Lotfi and Mary are the most welcoming of any hosts we have ever experienced. They provided much useful information about the apartment, surrounding shops and restaurants, with detailed instructions on how to take public transport. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable, with some food and basic needs provided. Access to a private parking garage nearby was very useful and the locality appears to be quite safe. It was such a delight staying there we will be sure to come again when we next visit Brussels.

The apartment was clean and quite spacious for two, and there were numerous shops and restaurants in our neighborhood. And our hosts were wonderful. Food, snacks, and beverages were provided to us upon arrival.Our only disappointment was that due to the cancellation of our flight because of a nationwide air traffic control problem in Britain, we missed our first night at the property. However our hosts were very understanding about our delayed arrival.If I ever return to Brussels, I staying here again. I highly recommend the apartment, and our hosts.

We had a wonderful stay - the place is kept very clean - the owners live just above and make sure that your stay is good as can be. It is well located - within walking distance to subway station and there is a bus stop steps away. It is my forth year coming to this location and we always enjoy it very much

This apartment is excellent. Hosts are very helpful. The apartment is well stocked in the kitchen and bath. Host had already stocked coffee, tea, milk, eggs, bread to get you started. Shower accessories were also complete. Washing machine and dishwasher. 10 minute uber tide to central station or nord station. I loved staying here!

Great stay in Brussels

I stayed for 4 days again this year and this place is very nicely kept; it is very clean and quiet. The hosts are very nice and they make sure that everything you may need is provided. The location is great, easy access by bus and within walking distance to the metro.

Amazing

We stayed at this location and were very impressed. Both owners greeted us in person (early to help accommodate our needs for an early check in), both were very warm and accommodating. This is a place you must visit! It is central and there is parking included - this is a massive advantage!

I could write an essay on the hospitality of the hosts alone. The communication was timely and smooth, and the welcome meeting was beyond words. The apartment is spotless, equipped down to the tiniest detail, with everything you can think of, and things you didn't even know you would need. And I won't even start on the generous amount of food items they provide. Everything is thoughtful, clearly with a tired guest after a long journey in mind.You would usually only meet this kind of hospitality from close loved ones. It was truly above and beyond. Whenever I am in Brussels, I know where I am staying.Nice detail: a quiet neighborhood with a perfect, very quick connection to the city centre and Noord station (from which the metro goes to the airport), plus plenty of shops and cafés nearby.Thank you so much to you both, for taking such good care of me!

Second Time Still the Charm!

This is the second time I’ve enjoyed the privilege of staying at this perfect little home away from home. Ideally located within a charming neighborhood, and within a mile of many of the major attractions, the hosts are thoughtful and kind, and particularly welcoming. This spotless flat has all the conveniences one needs for a restful, pleasant stay.

We stayed here during the pre-Christmas period. The communication and friendly welcome from day one was fantastic; the owners are very kind and helpful. We even found fresh food in the fridge and pantry, allowing us to have dinner upon our arrival (we arrived in the evening). This was quite unusual and we greatly appreciated it. The house was also very clean and equipped with every comfort. We also had parking in a convenient garage just a few steps from the house. Highly recommended.

Stay here if you can! Lofti and Mary have made a beautiful apartment fitted with every possible thing you could need to stay a night or a year. The kitchen is a true cooks delight with many items already included such as eggs, milk, coffee and butter. My 4 night stay even had wine and chocolates. The welcome was warm and caring. I felt more like a friend than a guest.

This apartment was a home away from home for us. We stayed in the apartment for a week last week and liked everything about it. The apartment was immaculately clean and comfortable. Mary and Lotfi were wonderfully welcoming hosts. Lotfi would respond to your questions promptly. The internet was stable and fast enough, and the TV has many channels, with some in English: e.g., BBC and CNN. We were able to catch some Wimbledon live actions after returning from a day's outing. Although the bedroom faces the street (Rue Gustave Fuss), when the windows were shut tight, you wouldn't hear a thing, and when the curtains were closed, you could sleep easily in relative darkness, on the comfortable bed. The food and drinks they prepared for guests were a special bonus, saving you an initial trip to a supermarket. The bus 61 has a stop a stone's throw away from the door. We took it several times to get to Brussels Noord station merely 7 stops away. The city center isn't difficult to get to, and we even walked there once or twice. All in all, this is such a nice apartment for a longer stay in Brussels!!

The very nice appartement, clean, cosy, reasonably close to the city center (20 min by foot) is the ideal base for visiting Bruxelles. The owners provided lots of bits an pieces in kitchen, bathroom and living room to get us started. Thanks for all.

A Home Away From Home

From the moment I arrived for my two week stay in Brussels, I was positively thrilled that I had booked this spotlessly clean, conveniently located, and wonderfully kitted out apartment from Mary and Lotfi. The apartment possesses all the conveniences one would need for an extended stay and, for a cook like me who prefers to eat in rather than dine out, I was delighted to make meals in a kitchen that had everything I needed. I am already looking forward to my next visit and extend my strongest endorsement for these lovely hosts and this exceptional property.

First time in Brussels

This property is very close to the bus stops that will take you directly to and from the north train station which is very helpful if you plan on touring other parts of Belguim. The area is old Brussels, with small grocery stores in the area. The hosts were very helpful and made sure everything was okay, they even leave food in the apartment so you don't have to go out right away to get food. Overall, if we returned to Brussels again, we would stay at this apartment again.

Great stay again

I just spent another 7 days in this apartment. For the past 3 years, I am always been going to this place. It is kept very clean - the hosts (Mary and Lotfi) are very nice. They alway make sure you do not miss anything. On my arrival, there is always some basic food in the fridge and some fruits as well. Close to the Parc du Cinquantenaire - Nice little places (grocery, resto, bars) along the Noyer street.Will go back again

A perfect Brussels apartment

We spent a lovely few days in Brussels at this wonderful apartment. The hosts were delightful: helpful, unobtrusive, generous in what was provided for us, we couldn't have asked for more. The apartment had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. It is also very convenient for buses into the city centre. If you are planning on visiting this city then you MUST use this apartment!...and you must go to The Music Village!!! Paul and Suzanne Day

Cosy apartment for 2

This apartment is nicely situated with access to bus and metro lines, only a 10 minutes to reach central sites. It is comfortable and well maintained and the owners Mary and Lofti are very warm and welcoming. Windows in front and doors to back enclosed courtyard give cross ventilation, it was 24 degrees so we appreciated this element. The owners keep it well stocked with fruit, yogurt, bread , all you need for your first morning. we truly appreciated their welcome and kindness and would return again.

Excellent apartment in a great location

Two week stay in December for the Christmas markets. Our hosts met us when we arrived and explained everything about the apartment and how to get around Brussels. The apartment was well stocked with food, drinks, bread, cheese, chocolates, coffee, etc. We are a little older, in our 70's, and we loved this place. Everything was new and modern and clean. We walked (once) to the Park and Grote Markt but it was a 2 mile walk. There is a bus just 2 minutes from the apartment and it takes you to the Metro and the North Train Station. The public transportation in Brussels is excellent and cheap. There are restaurants and grocery markets close by.The internet was fast and reliable. We always rent thru VRBO when we travel and this was the best apartment we have rented in the last 4 years.

I would do this review in French so that Mary and Lofti could feel the full essence of my heartfelt gratitude for their hospitality, kindness, grace, and professionalism. But I want others to know this too. I’ve stayed at many top rate VRBO locations for travel. This listing is without debate the BEST one ever for me. The hosts are true human beings in tune to the needs of a visiting traveler and have prepared an apartment (plein de) full of all necessary things to support starting a séjour. Unparalleled attention not only to detail, but also practicality. The location of the listing is perfect for both working and vacationing. Access to buses, metro, and simply walking (even at night) are convenient and safe. I had several high-end meetings that I could either walk to and from or connect with public transportation and show up on time and prepared. The neighborhood is unique, safe, and diverse. From art nouveau to Mediterranean flare, Schaerbeek safely has it all. You will enjoy this stay and grace à Mary and Lofti you will settle in comfortably and experience the charm of Brussels and surround areas. Bravo Mary and Lofti for making complete strangers feel part of our human community . Can’t wait to stay there again soon. Au fond du mon Coeur!!

GREAT little VRBO in Brussels!

This modern, ultra-clean and neat little apartment is conveniently located near Central Brussels and two major bus routes. It's an older neighborhood but there are three excellent restaurants and one incredible Italian Pasticceria (pastry shop) within easy walking distance. The available garage unit made it a great place if you have a rental car, as we did. On-street parking anywhere in BRU is very hard to find and expensive! Mary and Lotfi (the owners) live directly above the ground-floor unit, and are SUPER to deal with. They gave us a very thorough in-briefing despite our flying into BRU pretty late at night. They had stocked the place with everything we could have needed for the first couple of days, and were available 24/7 for help if needed. Plus: Lotfi walked us to the garage at 06:30 AM for our early departure so we didn't have to get creative turning in the garage door opener. We couldn't have asked for a better "Pied a terre" in Brussels, and would go back there in a heartbeat. And BTW: did I mention that all this comes at a BARGAIN price!? We cannot recommend this place highly enough...
