Incredible View, Privacy & Private hot tub!

Canyon Cottage is 1100 sq feet and is located on the property adjacent to Baycrest Lodge with fully stocked kitchen, private hot tub & fire pit, washer/dryer and all new furnishings. The privacy and view are unbeatable! This cottage is perfect for a couple or small family looking for a comfortable home with an incredible, unobstructed view of Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains!

Unlike all of our other units, we did not build Canyon Cottage. Prior to renting it out we remodeled it and it looks amazing! Have a sense of humor when you’re staying because of the location of some of the lighting, ceiling height on the stairs, bedroom sizes, among other quirks, has us chuckling! While the cottage has it’s quirks, the incredible view and privacy more than make up for that!

We provide: Bedding/linens, blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, hand soap, kleenex, toilet paper, hair dryer, bathroom spray, Qtips, dishes, wine glasses, cookware, utensils, kitchen towels, sponge, dish soap, spices, cooking spray, paper towels, coffee, coffee filters, creamers, sugar, tea, hot chocolate, tin foil, laundry detergent and trash bags.

What a view

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. Private, clean and close to town. The best part of staying here was watching the mother moose and her 2 babies from the hot tub.The owners are very friendly and helpful if you need anything.Wonderful place.

Private with Stunning View

Four of us stayed here and found a lot of thought went in to providing guests with excellent kitchen tools and appliances. Everything we needed and then some was found in the kitchen. Home was very clean with comfortable beds. The view is stunning with a feeling of staying in a secluded, private area. Elderly folks who cant do stairs will find a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Home has a nice ramp leading up to the front door. Highly recommended.

Completely underrated property

This house is private, spacious, conveniently located, well equipped, very reasonably priced and could definitely sleep a family of 6. It is conveniently located just outside the madness of the spit, but close enough to it that you can get there in about 5 minutes. The views are breathtaking and the eagles buzz the house constantly. If you stay anywhere in homer it should be this house or another one offered by Baycrest Lodge. Have already sent the listing to numerous friends and family. Staff were excellent even though we never saw them. We got in late and they left the key for us. Can’t speak highly enough about this place

Elegant Seaside Retreat

From the moment we pulled up the drive through the trees and past the fireweed we were awe struck at the view of Kachemak Bay. As we entered the property we were transported into an elegant seaside retreat complete with nautical decor, vaulted ceilings and a kitchen that would support any of your culinary endeavors. Out the back door to the patio we were carried to a dining nook and premium gas grill that was enjoyed nearly every night by our family as we grilled up fresh caught salmon and halibut that were in ample supply in the rivers and charters as well as the amazing shops along the spit. When we were ready to unwind we were pleasantly surprised to find the jacuzzi was already at the perfect temperature and was large enough for the whole family to talk about the next days plans and to reflect once again on the absolute beauty of your surroundings. Once night fell we enjoyed s’mores and laughs in the fire pit area (which had the largest supply of firewood I’ve ever seen at any rental property ), which was staked in a circle as a natural border to the fire pit and was an ingenious design aspect that we revealed on throughout the trip. The only thing that was disappointing about the whole experience we had was leaving knowing that we had to leave this oasis of the Arctic and return to the grind of real life . Since leaving we have all we have discussed is returning to the property and reliving this dream experience all over again. We can’t wait!!

Spectacular!!

Everything about our visit to Homer exceeded expectations. From the drive from Anchorage to pulling in at the house. Words truly can not describe the view upon pulling in and parking the car. Smooth and easy check in and the house is amazing! From the cleanliness to the amenities to the comfort of the bed. We used the upstairs bedroom, as it was just the two of us. Did I mention the views?!! The deck is wonderful, with views that make you want to move here. The hot tub is incredible, clean and we used it daily. It was lovely watching the sea otters and boats in the inlet and Eagles flying over the property. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Alaska.

Amazing Homer Vacation

My wife and I stayed here last year. It was such an amazing vacation we came back this year with our college age children. The house is wonderful with amazing views. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub every evening while looking at the mountains and bay. Just a wonderful place.

Best VRBO we have ever stayed

The house was very well equipped including a gas outdoor grill, full kitchen, etc... Like being at home! The covered deck was used every day (good or bad weather) and the salt water spa was also used every day. Living room and bedrooms were comfort for four adults.

Charming and cozy cottage

What a beautiful place. The location was absolutely breathtaking. We sat hot tub until midnight watching the sunset. In the morning, we sat on the deck watching the whales play in the distance.

Great property with a great view

The Canyon Cabin was perfect for our stay. Very well stocked with items for the trip! We utilized the fire pit and hot tub and greatly enjoyed the view from the property. We would definitely come back to stay again.

Truly breathtaking

The views from this cabin are out of this world. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. It was even better than the photos online! Having a private hot tub was a huge bonus and made our trip so relaxing. It was so quiet! We watched otters, whales and eagles from the deck. I have stayed at many vrbos and this one was by far the cleanest I have ever experienced. We cannot wait to stay again!

Simply amazing!

Truly incredible stay. The view is simply stunning and the home is perfect in so many ways. Extremely peaceful and quiet with no close neighbors. The home has everything you would need. Kitchen was fully loaded with every dish, pot, pan, silverware, and appliance you would want. And the appliances are all high quality. The hosts even provided condiments, tea, coffee, dish soap, hand soap, Kleenex, toilet paper, etc. Very cozy beds and plenty of pillows, towels, etc. Sitting at the dining table or the back porch and enjoying the view is hard to describe until you see it yourself. Pictures do not do it justice. And after a long hike enjoying the local scenery, relax in the awesome hot tub. This thing is the real deal with high quality jets that are incredible. The entire family enjoyed it every day. We truly did not want to leave. And the washer/dryer came in very handy (detergent provided). Lastly, Jen was extremely responsive and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this home for your family or a group of friends.

Beautiful Kachamak Bay

Beautiful property! Stunning views from the entire place, especially the hot tub. Very clean and well-appointed – everything we needed was there. No complaints at all, our expectations were met or exceeded in every way! Highly recommend.
