Venice Beach guesthouse/pool/ retreat. Bike or skate to famous Venice beach. Beautiful architect's guesthouse, living room and bedroom open to tropical back yard with pool, sun decks and private stone patio.

Bedroom has queen size bed w/ Tuft and Needle matrass and French Doors that open to private patio, Living room has single bed for 3rd person and sliding doors that open to the dining area and pool. Kitchen, fully furnished, high speed internet,TV, utilities, gardener and pool service included . Pool is not heated, swimming only in the summer.

Share back yard and pool w/female architect owner and an occasional foreign student .This guesthouse is ideal for a quiet and cozy vacation for a couple or small family looking for a nice and peaceful area near the beach.

Welcome to a quiet and safe Venice neighborhood, new trendy stores and restaurants around the corner.
Close to Abbot kinney bars and night life in Venice as well as new restaurants and cool stores just a block away on Lincoln Blvd. Zinque,Superba Food and Bread, Plant Based Pizza, Venice West (live music) Deus Ex Machina,The Penmar (live music)
Bus stop 2 blocks away . Supermarket and Pharmacy are 4 blocks away .
We are also near Santa Monica shopping on Main Street and 3rd Street Promenade and Rose Ave restaurants, night clubs and antique stores.

Play golf on PENMAR an 8 hole course at walking distance, tennis courts at walking distance are free and have lights to play at night.
Try a day on a fishing boat in Marina del Rey, go to the famous free concerts on the Santa Monica Pier or the Marina Burton Chase Park in the summer.
The rent includes cruiser bicycles , so you can pedal to the famous Venice beach and go on the bike path next to the ocean.
Free non regulated parking on the street. No microwave,no dishwasher.

Pets are not allowed, no parties, meetings, no classes. ONLY QUIET PEOPLE , PLEASE,
WE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS.
No renters under 25 years old unless part of a family or agreed upon by owner.
No visitors unless agreed upon by owner. No drugs, no Marihuana.
The guesthouse is located at the end of the property, people that have any problem walking or need a walking stick please do not apply , as it would be difficult for you to enter and exit . No nude bathing. No diving.

Charming Bohemian Style

Very clean, cute guesthouse with lovely garden and pool. Host is very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Awesome place in an awesome location!

Super cool place with awesome accomodations! Absolutely no complaints, host communication was great, location was fantastic for what we needed, and property was clean and very well appointed! Looking forward to visiting again!

Comfortable little place

Host was very friendly and helpful. She even left us a basket of fruit and a welcome card. Pool was nice , parking was on the street but no real issues there. Overall a nice stay.

Cute little pool house close to beach

This cute little pool house was in a good location, close to the beach and lots of good restaurants. The owner is a sweetheart who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. There are lots of little touches to help make a beach vacation more enjoyable like chairs, bikes, and towels. My 10 year old liked it so much she wanted to move in!

Cosy stay at LA

The guesthouse is super comfortable and well equipped. You have everything you need for a quite rest after a busy day (either working or wandering around the city). A lot of nature vibes also, as you hear constant birds singing and have a squirrel visit here and there :) A lot of privacy.

A piece of haven in Venice

The apartment is well located close to the beach, Venice and a few miles from Santa Monica pier. We got a super welcome package from the owner with whom we got a superb communication, and inside we found really everything we needed for cooking and toiletry. Fantastic property!

Lovely property! I was so comfortable there. Very homey and relaxed. Gorgeous setting. Host is very friendly and respects privacy. Every tiny detail was taken care of, thoughtful in preparing the property for the renter. I would definitely stay here again. Super happy customer.

Just what we needed!

My husband and I were visiting LA and wanted to be in a spot that would be easy to visit beaches, our friends in Santa Monica, and good food. This location delivered on all the the above! Gabriela was helpful, explicit, and incredibly kind. Our space was cozy and had the perfect outdoor seating area for morning coffee and a book! We would definitely stay here again if the chance presents itself!

We had a great stay at this cozy flat in Venice, located behind the host Gabriela’s home. The space was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped, there was a heating option for cooler nights, and the Wi-Fi was reliable and fast. The garden and small pool between the houses were beautiful and peaceful. Despite sharing the lot, it felt private and quiet. Gabriela was incredibly welcoming and responsive. She shared great tips on what to see and the best times to visit popular spots, and even provided a small welcome basket with fruits and water. Parking on the street was easy, and the location was ideal for exploring Venice. Note: The bedroom curtains aren’t blackout, so bring an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light. We’d happily stay again and definitely recommend it!

Pool Cottage

Gabriela's pool cottage was just perfect - a quiet little retreat behind the main house past a pool and through a lovely garden. Cozy and sweet. Bed was comfortable, lots of light, a desk in one corner, a day bed in another, nice bathroom, kitchenette small but with all the necessary items. The space was clean and airy. Eating space is outside under a lovely arbor. Gabriela was available and friendly and responsive to all our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Gabriela is delightful

Throughout our two-week stay Gabriela was fun to talk to and immediately attentive to any problems. You couldn't ask for a better hostess or neighbor. It's a cozy arrangement with her house in the frontyard and her rental cottage in the backyard with the pool in between, but it works just fine. The neighborhood is very safe, and it's a short drive to the beach, the canals and most of the sights. And you'll like Gabriela!

Great Hostess and location at Venice, anytime again

we felt very comfortable in this great apartment. Gabriela is a very friendly and warm hostess who is always there for you when you needed. the apartment is very nice and comfortably. almost nothing is missing except kettle but that´s a small detail. in the end we would come back anytime on our next visit to LA. once again many thanks and greetings to Gabriela and all the best from Britta and Winfried

Clean and quiet

My wife and I stayed here four nights, visiting family in the area. It is cozy and clean and fit our needs perfectly. A few things to note (as of Jan 2023): - The bed may be a double rather than a queen. It felt a little small for the two of us. But it was comfy and we slept well. - The kitchen has no microwave or dishwasher because it is so small, but has everything else you are likely to need. - The single bed that's in the living area is okay for a short sit-down, but not for an extended period of time. I wouldn't want to sit there very long watching TV, for example. For us, none of these things made it any less enjoyable to stay.

Piece of Heaven

Every year I come to CA to visit my best friend, who lives in WEHO, and I usually stay at a hotel. This is the first time I've stayed in a rental like this and I'm sold!! Yes, the cost is slightly more than your average hotel stay, but it's SO worth it. In a hotel all you have is your room and maybe a lounge to hang out in, but that's about it. This was a fully stocked apartment with everything you need, literally! And to top it off you also have a nice little private patio in a beautiful garden with a pool to enjoy. Gabriella is a breath of fresh air and she has great energy. She made us feel so welcome and the place was so cozy, we felt like we were home. Such a nice quiet neighborhood with all kinds of various shops to brouse through, restraunts and grocery store within walking distance. Venice Beach and the boardwalk are also pretty close and you could probably walk, but there are also bikes to use if you want, and the busses are really easy to use too - only $1.00 within the area. This was the best vacation yet and I look forward to staying at this little piece of heaven again.

Great house but lack of privacy

The guesthouse was amazing and beautiful with all the plants around it. The porch was a good place to just be outside and enjoy the beautiful California weather. The inside of the house is beautiful too! Gabriela, the property manager, does an amazing job keeping the place up to date and cozy. She provides everything to make this stay a great one. Although, I felt like she was watching us all the time and making sure we weren't breaking any of her "rules". Even though I had rented out the pool house we were very limited on what we could do. I felt we couldn't have music on and when my cousins came over to do a barbecue we felt like we couldn't talk or laugh or even drink. She has some bikes that she provides to go to Venice, but the chains are rusty and at any moment they are going to break in which you have to pay for the whole bike. Overall, there are some benefits in staying in somebody's backyard but the lack of privacy is something to be concerned. This was my first time renting someone's house and I will definitely find out more information on the next time because honestly, the lack of privacy is something to be concerned about.

Not quite as advertised

The guesthouse served its purpose and we enjoyed our time in CA. It is by no means a designer property with nothing to sit on in the living area other than the rather uncomfortable single bed that is laid directly on the floor. The closets have sheer curtains instead of doors. The owner asks that you remove your shoes for the "white carpet"(actually beige) to help with allergies when two resident cats continually try to enter the property. We three are all allergic to cats so it was very annoying to suffer as a result of cats having been in the guesthouse before our arrival. The setting is peaceful and the owner does respect your privacy however we were expecting to occupy the whole guesthouse and were surprised to hear the sliding door on the end of the guesthouse opening and closing early morning and late in the evening, there was somebody sleeping in that room. The street parking is ok and the bikes ride-able however all seats need replacing as they are very worn and cannot be tightened, meaning they move continually as you pedal. Finally, the property is much further from the beach than implied so guests simply must have a car or be prepared to suffer the bikes.

Fin de voyage au calme à Los Angeles

Nous avons séjourné à la fin de notre séjour en Californie chez Gabriela , petit studio charmant au calme de l’agitation de la grande ville . Gabriela était disponible , arrangeante et bienveillante …. Elle a pu nous conseiller sur nos activités, et nous a prêté des vélos … top pour aller à la plage ! L’accès à la piscine est un plus pour les fin de journées après les excursions ! A recommander

Lovely poolhouse !

We had a great Time in Venice Thanks to Gabriela ! House was Very clean and charming. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. We could even borrow bikes to go to the beach (20 min ride). We loved it.

Lovely rental!

My teenage son, husband, and I spent five days at this property at the end of July. Gabriela was fantastic to work with, and the property was just as described. She greeted us at check-in and even had a welcome basket with snacks waiting for us. It was a perfect location for everything we wanted to do (e.g. Warner Bros studio tour, Santa Monica pier) with everything just a short drive away. There is only street parking for the rental, but we never had any trouble finding a spot. There were also several great restaurants nearby that we were able to walk to, which was really nice. I felt very safe in the neighborhood, and we enjoyed sitting out in the backyard in the evenings. I would absolutely stay in this rental again when we come back to the area.

Très bien !

Emplacement idéal ! 2 pièces parfaits pour un couple ou 2 amis à Los Angeles. Cozy, fonctionnel et propre. Gabriela nous avait mis à dispo tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin, y compris des brosses à dents ! Délicate attention :-) Le vélos nous ont été aussi très pratiques pour aller se balader sur Venice et Santa Monica. Nous recommandons fortement !

Venice vibe

This place, for us, was PERFECT!! Gabriela 'got' us before we even arrived. She is so solid, very cool, delightful, thoughtful, and just present enough. I would stay with her anywhere in the world. The pool house was ideal for us - I was traveling with my 13yo daughter and her 13yo friend. They had their sleeping/private space, I had a place to sleep. Ideal environment, they cooked for me, I choked it down, they swam as often as possible, we ALL loved having the beach bikes to cover the local area, from Marina Del Rey all the way through Santa Monica - so easy and almost flat, generally. It was right off a main commercial corridor, and there was a highly recommended bakery/breakfast place just around the corner, a Ralph's a couple short blocks walk away, a convenience store and all sorts of funky options on foot, close at hand. There are several car rental places less than 10 minutes walk away - this place is PERFECT! Trust Gabriela, trust me ...

Great location for beaches

Gabriela was a great hostess! Very helpful and always available if we had any requests! The accommodation was enough for our requirements as we were out everyday exploring! The accommodation was clean and had the facilities we required! If you are after something quirky with good access to beaches and Hollywood this would be ideal. A car would be preferential at this location. We have a lovely week!
