pull up your VRBO account and cancel your reservation directly through VRBO prior to the ā€œno fee cancellation periodā€ of 14 days. Iā€™m sorry for any inconvenience this causes. If you are unable to cancel within the timeframe of 14 days prior to your stay, contact me directly and we can arrange for you to ā€œreschedule ā€œ but I will be unable to provide a refund.

*This guesthouse is designed for two guests only. If you wish to include a third guest you MUST obtain permission from the host and an additional charge will be collected at check-in per person, per night. Please, NO parties.

The guesthouse bedrooms are located on the second floor. The rooms are well appointed but please be aware that the ceiling height on the 2nd floor is 6ā€™-8ā€ and therefore is not recommended for individuals over 6ā€™-5ā€. The master bedroom has a stunning view and is spacious and very comfortable.
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the deck offers dining and lounging areas. Deer are frequent visitors and eagles nest nearby.
During March and April keep an eye out for whale watching boats. Gray whales spouting can often be seen.
The living room has a TV with cable and access to Netflix and HBO. There are books, games and puzzles as well as binoculars at your disposal.
There is a fire pit (upon request) with plenty of fire wood, when burn bans are not in place.
Although your privacy is important to us, we are available to answer questions or make recommendations on activities and restaurants.

This property is always a delight, but it's the hosts who truly elevate the experience. This was the second time here for us and we absolutely love it. The property is spectacular, and the accommodations are outstanding as well. The view from the deck is so beautiful, it was sometimes hard to leave to go explore the quaint towns in the near by vicinity. We will definitely go back for a third time and more.

Wonderful Whidbey Island Vacation

This was our third time staying here. Mary and Mark are wonderful hosts and they have made their place such a relaxing place to enjoy Langley and Whidbey Island. We enjoyed the comfy bed, plentiful blankets, and coffee in the morning while sitting out on the porch enjoying the beautiful view of the water and mountains in the distance. I so highly recommend your staying here! I've vacationed here four times, and every time we start to plan our next trip even before we leave. Lovely getaway

We had such a lovely stay. Mary and Mark were incredibly gracious hosts and we felt so fortunate that they shared their beautiful property with us. The pictures did not do justice to the serenity of being in their cabin-like home. It was clean, homey, and had everything you could need. The surrounding area was perfect for taking walks - or drive into nearby Langley for delicious food and drinks. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.
