What a lovely stay we had at Le Metairie! The host Patrick met us on arrival and provided some lovely welcome gifts, including a delicious cake from a local artisan bakery. The accommodation was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and everything we could want to enjoy our fortnight's holiday was provided. Our family especially enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing table tennis and then relaxing in the large sitting room in the evenings. Patrick's Information Folder gave us lots of tips on where to eat and what to visit and we enjoyed learning about winemaking - and sampling some excellent wine - at one of his recommended places. We had a lovely evening meal at Le Cabine and also at the Garden Restaurant in Creon as well as lunch at Auberge D'Haux. It was a perfect house and location for our family holiday - and we were even treated on our last day to a deer visiting the garden! Thank you Patrick!

Stunning Property

What a beautiful setting. The property is stunning with vineyards in the distance, magnificent trees and the flowers will be beautiful. Inside the accommodations were trés bon! Love the arches, very spacious, clean and well maintained. Lots of hot water and great pressure to shower. Would stay here again.

Five Night Stay in Haux

Extremely well equipped to a high standard. We were welcomed with essential groceries, a bottle of wine and a speciality dessert of the region. Patrick was available if we needed him and managed the pool/cover. He was private and discreet. We have stayed in gites many times and this was one of the best with a great pool.

Another fantastic stay at La Métairie!

We stayed for 2 weeks this year and also 2 weeks last year and both visits were absolutely perfect. Last year was during a 40C heatwave and the house was cool throughout which was much appreciated! This year we visited in May/June and temperatures were much kinder (25-30C) but swimming was still fine as the pool is still at 27C and kept very clean by Patrick. Your host (Patrick) is perfection - he is very polite and kind and has a good sense of humour but he leaves you completely alone and you will only see him if he is cleaning the pool or if you need his help with anything. Another perfect stay in a stunning area, thank you so much Patrick.

An absolutely perfect holiday!

This is a perfect property with a perfect (and extremely kind) owner, Patrick. The house is a beautiful old farmhouse with lovely rooms and a great mix of classical features and contemporary feel everywhere. You will lack nothing, Patrick has provided everything and to a very high standard. We stayed here during the 2022 June/July heatwave where the temperature sat at around 35-37C for nearly 2 weeks and we never felt the heat inside the house (the lounge is especially cool due to the situation of the house and the thickness of its walls) and the shaded outside areas were so helpful. On top of that, you have the pool for cooling off. The owner, Patrick, is a very genial, kind man and I believe from chatting to him that the whole building is his family home. Patrick lives at one end of the building but you will never know he is there as the building is totally sound-proofed and Patrick is incredibly discrete. He is available if you need help but otherwise you will not see him! We are quite private people and we felt totally secure and private throughout the stay. The exterior and garden areas are full of old trees which provide shade on a hot day as well as multiple lovely seating areas, a BBQ, a sturdy hammock and grass to walk and play on. The swimming pool is the nicest we have ever been lucky to use in France in 10 years of visiting. It is below-ground which means it is warmer than other types of pool, typically 27C temp in June, early-July when we were there. Half of the pool is shallow but it gradually slopes down to a deeper area for those that want it. For little ones, there are 3 shallow steps at the shallow end of the pool to sit with them. It could not be more perfect and Patrick manages to keep it very clean without you even noticing! This part of France is magical. It is an area very rich in wine and food and weather is noticeably warmer than the north of France. There are dozens of restaurants in easy driving distance, pretty villages and towns all around and Bordeaux is a vibrant, fun city to visit (which we did on multiple occasions). We will certainly be returning next year without question and are already looking forward to it!

Fortunately, the accommodation is fresh. We really now have the climate of the South of France, we will have to plant olive and orange trees. Puur en ontspannen

De ontvangst door Patrick was buitengewoon hartelijk, een rondleiding in het huis liet gelijk zien dat aan alles is gedacht. Het huis is ruim, mooi ingericht en heerlijk koel op warme dagen. In de royale tuin is het heerlijk rustig, je kunt er op diverse plekken zon of schaduw vinden. Het zwembad is heerlijk! Patrick heeft een mooi overzicht gemaakt in een mapje van wat er allemaal in de omgeving te beleven is en hoever dat is. Wij zijn er drie weken geweest en hebben genoten!

Heerlijk huis op een idyllische plek

We hebben twee heel fijne weken gehad in dit comfortabele en gezellig ingerichte huis. De foto’s geven een goed beeld van hoe het er is. We hebben genoten van de heerlijke tuin, het mooie uitzicht (elke avond zagen we aan de bosrand een ree tevoorschijn komen), de tafeltennistafel en op kille avonden (april) van een houtvuurtje in de grote haard in de keuken.Patrick is een zeer vriendelijke gastheer, die ervoor zorgt dat het je aan niets ontbreekt en zijn gasten tegelijkertijd volledige privacy geeft.De ligging van het huis was wat ons betreft ook ideaal: heel rustig en landelijk, maar dichtbij Bordeaux en allerlei andere interessante plekken om heen te gaan.Wij komen hier zeker graag nog eens terug!

Entspannter Urlaub

Die Ferienwohnung ist so, wie beschrieben. Sehr groß, viel Garten, absolut ruhig gelegen. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Ein guter Ort, um zu entspannen und/oder die Umgebung zu erkunden. Der Vermieter Patrick unternimmt alles, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Excellent sejour dans le Bordelais

Patrick nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de bienveillance et d'attention (gateau, bouteille de vin). La maison est très spacieuse, très bien équipée et très propre. Le propriétaire nous a remis une documentation sur la region qui est très riche. A recommander totalement.

Belle propriété

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette propriété très accueillante. La maison est bien équipée, la literie est confortable, tout est fait pour que l'on se sente bien, on a l'impression d'arriver chez des amis. La situation est parfaite, au calme, et bien située pour visiter la région. Ne manquez pas d'aller faire un tour à "La cabane dans les vignes" à Tabanac, c'est un endroit magique pour aller boire un verre et manger un morceau en fin de journée. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Sehr schöne Urlaubstage in einem sehr schönen Haus

Sehr schönes Haus, ruhig gelegen am Waldrand. Auf dem großen Grundstück sind ein Pool, Tischtennis und Badminton. Im Haus fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Patrick der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Schöne Umgebung mit vielen Ausflugszielen.

Ruhe und Erholung vom Alltag

Das sehr schön und ruhig gelegene Ferienhaus besticht durch viel Platz, einen großen Pool und einen großen Garten. Der Vermieter Patrick ist bei Rückfragen gerne zur Stelle. Er hat sogar noch eine Angelmöglichkeit für unseren Ältesten organisiert. Vielen Danke, gerne wieder !

Stefan, sa femme et ses trois enfants ont été des hôtes particulièrement agréables. Ils ont profité pleinement de leurs vacances en Nouvelle Aquitaine. Visite du patrimoine, château de Cadillac Bordeaux, sans oublier les châteaux des meilleurs crus. Mais les enfants n'ont pas été oubliés Arbor et Sens, EXO 33 Baurech, sans oublier quelques journées de pêche à Targon. En résumé des vacanciers agréables profitant de chaque instant. Je recommande Stefan et sa famille vous n'aurez aucun soucis, que des plaisirs. Ils vous redonneront la joie de recevoir.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances à la métairie. Le propriétaire est très à l'écoute de ses hôtes. Nous recommandons fortement ce logement vaste et très bien équipé.

Maison charmante dans un environnement apaisant et ressourçant

La maison de Patrick est absolument charmante et située dans un cadre apaisant. Son grand jardin est propice à la farniente et sa grande piscine est LE super bonus ;-) je vous recommande cette location entre amis, en couple ou en famille. La région est magnifique. Saint Émilion n’est qu’à 25mns de voiture et vous trouvez à moins de 7km tout y tas de domaines pour agrémenter de bons vins votre séjour. N’hésitez pas une seule minute : c’est l’endroit qu’il vous faut !

What a fabulous house in the country!

La Metarie is the best HomeAway house we have stayed in, and we have stayed in quite a few in different parts of the world. It is extremely well appointed with absolutely everything anyone would need. It is spacious, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The two bathrooms make for comfort and ease for a family (we were three adults) It was too cold to use the pool but we sat under the tree and enjoyed the sunset hour round the table, looking out over the hills and woods-beautiful!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à la Métairie. L'accueil, le logement, la vue, la piscine, la région,... Tous les ingrédients étaient réunis pour passer de superbes vacances!

Hervé Tampère et toute sa famille ont été des hôtes très sympathiques. Appréciant les charmes de la campagne tout en aménageant des moments de ballades à vélo avec leur petit fils, cependant la canicule a freiné leurs hardeurs. Je recommande ces voyageurs respectueux des lieux mis à leur disposition.
