This newly built 4 season lake-front cottage is located in a quiet cottage development in Steep Rock, MB. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of beautiful Lake Manitoba in the luxury of our 1600 sq ft cottage. Relax on the large deck and watch the gorgeous sunsets overlooking the lake or enjoy marshmallows over a fire in the front yard. The front yard is great for playing lawn games, and it is a quick stroll down to our private beach for a swim in the lake. If you are in search of a sandy beach, Steep Rock Beach Park is only a few minutes drive away and open to the public daily. In the town of Steep Rock, rent a kayak or canoe and explore the picturesque limestone cliffs, one of the most photographed spots in Manitoba. For the animal-lovers, take a paddle out to ā€œgoat islandā€, the summer home of 3 friendly goats. Be sure to inquire at Steep Rock Kayak and Canoe, where they can provide you information and some goat feed to take with you! There also also plenty of ATV and walking trails in the area.

This fully-furnished, three bedroom property sleeps 7 people very comfortably. All bedrooms have new beds and linens. The master bedroom and bedroom #2 are furnished with queen size beds. Bedroom #3 is also furnished with a queen size bed and an additional twin bed. There are two bathrooms in the cottage, one full bath and a half bath. The open-concept living space features a full kitchen stocked with cookware, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, Margaritaville, and top line stainless steel appliances (electric cooktop, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher). The large dining room table seats 8 people comfortably, and the all-season sun room provides additional places to sit and play board games. Cottage features a flatscreen TV, blue ray player, sound bar speaker with woofer, and high quality leather couches. Bring your favourite DVD/blue-rays and enjoy a relaxing movie night in!

Wifi is available at cottage.
BBQ is available for your use.
We recommend bringing water shoes if you plan to swim at our lake front beach, as it is rocky and can be very slippery.
Well water has been tested and certified as safe to drink. Water can be subject to a mineral taste, if this does not appeal to you please bring bottled water.
There is no wifi and minimal cell reception.
There is no air conditioning, however each bedroom has a fan for those hot summer nights.
Pets welcome, but please keep them off the furniture.

Great Family Get Away

We really liked this VRBO. It was well stocked, big enough for 7 of us and close to beaches and hiking trails. Would highly recommend for family get aways!

Relaxed cabin experience

Cozy and comfortable cabin for the entire family (kids, pet, parents and grandparents). Exactly as advertised, appreciated the quick responses from property owners. Thankful for the fans in each room. Extra stock of Pantry item's and fridge item's in case you forget to pack things. Appreciate the park pass to get to Steeprock Beach Park.

Complete Relaxation

This property was ideal for a week of relaxation. We enjoyed the sunsets each night, swam at the beach, fell asleep to the waves hitting the shore. The furniture inside and out is comfortable and plentiful. Towels and linens are great. Wifi is good too. On the hot nights we appreciated the fans. Definitely used our water shoes at all the beaches - house, campground and cliffs. Enjoyed ice cream from the lil cafe at the campground. Do bring everything you need as there are limited items to purchase at the campground store.

Lake retreat getaway

Rental property is exactly as described, very clean, well maintained and a nicely stocked kitchen for cooking. Beds and linens of good quality and comfortable. Lake front rocky but accessible with proper foot attire and the lake-view, water and wildlife viewing therapeutic. Games and movies well stocked, no need to bring. Great long weekend getaway

We all enjoyed our long weekend at Wits End. It was nice to have space for everyone and everything you could want was available in the kitchen for cooking - everything! What a great spot, we definitely want to come back again.

Perfect private get away

We loved the privacy of the property and that we had our own section of water and shoreline all to ourselves. Was perfect for our family and we enjoyed every minute. We will likely be requesting this same property again sometime next year!

Lovely quiet property on a beautiful lake

We loved how quiet and private the property was. Very good tree blockage from neighbours, and the lot is very wide so you don't hear anything, except birds. The location is also very good, situated between the sandy beach and the town with access to the kayaking rental. Property was left for us in very clean condition. The owners were very pleasant, friendly and easy to deal with. They gave very clear directions to access the property, and have information in the house about how to use the TV, etc, which was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and would return.

Amazing, and full of surprises! Thanks for the water, as we couldnā€™t fit any in the car. The games were super fun! So thankful to have water shoes, very rocky but the water was beautiful. We captured many beautiful sunsets!

Great spacious home in Steep Rock

This property is exactly as pictured and offers plenty of space to relax whether inside, on the very spacious deck, by the bonfire or down by the lake watching the northern lights, stars and seeing the Milky Way! It was an amazing experience

We were very surprised with how pretty, tidy, new and cozy everything in the cabin was. It was well organized and we immediately felt at home, especially in a place we'd never been in before. We also loved the private small beach. Overall the experience was very good and the ammenites such as board games, books, music and TV with movies made it even better and we never felt bored. Thank you to the owner for providing a public beach pass if we ever wanted to go, as well as a incredibly detailed welcome book which we could look in for any information regarding Steep Rock. The one issue was the rocky shore at the beach, a friendly reminder to bring water shoes would be great next time.

Very Relaxing Stay!

We were looking forward to some R & R time at Steep Rock and this lovely cottage was perfect! The weather was awesome, the water was fine (you can swim right on your own private beach out the back door) and we could not have asked for more! Wonderful place we will consider returning to!

Paradise

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The property was in tip top shape, beautiful yard, the stone beach was so neat, and the water was clean and refreshing. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living space was ample, even with two families there, and the deck and fire pit made for great entertaining. Amy was a great host, answering any questions we had, and looking after our every comfort. I have nothing bad to say about any of it, this place is well worth the price and I highly recommend it. We will be back.

Best sunsets

Our stay here was truly wonderful! Everything was exactly as described. We loved watching the sun set every night... our phones are full of stunning images. The cabin was super clean and well arranged. We loved being in the cabin as much as being out on the beautiful deck or by the lake. We hope to get back there one day! Comfortable Lakefront Home

The house is spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with many staples plus spices, coffee, filters and condiments. Thereā€™s even a first aid kit and skunk recovery products! The beds are comfortable and there are more than enough towels. The deck is shaded in the morning and in full sun all afternoon and evening. Bring your water shoes; the rocks in the lake are super slippery! Definitely recommend this home!

Beautiful lake front cottage

Thank you Amy for a wonderful stay. Your place was very clean and comfortable. The rooms all had clean, new bedding with comfortable beds. Something to consider would be having some darker window coverings in the bedrooms as two of the rooms were quite bright. We had a very hot week here so the fans in each room with the windows open helped a bit to cool the rooms down at night. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Thank you for leaving the park pass to use the beach. We went everyday! We appreciated the quick responses and all the information about the property and the area. The beach at the property is rocky so water shoes were a great recommendation. We loved going down there to swim and enjoy the lake. It was our first time to Steep Rock. We had a great time exploring.

A Great Getaway

When we booked this trip we were wondering if the 5 hour drive would be worth it but it exceeded our expectations in every way. We are a family of 6 with 4 children ages 7-13. Amy was very responsive and provided an exceptional experience for us. The house is clean and spacious with a well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals. There were even some rocks and paints left out for the kids to decorate when we got there which was very inviting. We brought our own kayaks, canoes and bikes and enjoyed exploring the lake and the many trails around the old limestone quarry. We explored the limestone cliffs at the town of Steep Rock and enjoyed learning a bit about the history of the area. Steep Rock Lake Park had a nice sandy beach for swimming and is within walking distance to the house. Overall, we felt like we were at home. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were fresh and new. We would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful place!

Fantastic place for a family vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay with our two boys and two dogs. The cabin was beautiful and spacious, and we really loved having direct access to the lake. The calm and clear waters of Lake Manitoba were just perfect for paddleboarding. The lake bottom is very rocky though, so water shoes are a must. We also enjoyed sitting on the shore to watch the gorgeous sunsets. We also took advantage of the fact that the Steep Rock Beach Park is only a 3 minute drive from the cabin. We spent several afternoons on the beautiful sandy beach. The lake bottom there is mostly sandy and stays shallow for a good stretch, making it perfect for young children to play in. Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Loved, loved this place :)

Beautiful cabin

We stayed at the cabin on August long weekend, it was the perfect amount of space for 7 people even though we spent most our time outside on the beautiful deck, playing games in the big yard, or floating on tubes in the gorgeous water! The only thing I would note is that a lot of condiments are supplied! We brought everything we thought weā€™d need but didnā€™t end up opening them! Not a bad note! I would love to come back one weekend!

Get unplugged

Awesome stay at Steeprock. They property was beautifully decorated and welcoming . Limited cell service makes it a retreat for family time . Numerous activities possible both at site and in surrounding community... all perfectly outlined in welcome book. Natural beauty in clear water and amazing sunsets. Public beach is perfect,. shallow and beautiful sand would be great for children.My only suggestion is perhaps an access card could be provided for getting in to public beach gate as it is a bit far to walk.

July 5-7

This was a phenomenal place to stay for the price that it was. It was very roomy and we had no issues with space whatsoever even though we had 7 people staying in the place. There is a full dining room table which is nice but if you prefer to sit outside you can sit at a picnic table on the deck. The biggest downside was that there was no AC and the cabin was insanely hot at night even with the windows open and fans running. The beach is very rocky so we didn't use it really at all but drove to the beach at Steep Rock for kayaking and swimming which was really nice. There is also an awesome quarry to swim and cliff jump in which was a great spot to hang out for an afternoon. Ask the owner of the kayak rental for directions if you need it. We saw the goats on goat island which is a MUST if you are here but be aware there is alot of poison ivy and stinging nettle on the island. The cabin had a great feel overall and was an awesome place to stay with tons of room. There is absolutely no service or wifi which was a great way to spend a weekend away from the city with no distractions. They have an abundance of games to play and lots of fridge room if need be. Another thing to be cautious of is that there are only 2 garbage's outside to put garbage in and the dump only opens at 11 which is also the check out time and we didn't really have enough room in the cars to hold many bags of garbage to take on our way home. There were also an insane amount of spider webs everywhere which isn't the worst thing but we weren't too fond of all the webs we had to swat through to get into the cabin. Overall great place to stay, we had a lot of fun here and we all talked about how impressed we were with this rental.
