Relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of FIGHTINGTOWN CREEK right outside your cabin. Fish for native trout, pan for gold, snooze in the creekside hammock, with a roaring fire at the creekside firepit. The Benton MacKaye hiking trail is within a short walk of your rustic, cabin and when you return, soak in the large hot tub under the stars as the water flows by, or enjoy a drink while overlooking the water from the wraparound deck. Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened porch. As one of Sliding Rock Cabins' private cabins, Riverhouse Retreat is nested on 4 ACRES of deeply wooded forest in the North Georgia Mountains and is a perfect romantic getaway. Main floor: 1 king bedroom & 1 bath with shower/tub combo. Upstairs loft has open king bedroom, and bathroom with tub/shower combo. FENCED yard off gated decks, screened porch, woodburning fireplace, firepit, Wireless DSL. Dog Friendly with no pet fees. No Cats please. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. This property was VERY pet friendly! The scenery was picturesque and the sound of the stream outside was hypnotic. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay long enough. Highly recommend this cabin to others and would love to come back again soon.

Relaxing Retreat

We loved this place. It was a relaxing retreat. All you have to bring is food, clothes and a good book. The cabin has everything else that you need to relax and enjoy nature.

Wonderful weekend getaway

The property was perfect. Slept with the sounds of the creek. We loved the little fenced area to let the dogs out. It was very convenient for hiking. We would definitely come back!

Lovely cabin

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It’s tucked away from other cabins (although you will see a road on the other end of the creek that gets a moderate amount of traffic driving by from other cabins), incredibly dog friendly, and very close driving distance to all the activities at Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The cabin itself is cozy and has all the amenities that you could need for a stay. The hot tub, grill, and outdoor fire pit were our personal favorites. Thank you again for a great getaway!

cabin was super cute..just what we needed to recharge... The road was no joke getting in to the cabin Lol it was a bit rainy and drainage was an issue in the dog yard... but they loved being able to come and go all around the deck... Beautiful area.. the creek was amazing.. would have loved an easier way to get down to the water..but it was a little chilly anyways... overall a great experience...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay, the house was a good size for us and our 3 dogs. It was clean and really had all we needed for our stay. I really loved the fact that our dogs could sit outside with us by the creek. There is plenty of outdoor space to play ball with the dogs and just let them enjoy a walk in the creek.I was concerned when I saw people had commented there was a road on the other side of the creek but really didn't see many cars go by and it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the atmosphere. We did hike the Benton Mackaye trail that is right near the cabin and one other that was only 12 minutes away. Our dogs have good recall so we didn't use the fenced area much but it is sufficient if you need it. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. All and all had a great time and grateful for being able to rent this cabin with our dogs.

Remote a good and bad thing😊

We had a great stay-everything we needed except cereal bowls…really? Comfy with great wrap around deck-3 sides Did not use hot tub but tempted since it was already warm!😃 No issues that would keep us from returning. Ground clearance and 4wheel drive could have been needed if very wet or snowy.

This place was perfect for my two senior dogs (one with limited mobility and one who had a leg amputation in February as he fights cancer). They had such a blast walking down to the fire pit every day, listening to the birds, and basking in the fresh air. We made so many wonderful memories here, and we do plan to come back. We cannot wait!
