We thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beauty of the scenery and the proximity of the creek was great, and everyone in our three-generation crew loved it. We played in the creek, watched mule deer and hummingbirds with binoculars, threw frisbee, played bucket golf, played cards on the swings, made meals on the Blackstone, and relaxed with campfires under the stars. Literally wouldn’t change a thing, except maybe stay twice as long. Carolyn is a phenomenal host as well. The 50 minute gravel road drive is worth being prepared for (bring all you need for your stay on your first trip in!), but only added to the experience in our opinion (we are outdoorsy and prefer to be away from the crowds). Hope to return someday!

We could not have been more pleased with this property! The cabin offered the perfect mix of privacy (everyone had their own bedroom) and community space for conversation and games. The riverside gazebo and fire pit were awesome! The owners were great to work with and communicated promptly. If you are looking for a getaway in the Idaho mountains, I highly recommend!

This was the perfect off-grid property! We loved it!

This was the Best ever property for us. 11 total stayed and had lots of room for everyone!! Hiking, motor bike trails, swimming, fishing, river floating, we did it all right from the cabin! We will be going back!

Another excellent stay!

There isn't much more to say than I said last time, or has been said before. This place really is perfect. The river, the fire pit, the house, all perfect. Love the new gazebo with the swings - we spent so much time out there. Book it - you won't regret it!

Beautiful area, beautiful home. Great place to unplug and get away from it all. Definitely the place to go if you like the outdoors. The owners were very responsive, accommodating and friendly. Tons of games on and at the property. Great place for family gatherings, reunions, or a couples get away which is what we did. Hope to go back and stay again soon!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

This property is top notch and is a perfect "get-away" for a large group. We enjoyed many nights by the fire as well as sitting next to the river while we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings. The wildlife came to visit us everyday and we couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind! Thanks for everything, Carolyn! Your house is amazing!

The perfect family getaway. Beautiful property and accommodations. Everything is well thought out for a relaxing comfortable visit. Love the magnetic scrabble board - we played it throughout the week. The grill and black stone were perfect for every meal. The s’mores cart was great for our evening hotdogs, s’mores and hobo pies. You can’t beat being on the river. Every view is incredible. Exceeded expectations!! Carolyn is a great host! The “off the grid” living was easy to navigate and added a fun twist.

A Serene Getaway with Stunning Views – Exceeded All Expectations!

We had the most incredible stay at this location—it truly exceeded our expectations in every way! The property was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, from kitchen supplies to cozy blankets. All we had to bring was our clothing and food, which was great considering we flew in from Ohio. The views from the house were absolutely breathtaking—truly a slice of paradise. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore the surrounding area, this place is perfect. We can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

Great place to rest and relax and play.

We had a wonderful time. Campfire was great place to sit around with love ones and visit and relax. The river was amazing. I grew up coming to this area in the 70s and 80s coming back was so much more than I could have even imagined. Seeing the kids in our group experience and explore this area as I did as a kid was such a joy to me. Carolyn thank you so much for giving us this special opportunity to stay at your beautiful property. Lifetime memories were made.

A truly special place

The place is amazing. Carolyn truly owns a special place and shares it. We have come here two years in a row. Place is clean and large enough that we can have many family members come and visit and enjoy the Mts. Cabin is set up with everything you need to cook your meals, the deck is perfect to eat ouside every evening. Firepit is a great place sit and laugh and enjoy time together with family and reconnect and forget about the world right next to the river. Thank you Carolyn for everything!!!

Amazing

This property is truly amazing. It is as advertised and is completely off the grid in the mountains which is exactly what we wanted. So many outdoor activities to do around the property. The river is beautiful and runs right through the backyard. The fire pit is the perfect gathering place for the group at night with plenty of nice chairs provided around the fire. We had an amazing trip. The off the grid living was easy to get used to. You just have to remember to turn off lights when u leave a room and start the generator if you want to use the appliances that draw significant power. There is a digital meter in the kitchen that tells you what the power level is at. If it drops below a certain level then just start the generator. The host was very responsive and answered any and all questions I had. All the beds were super comfortable! What a perfect place. All of us kept talking about what a dream it would be to have a place like this to escape to.

This cabin is a hidden gem in the beautiful Sawtooth national forest. Everything was beyond wonderful including communication with Carolyn, cleanliness, comfort. We cooked many meals on the Blackstone and were so happy with all the accessories they had for it. Words can't describe how beautiful the river was. We spent many hours sitting on the covered swing appreciating the beauty. There are nearby amazing hikes that we enjoyed thoroughly. We loved it so much that we rebooked for next year. It was a peaceful serene experience that was such a nice escape from the daily grind.

We love snowmobiling, golfing and 4 wheeling with our friends. During my off time, you will sometimes find me sculpting the snow, sewing, doing woodpile art and surprising my grand-kids and friends with homemade marshmallows to use on the next new s'more concoction

Private property in the middle of national forest is hard to find so when this bare piece went up for sale we knew we needed to built our little get away. We are keep improving it year after year.
