Spacious 3 bedroom 4 bathroom home near the manistee national forest

This beautiful 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house sleeps 12 and includes full direct access to D bar D Ranch equestrian facilities. Stalls are available on site to bring horses with you.
Full House rental

The house includes wall mount TVs and surround sound. There is an upstairs suite with two twin beds and a roll away cot. A main floor suite with a king size bed and roll away cot. A downstairs suite with a full size bed and roll away cot. All suites have an on suite bathroom and include full access to the kitchen, living room, deck and outdoor spaces. 2 pull out sofas available and lots of space

We have 400 acres of true free-range Michigan white tail deer.
For an additional charge of $100 per hunter we do offer hunting on our property
ALL HUNTS ARE SELF GUIDED. You will be shown a map of the property and location of stands and ground blinds. We will show you trail cam pictures so you can see when and where the deer are traveling. You are responsible for recovery and processing of game animal. All Michigan DNR laws and regulations will be followed, or you will be asked to leave.

On site fishing is available in our stocked ponds including Bass, perch and sunfish

The property provides beautiful views and as the snow falls you'll find amazing DNR snowmobiling trails 1/2 mile away.

The 400 acres of private land also contains several miles of trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing

Wedding and Reception Venue Information:
The Rustic Barn can accommodate up to 150 wedding/ reception guests and includes 15 8 foot round tables and 10 8 foot rectangle tables, 150 chairs and porta potties for guests.
The Pole Barn can accommodate up to 150 wedding/ reception guests.
Catering is available at a per plate price for the rehearsal and wedding.
Center pieces, table clothes and arches are also available for a small rental fee
We also offer wagon rides through the beautiful 400 acre property with many photo opportunities.
The overnight lodging indoors plus camping and RV options outdoors at D bar D Ranch is a definite draw and make it a true destination wedding experience.

For your convenience, we have a suggested vendor list of local providers whom we know and love.
There is a $1,000 nonrefundable security deposit to hold the date.

We do not offer discounts for fewer wedding/ reception guests. However, if you're interested in having a small, indoor wedding or elopement AND also have 50 guests or fewer, we are happy to discuss pricing and options.
Weekend rate for Weddings Friday - Sunday is $5000 for the entire property (both barns and the house and yard)

The location and setting is great. However, The photo of the home is at least 10 years old. Home is worn since then. All of the outdoor furniture is Inside the living room and kitchen are very nice. But not enough for even 6 adults. Kitchen table Hugh with lots of chairs. Down stairs bed frame and box spring was broken. Had to sleep with it on the floor.Up stairs twins are kids size not fit for adults. All windows were very dirtyWindows so dirty.The house is in a good location for bike riding. We did have to trailer to the trails each day. Which worked great.With 5000 this place would be amazing fine. No decor on walls very plan for what is called a Lodge. We are not picky people. We just want what is advertised on VRBO. Don't like finding out the home has issues on arrival.

Family Reunion Week

The lodge is so spacious! Along with the bedrooms with attached baths, and the large main room and kitchen there are additional rooms that allowed the 5 children to play separately from the adult conversations. Ludington State park is close enough for a day trip and often there are horse shows at the other end of the property. A wonderful place.

Beautiful Vacation Home, Even Better Event Property

Joyce's vacation rental is a beauty. It is much larger than it looks from the photos. Joyce was super sweet, very responsive and reached right back out to us when we had questions or needs. The property itself is huge ... it is perfect for someone who is looking for a quiet, secluded spot to just relax or for someone with horses looking for a place to board and ride while on vacation. The home is an even better event location, as the barns are gorgeous and so clean. The home would nicely compliment the event as a place for people to get ready, food to be prepared, etc. I would highly recommend it for weddings and events. As for a vacation home, the location of the house is somewhat rural and most of the nearest attractions or day trips are an 1 hour+ away. For those looking for a place to get away and just sit and rest, this would be the perfect location for you. For those looking to go out and do something off property, there isn't much locally within a 15-30 minute drive other than for light groceries/needs. Being someone who rents vacation homes regularly, I did have some question about the overall cleanliness of the home, as there were a few issues that we brought to Joyce and she did her best to accommodate and make things better for us. The thermostat in the upper bedroom wasn't working and someone was supposedly coming to look at it but it didn't happen during the 2.5 days we were there. That made for some really warm nights in that upper bedroom and I wish that had been resolved while we were there so our guests could have had an easier time sleeping. My suggestions for other guests planning to visit - bring bag chairs to sit in while on the back patio. The view from the patio is beautiful but the furniture out there isn't in the best condition. Some of the pieces of furniture were damaged or being held together with zipties. Another guest had brought a pet (even though the home is not dog friendly) and left pet hair all over the cushions of the outside furniture. Having someone with an allergy to pets, this made the furniture undesirable to sit on. The grill is also unusable - it hasn't been taken care of over time from other guests and there were no tools to try to clean it. Overall, the home is gorgeous and the high end finishes (like the kitchen and bathrooms) makes this a beautiful place to host an event and if you are looking for somewhere to have an event, I would encourage you to check this place out.

Intimate Group Setting for Meeting

The home and property was a perfect location for our overnight group meeting and getaway. We had nine ladies from around the State of Michigan meet here as it was a good central location. The house was perfect for sleeping accommodations, group discussions, meals and social fun for our small group. We loved it so much that we hope to use for our group meeting again, or even some of the ladies would even like to reserve it for their own personal use. Highly recommend if you like a private setting with lots of space.

Best stay ever

We have been renting a bunch of rental houses but never have had more pleasant stay and better time spent in a rental property. If you looking for a peaceful vacation/gataway this is the best choise. You won't regret... natural beauties, lovely cozy house (the house is quite big, btw), nice playground for the kids and huge back yard. Fa-ka-wee ladies came to the house with 5-6 sweet horses while we were enjoying the morning coffee at the porch and offerred horseback riding for the kids. Great experience! Huge appreciation to Joyce!
