White River Home located on river providing great fishing, boating and outdoor beauty just 15 minutes outside of Mountain Home, Ar. Location is just 2 miles down the river from Buffalo City with easy access to the Buffalo River - providing scenic beauty along with great trout and small-mouth bass fishing. Cabin provides all necessary luxuries of home along with a huge 20 ft long deck to enjoy the natural beauty. Private Boat ramp is 300 yards away - walking distance- provides easy access to the White River.

The house was great for 4 adults and 4 kids! Thr kitchen had all the utensils and cookware needed to cook our meals! Check in was super easy and the host was very communicative and helpful. The house was very clean and had plenty of towels and bedding.

Incredible place

Truly a perfect spot for family fun. Very very clean place and awesome deck overlooking river. Was a great location on river and easy to get to town.

White River Getaway

The place was perfect for my cousin and our boys. It has everything that you need and then some. It's right on the White River and a huge deck that is just what you need for morning coffee and evening happy hour. Buffalo City and Norfork are close by for some great fishing. The Ingold's are great host and will most definitely be back to stay in the future. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.

My Home Stay

The property is amazing! Would definitely stay again. If you happen to come in late make sure you are prepared. It’s a little drive into town. The place is super clean! My husband was very impressed with also. Also has pretty much anything you need for cooking etc.

Beautiful home - great location

Our family has been visiting/fishing the White River for over 20 years. This year our group was smaller so we had more flexibility on where to stay. The location was perfect - good river access. The view was beautiful and the home very accommodating. We enjoyed the beautiful deck - top and bottom (cool breeze off river on bottom deck) - I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds - and we had a very enjoyable stay. Loved the well stocked pantry and condiments. We look forward to visiting again. Host very accommodating - thank you

Family trip

Property was great!! Great view of river off the deck. Well furnished property. When you run into gravel road you aren't lost, keep going. Property was a little farther out than expected. Our trip was for my son and daughter in law's Baby revel so we made several trips into Mountain Home. I would recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing outing.

Perfect spot!

We had a great stay! The cabin had everything we could need, including seasonings and a some leftovers from the previous guests. The cabin location was beautiful! It is a bit remote and you have to travel a couple miles on gravel to get there, but well worth the drive. We kept a couple of hummingbird feeders full and it was a joy watching the birds. It was also very peaceful overlooking the river. The only other thing worth noting was there are a decent amount of stairs to get into the cabin which was difficult for my 88yo mother, but she even said it was worth it for the view and the birds. Just something to consider...Our host was also very helpful, even getting us information on local fishing guides and responding to questions during our stay.

Eclipse Oasis

We really enjoyed our stay centered around viewing the solar eclipse. Over 3 1/2 minutes totality! The property was perfectly secluded while being close to anything we could need. The house was very clean with beautiful decor & furnishings. And probably the best stocked kitchen & cooking utensils we’ve had in a rental. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck overlooking the river. So relaxing. We also enjoyed the patio below when we wanted a break from the sun. The only disappointment for us was no bathroom upstairs with the king bed. I’m sure not an issue for others but our senior group chose the smaller rooms for that reason. Just something to be aware of when booking. The owner was easy to work with and quick to answer any questions we had. We would not hesitate to book again.

What a beautiful place! We found the cabin very clean and well stocked. The decor was very nice. This cabin is not very old at all. It was perfect for us and our five young adult family members. The view was so nice, and evenings out grilling on the east facing deck very comfortable. We fished from the bank. It was a bit steep, but doable. There is an access point with rocks to stand on about a half mile up the river. There is a nice big front yard. We set up a chipping net out there. One day we drove about 20 minutes to Riley's outfitters at Buffalo City and rented a fishing boat. From there we fished at the point where the Buffalo river meets the White river( caught several ) and then fished all the way down the White river , about four miles, to the house, ate lunch, then motored back up stream to the outfitter (took about 30 minutes to get back) This was a great afternoon. We saw a bald eagle! One day we drove to Buffalo point (about an hour away)and floated the Buffalo river from there to rush landing. This was so beautiful and a great family excursion. I would not recommend Dirst rentals though. This was our first time to the area. We did not realize that the white river is very cold and flows pretty fast. You probably wont be swimming in the river in front of the cabin. The buffalo river is warmer and more for floating and swimming. The white river is more for trout fishing. This cabin had great access to both areas. Be aware that the cabin is 25 minutes to the nearest store of any kind. We really appreciated that the cabin was stocked up with the basic supplies. Don was a great host. Hope we have the opportunity to come back.

Amazing destination!

It was such a pleasure staying in this cabin. Beautiful views on the river from the deck and the house too. Very clean and has all accommodations to have an amazing and relaxing weekend. Really loved the time I spent here with my friends. The host Don is very pleasant and good communicator. I highly recommend this property. I will definitely go back during the summer. From Caroline - Great beautiful location on the river with spectacular nature views. Very well appointed home; comfortable beds; comfortable seating ; plenty of space. Enjoyed preparing meals in a well stocked kitchen. The deck over the river is stunning.

Family Get-A-Way

The cabin resides in a secluded water front location. Perfect for groups of all ages and family types. Check-in, stay, and check-out were top notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet scenic vacation.

You will be surprised

Upon arrival the first thing we notice is how clean and updated the home was. Then how well stocked it was with every mended utensil. Love cooking on the deck, doing s’mores on the fire. Bring lighter fluid. The serenity was captivating and relaxing. Loved the friendly pooches who always visited during meal time . Not a skinny there. First day we caught 16 trout off the bank. Was not expected that but filled the fryer. I have stayed many a Vrbo but this one was top shelve. The k wet Don was more than accommodating with suggestions. There is a boat ramp down the end of property although we used recommended guides. After a full week my body is sore, my belly full and my heart happy for making this decision. We were delayed by hurricane Ira and Don provided an extra two days. My kids will stay I have to leave 😂 treat yourselves folks and book this place to GET away. We fished the river locally and caught many many rainbows. Then fished close to dam and hits some browns. Hot everything we were looking for. Sorry got to go family fishing and I want to catch my last few before leaving👍👍

Favorite VRBO ever!

Barkett’s great 2022 family vacation!!

This was our first rent with the VRBO app and it was an awesome experience. This house is located right on the river with a great view. Waking up and looking at the morning fog was amazing. If you are looking to get a way with your family that is quite and away from the hustle and bustle then this is the house to rent. Don was great with communication and checked in to make sure things were ok.

Wonderful house for relaxing

We were a group of 5 adults and 2 small children (2 & 5). Everything was so comfortable and relaxing! Plenty of space to spread out, sleep or hang out together! The house has everything you need to cook your meals, plenty of spices too! The swing under the deck was incredible, I wish there were multiple. It was always a nice temp under there, especially with the breeze. Location is very convenient for a float down the White River (Riley’s Outfitter was amazing), and not too far to float the Buffalo (we used Buffalo River Float Service this trip). If you’ve got down time and want to get out, I highly recommend visiting Reactive Tactics in Mountain Home (it’s kinda like the original Nintendo Duck Hunt on steroids!) Look it up! Book it! You will love the peacefulness!

Great Cabin. Definitely Recommend

Super easy communication, extremely nice and clean property. Everything was exactly what we were looking for in our trip. River was high on our trip but still caught more fish than we were planning on with the water the way it was. Would highly recommend the cabin and we will hopefully be back again soon.

Amazing River Views

This cabin did not disappoint! The river views are outstanding and the space was perfect for our family. Communication with the host was so extremely easy and they were very helpful with any questions we had. Despite the extreme heat which made enjoying outside hard (they even provided corn hole boards) and the opening of the flood gates which made fishing off the bank difficult, we made the most of it. We had great family time with the board games provided and the opportunity to truly unplug. The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved using the grill and the griddle. It is easy access (around 20 minutes) to Mountain Home if you did need to run errands but we loved just staying put. We will definitely be back but it will be in the spring or fall!
