The House at Canyon Creek Canyon

The House at Canyon Creek is a fifth generation log cabin in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains four miles east of Ten Sleep in Ten Sleep Canyon. We are on the way to Yellowstone National Park and you can enjoy hiking, swimming, and fly fishing (catch and release) in Canyon Creek which runs through the property. Our family has enjoyed this retreat for years; we welcome your family and hope you will enjoy it also. Maybe a family reunion is in your future?

The House sleeps eight (three bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa). There are a Pak-N-Play also available. The cabin is fully furnished including linens, kitchen dishes and pots, washer/dryer, coffee pot and Keurig, and central air conditioning. It was updated in 2019.

Head on into Ten Sleep to find a grocery store, restaurants, saloons, a water splash in the park, and the local library.

Head down to the Cabana at the swimming hole, jump off the rope swing, build a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows! Or sit on the deck and watch the stars!

Canā€™t say enough positive about this property. The check-in process was super easy and the property was exactly as promised. If you want to relax, this is the place to stay. We enjoyed just hanging out so much that we skipped some of the other activities we had planned. Lots of reading and just relaxing. The cabana by the creek is awesome and the huge porch is perfect for eating outside, playing cards, etc. if you have a hankering for ā€œcivilizationā€ Ten Sleep is just a few minutes down the road.

Ten Sleep- a destination. Property is Fantastic

2nd yr in a row our group of buddies have stayed here. Love the area- so much to do. Property is perfectly situated & just the right touch of rustic but well maintained. Missed seeing our host this year- always like to shake the hand of the person & personally thank them for letting us stay

Great Property!

We had an absolute blast during our stay! The property was amazing and we so enjoyed our time hiking! My boys' favorite part was playing by the creek and swinging into the water on the rope swing after our hikes. The city of Ten Sleep is quaint and adorable. We loved the ice cream at Dirty Sally's! Secluded home with a spectacular view. Hanging outside and listening to the creek is so relaxing. The house is well kept with all of the amenities to make you feel at home. Contact with the owner was easy when needed. P.S. donā€™t leave without climbing the white rock cliff!!

Great stay!

Andersons were best hosts. Very informative as well. Enjoyed our stay and surrounding area and national forest. Target shooting, swimming hole and creek, bbq, fishing, ATVs, the hatchery and micro brew in town. Whats not to like. Had a wonderful time and able to unplug, unwind and have some fun. We shared a bunch of pics with family and friends. All were jealous. Best VRBO stay for us guys. May be seeing you again. Many thanks!

Wow! This is a gem!!

I wish I could rate this with more than the maximum stars. We really have no words for how incredible the entire experience of staying here was. The property is wonderful and a great get-away - one that has been in the family for over 100 years! The kids (teens) were happy to hang out at the cabana and take the rope swing/glide on tubes in the creek and my husband and I enjoyed the mountain bike trails that the property manager (Sarah) guided us through! A wonderful time at an awesome place run by stellar owners. Thank you Sarah and Aaron for a much needed break!

This is a incredibly beautiful location. The private access to the river is an awesome bonus. It is minutes away from town and a short jaunt to Meadow Lark Lake. I cant imagine how anyone could be disappointed in their stay.

Amazing property

This place is better than the pictures! Every morning we sat out on the porch and watched the sun rise in the canyon and this squirrel hop over to the apple tree and back to the power line carrying an apple larger than its head back across. The cutest! Sitting outside at night for dinner this family of deer would come in the graze apples. The fawns were precious. Creek was amazing! Kitchen is fully stocked and even has nice pans. Tap water tasted great as well. This house was relaxing and really made our two weeks in Ten Sleep.

Ten Sleep and rock climbing

My whole family loved our stay at the cabin! Oh my it far exceeded my expectations and the photos donā€™t do the property justice. The cabin is just off the road leading into the canyon but you feel as though youā€™re on your own oasis. Itā€™s in a beautiful canyon and you can take the best walks with the best views! We so enjoyed swimming in the creek and the rope swing. If you are there to Rock climb you couldnā€™t find a better location- itā€™s just down from the rock ranch. Sarah and Aaron are just the best owners/hosts. Heaven! Canā€™t wait to come back.

Excellent property with tons of character

Great space inside. Loved hiking up the eastern canyon wall and beyond. Some of our coolest hikes were at the property. I would love to come back in warmer weather when we could try the rope swing. Thanks for sharing this property!

Our great-grandmother built the original cabin and our dad added on. All three of us grew up swimming in the creek, catching frogs and fish, and have brought our own families here to relax and enjoy. Our family were early settlers in the Big Horn Basin and one of us still ranches here in Ten Sleep.
