HOT TUB CLOSES NOV. 30th. Reopens May 1st, 2025. Fishermen welcome! We can accommodate three to four 20-22ft boats along with pick up trucks. Located 10 minutes from historic Downtown Sandusky, 10-15 minutes to Cedar Point, 10-15 minutes to Sports Force, Waterparks, and fishing! This newly renovated, spacious home can accommodate large families and groups in a woodsy, secluded area. The property features a private hot tub, large front and back yards, spacious accommodations, off street parking, a fire pit, and pool table. We kindly ask that you respect our NO PETS policy.

It was a girl's weekend with family (cousins and a sister in law). We do this annually and try to stay in Ohio and see different areas of our state. We did not use the hot tub but we built a fire in the firepit and enjoyed a lovely evening outside. We went to a fall festival in Lakeside (Marblehead) and ate at Red's Lakehouse and then went to downtown Sandusky and walked around the lake and Battery Park. The owner was amazing and called me instead of just texting. It's nice to hear the human voice :) Would highly recommend staying!

Great space for large group

We had a large family group stay at the house. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. There were some games and toys for our 4-year-olds to play with.We got plenty of use out of the spacious backyard, garage, hot tub, and pool table. Everything was spotless. Adult beds were comfy. Mattresses on the twin beds are pretty firm, but the kiddos slept fine on them.The back of the lot is close to the highway but we really had no issues with noise from the traffic. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from all the places we were visiting. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Cedar Point Family Trip

Great location with lots of room and extra amenities were a bonus! Met the needs from the oldest to the youngest in our family. We will return to this awesome location and home.

Nice place!

We rented this to use as a place to stay while visting cedar point. Driveway is a little hard to find but the privacy and having us all in one place vs multiple hotel rooms was amazing. Everyone loved the house and ammenities it offered.

Summer in Sandusky

Everyone had a great time. The hot tub was a hit with adults and kids too! Plenty of room inside and out for our large group. Good location for all our activities. Highly recommended!

Great Stay

A great place for family fun! We had plenty of room in the house and loved the outdoor space for volleyball and family games. Great location with stores nearby like Sam’s Club. Easy check in and check out and had a good experience with quick response from building manager. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful getaway

This house was super clean and comfortable for our party of 11. Lots of space to eat, nice big kitchen, wonderful outdoor space and a hot tub! Owner was super responsive and friendly!

Great house for large groups!

This house has plenty of space for a large group! We had an entire softball team and coaches there for a long tournament weekend and it was great! Fire pit and volleyball net were great! Close to the parks and stores. Only recommendation would be to get a garage fridge for drinks, keeping coolers iced all weekend was tough. Great place! We will definitely stay there again!

Peaceful hideaway

This is a charming and quiet home in a great location. It was a great place for a family get away. The rooms are spacious and we loved having coffee on the back deck. It was a shame it rained. We had plan to make s'mores at the fire pit. Hope to return again.

Works well for a large group

We were very comfortable and had a wonderful time. Despite the good instructions provided, it was tricky to find, for us and the local pizza delivery man.

Dance Competition

Two famlies here for a dance competition at Kalahari. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for our 2 families. Property was huge and had lots of fun with hot tub and playing bags. First time driving in property was difficult to find but once you know where it is no trouble coming and going. Would definitely stay again!

Large house with lots of space

Stayed here for my daughters wedding weekend. She was married down the road at The Winerie. This was the perfect location for our family and close friends to get ready and hang out. Plenty of space for everyone. We had 10 people in our group.

Great Spaces for Large Family

This property was a great woodsy location for our Lake Erie family vacation/reunion. It had easy highway access and plenty of space for our 13 family members. We enjoyed the backyard spaces in our down time. The garage game room/bar area was an unexpected bonus, although a drink refrigerator would have topped it off. The location would have been a little tricky to find, but the owners gave us very clear directions ahead of time and were always quick to respond with any question.

Outdoors for Veterans

Another awesome three day stay at this location. Top-notch as we expected and just as it was last year. Eight disabled veterans enjoy their getaway while I fishing, get to know each other, fellowship, and some friendly cornhole in the backyard. Late nights hanging in the garage, talking about everything under the sun. From all of us at Americas Freedom Lodge we thank you.

Dance Family Home

We enjoyed our visit so much!! It was exactly what we needed. Close to Kalahari for our dance competition but have us private secluded space. The kids could run and play without the fear of who else was around. Jess was quick to reply and communicated well! Would rent again!!

Perfect house !

First thing I have to say is WOW! This house was so perfect for the large group of people I stayed with for this past weekend. The people were so nice and easy to communicate with, the house was so clean and updated. I will be staying here every time I’m in Sandusky or near it. 10/10

A place for Friendship and relaxation

It fit in with our event perfectly. We hosted 8 disabled Veterans for a weekend of Walleye fishing. Shared a lot of stories, laughter and a few tears. Back yard was perfect for an evening of friendly Corn hole. As described to a T.

Family reunion trip

Great sized house with plenty of space for our group of 10 (4 of those are teens). Pleasantly surprised with the finished garage space which is not advertised in the listing's pics. Entire outdoor area is amazing and wonderful for hanging out. The house overall feels dated with obvious upgrades throughout. The surfaces are all sticky (kitchen counters, tables, handrails on the stairs, etc). It is most likely from whatever cleaning agent is used. Location is great, but some highway noise can be heard from inside the house if that's something that bothers you. Very happy with the amount of starter supplies provided by the host. Comfy beds.

Cedar Point Visit

Overall the house was good for 8 adults. It wasn’t the easiest driveway to find in the dark but we managed. The property is large with a great yard space for outdoor games plus a nice fire pit and deck area. My husband enjoyed the hot tub almost every night after long days at Cedar Point. Bring bug spray because it’s definitely a wooded lot with lots of mosquitoes. There is a busy road on one side of the house separated by a tree line. That didn’t bother us at all. There garage area has a table to gather for dinner or games but we only used it once because we came at a very hot time of the year. The house itself is a bit dated but I expected that from the photos. We loved having 3 baths to utilize but the upstairs one definitely needs some tlc. Bedrooms were fine but all of the carpet needs replaced. We did laundry everyday which was great. We had one small issue which the host fixed quickly and she was very responsive. The location was great. Short driving distance for food and the drive to the point was pretty smooth. The house had all of the necessary utensils and even beach towels were provided. Overall we had a great trip and would recommend this property to others as well.

Country living close to Cedar Point

The house is as described. The host, Jess was very responsive to our needs. Plenty of room for all16 of us. We only slept 15 on one night. Most nights we slept 12-14 so everyone had a bed. Didn’t have to use the sleep sofa but it was available. The beds were comfortable. The big long table in the dining room was great for dinner and games the one night it rained but we spent most of the time outside on either the deck outside the kitchen or the lower level deck by the hot tub. Hot tub was enjoyed by everyone! The fire pit was great one night with s’mores and ghost in the graveyard. There was one game of volleyball! Many games of pool played. So much to do! Two or three trips to Cedar Point and discovering downtown Sandusky. The 4-12 year olds enjoyed a visit to the Children’s museum. All the kids said this was a favorite house.

Overall, this was a fantastic rental for our group of 12. We loved having a kitchen table large enough for all of us and the pool table downstairs and volleyball net outside were hits with the kids. We were in the Sandusky area mostly to visit Cedar Point, and the theme park was a short 15 minute drive. One thing that is not clear from the listing is that this "country" rental is directly off a large highway (the driveway is immediately past the overpass bridge) with some highway noise audible round the clock. It's not loud enough to be troublesome most of the time, but definitely wasn't the "country" location we expected. While initially we were worried this would be an issue, it ultimately didn't affect our stay and we would stay here again if in the area in the future. The property manager was very responsive with a small issue that needed assistance.

Cute Backyard

This place was pretty secluded, but the highway right next to the property was loud. The house is nice, but older, so there were no ceiling fans/lights. It was nice to have 3 bathrooms for the 6 of us staying there. Not sure what the $50 "additional guest fee" was for, because it sleeps 16 people and we only had 6 (originally supposed to be 7). We loved the hot tub and even enjoyed our coffee in there some mornings. There were some burnt out light bulbs, no hair dryer (although it's in the amenities list), fire starter but no lighter, and missing batteries from some of the TV remotes. Overall, our experience was good though and the host was easy to get ahold of for any questions.
