It is a sheepfold located in the countryside near the village of Lussan, in the middle of a quiet hamlet in the scrubland.
Former silkworm, we still see the traces of six old chimneys characteristic of the silkworm that allowed to raise the silkworms. Old sheepfold, there were still goats 15 years ago.
The sheepfold is an old outbuilding of a very large farmhouse, it is not isolated but instead surrounded and close to other former outbuildings of the farmhouse (former hen house, farm worker's house, etc.), which were transformed into dwellings. There are close neighbors.
The atypical layout and openings to the various outdoor spaces (the courtyard, the covered terrace facing south, the small boxwood garden in the shade, the pool area ...) allow the meeting of a sibling, a "cousinade "or a group of friends but also offer everyone calm and privacy.
The sheepfold has been patiently and fully restored, it has kept the charm and character of the old and now offers all the modern comforts.
The heart of the house is its large kitchen on the ground floor (it is the old silkworm) where there is a central island (which allows to cook in a friendly way to several) and a large wooden table to gather. all the guests.
The sheepfold is built around 2 old cast iron inner snakes which serve the 7 bedrooms, the 5 bathrooms / shower rooms and the lounges.
Two outside staircases give access to the courtyard, the terrace and the small shady box garden.
The many spaces, indoor and outdoor, allow everyone to find space and privacy.
Outside side, you will have
- a garden of 1. 700 m², facing south and southwest, with a private pool of 4 m x 12 m secured (electric shutter lock) for your sole use,
- a closed courtyard, facing south, ideal for meeting for meals or for a bit of reading,
- a large covered terrace, south facing, well sheltered from the wind, it is pleasant all year, especially in spring and winter.
The many spaces, rooms, lounges, courtyards, terrace and garden will offer you as many places to eat, play, read, chat, relax, possibly isolate yourself or simply to forget the weather and enjoy the holidays ...
Some rooms have double beds, others single beds.
Some rooms have private shower rooms, other rooms will share bathroom or shower room.
We can provide baby equipment (beds, high chairs ...).
The house is rented free management, they are not cottages. Bed linen and towels are not provided.
The house is in the middle of the hamlet, semi-detached, there are neighbors nearby and we ask to respect the tranquility of the neighborhood. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind but it's not the place for noisy nights or midnight baths.
