Bright Idea is a beach front villa overlooking Chalk Sound.

Bright Idea is a wonderfully appointed beach front villa nestled in manicured gardens and overlooking the tranquil turquoise waters of chalk sound. Sitting on just under 2 acres, this villa includes a 2-story main house and 2 guest pods connected by a pool deck and large swimming pool.
Upstairs in the main house you will find 2 king bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, walk in closets and private deck access. Downstairs is a living room with 72' smart TV, a half bath, fully equipped kitchen and breakfast nook. Although designed to take full advantage of the cool sea breeze, there is the option of AC throughout.
The main house is flanked on either side by a guest cottage. Each of the 2 guest cottages has its only private entrance. Inside you will find king bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, a kitchenette' with small dining table and a living room with seating. Each Pod also has its own private deck with ocean views. Guests who stay in the pods will also enjoy cable tv both in the living rooms and bedrooms and optional air conditioning.
In addition to the private on property beach guests will also have access Taylor Bay Beach.

The location cannot be beat. Your own private beach, walk to Taylor and Sapodilla beach, access to Chalk Sound, great pool, well equipped kitchen, etc.

Wonderful family escape

We had an amazing stay at Bright Idea. House and 2 cottages were perfect for our family! In our opinion, Taylor Bay is the most beautiful beach on the island, and we were just a 5 minute walk away! Blue Heron was very helpful and mid-week cleaning was an added bonus! House was immaculately clean! They had everything we needed from floats to beach chairs to sandcastle toys!

Long Awaited Family Vacation

We loved Bright Idea. It was perfect for our family. One family stayed in the main house and the two couples each stayed in a guesthouse. Pool is big and there were plenty of beach towels, deck chairs and floaties. The beach was nice. We actually renewed our vows on the beach. Kitchen is well stocked. Our expectations Weren’t just met, they were exceeded. I would stay hat Bright Idea again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic view!

This house has such a nice view with its own private beach. It is also a short walk from a super pristine beach that looks like something you have seen on TV. The house can use a little bit of maintenance, but it is super comfortable for 4 couples. We ate every meal outside with a view of the pool and the Chalk Sound beyond that.

Bright Idea and Chalk Sound

Wonderful! The main house and the two pods were perfect for four couples. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook large meals. The BBQ Grill was brand new and had a full tank of propane! The property manager Michael was very attentive to all of our needs! I can’t say enough except I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing

We stayed at Bright Idea for my 40th birthday. My Mom, Dad, Brother, Husband, daughter and I. The room situation was perfect for us, and would be great for four couples as well. There were two apartments by the pool and two bedrooms with great views upstairs. It was spread out and nice to have our own spaces. Great bedding and linens. Kitchen and toys for pool well equipped (floaties, beach chairs and toys). We loved the private beach and the pool was amazing. AC in the main spaces and bedroom kept the house cool enough for us. Great distance to both beautiful beaches Sapodilla and Taylor Bay. Spent a lot of time there. Took the kayaks out once, but was windy during our stay. About 20-25ish minutes to Grace Bay Area - we loved Leeward beach there. We needed umbrellas for shade during our trip and George delivered two for us the next day. He also gave us a phone to communicate locally and help us get around the island which was very helpful! He gave a tour of the place and met us for check in. Additionally, helped us get a lost item back. We appreciated his help and going above and beyond to help us.

Relaxing Week

Enjoyed our week in Turks & Caicos. Just a few things about the house. It is need of some updating and attention. Frying pan was warped. Sheets had a 1 inch hole in them. A few towels need to be replaced. The outside & grounds of the house are beautiful. And really, you don't go to a beautiful island to sit inside! We have stayed in dozens of houses in the Caribbean. All have always listed if the pool is not heated. Was disappointed that it was not included in the listing. The water in the pool was colder than the ocean so we couldn't use it. All the restaurants that are close were great! There is plenty of floats available. Only 1 set of snorkel gear. Enjoyed our trip.

Great stay in a well-stocked, lovely home

We stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks and we had 3 separate families staying with two babies. overall we had a great stay! We liked having our own space with a bit of privacy for each family. we loved going out to eat and our favorite places were Las Brisas which is super close and Mango Reef! Pros: - the house keeping service was great and friendly. The place was super clean - beautiful view. Love the location close to Taylor Bay - love that kayaks and snorkel equipment and pool toys are provided. as well as coolers and umbrellas to take to the beach! - the house is well stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pots, and appliances. had everything we needed to make most meals at home! Some of the nonstick pans need to be replaced though as the nonstick was coming off in our food - having the separate pods was great to give each family their own space and privacy - host dropped off an extension cord which we needed which was very kind - beautiful pool which was very clean - lots of towels and linens provided - beds were comfy - showers were nice and hot - A/C worked when needed (tried to mostly use windows when we could) Cons: - a lot of the windows can't be opened because the crank has been stripped by people trying to open them without unlocking them first (in the pod on the right there are 9 windows and only 2 can be opened). Not being able to open the windows makes it hot, and we were trying to conserve electricity - the daily electricity limit was a mystery so had no idea the whole trip if we would be charged a lot extra or not - the patio doors are very hard to open and/or extremely loud when opened/closed - wifi was great in the main house but spotty sometimes in the pods, and we had to reset the router a few times there - the foliage blocks the view of the sound from inside the pool, and also the view from the pods. I suppose it provides privacy for the pods but we would've preferred the view of the sound - much of the snorkeling equipment provided is broken/not usable. Only one beach chair provided and it looks broken. - several occasions there's a pipe that sprays fluid into the air near the left pod and it smells bad
