Welcome to our oceanfront Modern Lodge on Manzanita Beach! Our Modern Lodge was just remodeled, and is perfect for your Oregon Coast vacation. Our oceanfront rental boasts unobstructed views of the incredible seven mile sandy Manzanita Beach and Neahkahnie Mountain, and is a short walk to the main street of Manzanita, where you'll find creative, independent shops and eateries. We just finished our remodel and features the the perfect blend of modern, clean decor and northwest features such as a large, woodturning fireplace and soaring cedar ceilings and beams. With room for up to 14* guests you'll find our Modern Lodge on Manzanita Beach offers the perfect setting for vacations, family reunions, and work retreats.

You’ll find many wonderful touches and amenities perfect for your group experience:
• A large, ocean view fully equipped open kitchen concept with spacious counters and lots of equipment perfect for the most discerning cook, or simply gathering to create the perfect meal.
• Huge extendable dining table for up to 14* guests. And you'll be able to gather together to enjoy family, friends, or co-workers while surrounded by ocean views.
• Gather together on the large deck overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean to relax or toast the spectacular ocean sunsets or BBQ on the large propane grill.
• Gather on the stone patio around the crackling fire pit..
• Enjoy the wood burning fireplaces in either the large great room or cozy family room while watching either of the the large HDTVs.

Our Modern Large offers many types of sleeping arrangements:
• Huge king bed master suite with private sitting area next to the incredible ocean view, soaring ceilings, and master bathroom with walk in european shower.
• A second king bedroom on the main floor with a high end sofa expandable to a queen bed.
• A third king bedroom on the first floor offers privacy in a cozy setting.
• The first floor bunk room features six twin sized bunk beds.
• Queen bed in sleeping area.
• No waiting in line to get ready! The main floor bathroom features a european tub/shower plus a double sink, and the first floor bathroom features a large glass shower and double sink.

From the incredible designer decor to the perfect ocean view beachfront location, the Modern lodge is truly a special vacation rental to create terrific memories with family or friends, or enjoy a unique beach front location for workshops or retreats on the scenic northern Oregon Coast.

*This house accommodates up to 12 people 3 years and over, plus 2 children 2 years and younger. Ask about pets - guests enter or note the number of pets when booking. There is a charge for each pet.
Guests must sign a Rental Agreement before arrival.

Great location and fabulous house. Not much of an ocean view due to across the street bushes and trees too tall to see over, but a short walk to the beach to see the ocean. Enjoyed my nice quiet weekend away by myself!

Blissful Getaway

This home was charming, clean and comfortable. Its location across from manzanita Beach can not be beat. We took long strolls along the beach in the morning with the grandkids and then back with them in the evenings to fly kites and jump off the sandy grass dunes. We loved the gas fire pit behind the home and visiting there as a family. It was a wonderful vacation and now a lasting memory.

Lovely home, great for families

Our two families had a wonderful stay at the lodge in Manzanita. The space is well appointed, with both large common spaces, and the ability for the kids to have their own floor to spread out, play games, etc. There's easy access to town and local amenities, and the beach is right across the road. Overall a great stay and very accurate listing.

A Truly Delightful Spot on the Coast

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful lodge, with modern Pacific Northwest decor at its finest. Spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a spectacular living room space, and a well-stocked kitchen. Views of the beach and the sunset to the right from the front deck. A few steps across the road to the beach, and just a few blocks' walk in the other direction to the town of Manzanita. Perfection!

Family Weekend

This was the perfect place for 3 families, each of 4, each with 2 teens. The teens slept in the bunk beds (they are all tall, 3 of them over 6 feet, so the bunks were a little short, but they fit and were fine. The other beds are super comfortable. The house has fabulous open spaces upstairs and a huge comfortable couch that allowed for game playing, the table has leaves to extend it, allowing for us all to eat together. There is plenty of cookware, plenty of serving dishes/plates/silverware, etc. So close to the beach with really easy access, and walking distance (either on the beach or the road) to the main street in Manzanita for coffee and donuts :) We will definitely rent again, this is one of the best beach houses we have ever borrowed!

Right across the street from the beach at Manzanita. What a wonderful way to spend quality time with our family. The accommodations were terrific, and communication with our host was superb!

Perfect beach house in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was well stocked and in excellent condition when we got there. The view of the beach and the surrounding landscape are picturesque. We enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit and the front deck. Access to the beach is an easy walk and the road in front of the house has minimal traffic. I definitely recommend staying at this beach house.

We won't be back

This was a very well located property and it accommodated our group of 13 nicely. The following exceptions lessened the experience. The curb appeal was generally messy. Yard unkempt. Old furniture either rusted or broken was stored visibly under back deck and around sides of house. A LOT of old wood from maybe a roofing or siding project plus big bags of who knows what under deck. Hose was running onto driveway when we arrived. House was misrepresented as having a view. The bushes had grown to a height that obliterated any chance of a view as shown in web site pictures from living room. Only a peek a boo view from one corner of deck was attainable. The pillows on couch were pilled and appeared very worn and I daresay dingy. The two living room chairs were very uncomfortable. Perhaps the red upholstered chairs in master bedroom would have been more appropriate in the living room. However we were warned not to move furniture. We were charged a service fee for NOT bringing a dog when we asked for a refund of one dog deposit. Requiring 2 loads of laundry to be done before check out was unusual. The throw rugs all had curled corners and proved to be a tripping hazard as well as unsightly and worn.

Great set up for family vacation!!

Loved this location and the house! Everyone had tons of room, kids loved the bunk room and their own areas. Sunset views are perfect and proximity to beach was amazing. Home is exceptionally equipped for all your cooking needs even for a special occasion. Very cleans and thoughtfully decorated. A great VRBO experience!! Highly recommend!!!

Family time

The house was great with plenty of room for for our family of nine. Liked the open living room, dining room and kitchen. Deck with view a bonus. Beds were comfortable. Easy walk to the large sandy beach. Very enjoyable 3 nights.

Beautiful setting and beach!

We celebrated our Mother's 80th birthday here and it worked well for our party of 9 adults- parents, kids and grandkids but all over 20 yrs. Plenty of seating around dining and living rooms- great open layout for gathering. Bedding was comfortable and whole house was nicely appointed throughout. We cooked pretty much all meals for the entire week so we were quite happy with the kitchen set up. We also were able to use the fire pit one evening and make s'mores one night so that was really nice too! Across the street was an incredible beach which we walked everyday- so clean, wide and long- perfect for a nice long stroll! Short walk to downtown where you can find some cute shops and grocery stores are very close by as well. Everything was very convenient and Cannon Beach is just a short drive away.

Just cannot recommend

House is standard and clean. The walk to the beach is on a coast front road with traffic. The town is very calm with few open air coffee shops and soup and sandwich or pizza places. Two small grocery stores. The site says it accommodates 14, but only if you have 8 children under 8 (4th bedroom is 8 bunk beds) Too expensive for what you get. The most important downside is the management.. Read the reviews and you will understand. It is insanely restrictive reservation system. I booked it 3 months in advance, but says the booking is not valid until one signs the contract and I had a couple of questions before signing. When I got the response, it did not fit what we wanted. Still 80 plus days before booking and no signed contract, she charges my credit card. The insurance does not cover bookings after 90 days of arrival. So, my family was flying from all over the world after my husband's death and the last thing I needed was to be unhappy early in the planned vacation. So we went. I f you still rent this, have a walk-out check with someone before leaving the house and make them sign that all is well. We did not and were then accused of keeping a sheepskin rug. Initially I thought well if she says it must be true, maybe we left it in the backyard and someone passing by took it... I asked my family but nobody had taken it out of the house, and remember seeing it in the floor of one of bedrooms. But when i talked to her, then the small sheepskin rug, became a very LARGE and expensive sheepskin rug (you can see it in the photo of her living room and it is not). I volunteered to talk to the cleaning crew since we thought it could have been picked up from the floor with the dirty sheets. (Did I forget to say you have to do laundry before you leave, and because of covid, per her instructions package, you get one roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels per guest). There are plenty other places to rent. I just cannot recommend any of her listings (they own several houses at Manzanita) PS: .I am bracing myself for her response to this post of mine.

Great family vacation property

The property was clean and nicely decorated. We have a family of 9...5 adults and 4 children ages 5 -11. The king beds in each of the 3 bedrooms were comfortable and the bunk room perfect for the. kids. Each of the. 6 bunks are recessed for privacy and quiet, and included a shelf, light and outlet. The beach access is just a few steps down a quiet street. We would definitely repeat out stay here!

This is a great place if you are looking to comfortably sleep lots of people.

Nice house but wouldn't stay again

This is a nice, comfortable house next to a beautiful beach. However, we found the ownership pretty unpleasant to deal with. There are tons of incredibly nitpicky requirements, which are enforced in what feels like an ungracious and unwelcoming manner. For example, guests may only use a certain fraction of the garbage can, calculated based on length of stay (or incur a two hundred plus charge), but our can was already full on arrival. When we notified the owner, instead of just taking care of it, we had to spend a chunk of our day corresponding with the owner about exactly how much trash was in the can (we had to take and send pictures because she didn't believe us), how much we were allowed to use (1/3 of one can), and then waiting another day for a service to look into it. Not how we wanted to spend part of our Saturday. There were many other rules along those lines, each with their own threat of how much she would charge us for any violation. All of it adds up to a punitive and unpleasant feeling. We've rented comparable houses around the Northwest (and have received 5 stars from every other owner, so we were not cause for extra concern), and never felt this way before. There are many nice houses in Manzanita, so we'd look elsewhere next time.
