Hi Star! Thank you for your comments. I am so sorry about the mistake in our listing stating there was a hot tub. I have corrected that, so I want to thank you for bringing it to my attention. Yes, this unit is a small efficiency, but is also the most economical of our units, allowing the great location downtown with a smaller price tag than other rentals in the area. We are addressing the issue with clothes storage, as I feel this is needed as well. As for the hot water, we checked everything out and all seems to be working fine. I feel it may just need time for the hot water to get from the heater to the faucet. Due to the plumbing in this building, it has to travel a bit. Again, I want to thank you for your comments, and rest assured, we are correcting these items to make it a better place to stay.

We sincerely apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations and are disappointed to hear that our housekeeping team overlooked certain areas in your suite. Cleanliness is one of our top priorities, and our staff works diligently to ensure every suite meets our high standards. We also understand your frustration regarding the HVAC maintenance. To help prevent unexpected system failures, we perform necessary maintenance during daytime hours rather than at times that would typically be more disruptive for our guests. During Charleston's extreme summer temperatures, regular HVAC cleanings are essential to ensure our air conditioning systems continue cooling the suites efficiently. As part of our standard practice, we notify guests whenever a staff member needs to enter an occupied suite and again when they have completed their work and exited. We apologize that the notice provided in this instance was shorter than expected. We always strive to minimize any inconvenience during our guests' stays; however, occasional essential maintenance is necessary to preserve the integrity of our historic property and ensure the comfort of all our guests.

We are so excited that you enjoyed the Patio Suite! Here at The Charlestonian we value a personal greeting for every guest to assist with the many questions that always arise regarding details of the stay on the property or about Charleston in general. In all of about 3 minutes, we love to share practical information and hidden treasures. In addition to greeting everyone as being enjoyable, it is practical too. This saves both of us much time in front of the computer screen answering question after question. This is not a hotel. This is a boutique property where everyone is valued and deserves attention. Impersonal keyless entry where the owner (or anyone else) is never to be seen, is aloof, or is unreachable is not the Southern hospitality that you have come to Charleston to be a part of. In this case, another guest had a slight hiccup and I had to go to the store thinking that there was plenty of time before you arrived. Alas, it took a few minutes longer and you awaited me for a few minutes. I apologize for this now as I did then! Upon your return to Charleston, I will be ready with bells on! George
